Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Arbitration Board Says That Racist Grifter Karen Attiah Was Wrongly Fired for Making Up Fake Racist Quotes "by" Charlie Kirk and Celebrating His Murder; Hasan Piker Mocks Kirk's Murder in Hate RallyKaren Attiah is a degenerate, unqualified DEI hire formerly, and now presently, employed by the Washington Post to write the same three columns about racism, colonialism, "Islamaphobia" and sexism over and over again while hammering checks. After she made up fake quotes by Charlie Kirk and used them as a predicate for celebrating his murder, the incoming less-leftwing management of the Washington Post fired her. She sued, which invoked an arbitration over the firing. (Which was specified in her contract, it seems.) The arbitrator decided that it's no big deal for a "journalist" to make up quotes and justify political assassination of conservatives and ordered her to be rehired and be paid for the year she had off.Really? Is conservatives' free speech worth fighting for? If Scott Jennings glorifies violence against leftists, will you fight for his right to agitate for assassination while collecting a corporate check, too? ... The decision -- which is binding, according to WaPo's labor agreement -- caps off a yearlong battle after Attiah argued a slew of controversial social media posts she fired off the day of Kirk's shocking killing did not violate company policy. On Sept. 10, 2025, Attiah wrote in a Bluesky post: "Part of what keeps America so violent is the insistence that people perform care, empty goodness and absolution for white men that espouse hatred and violence." In another post that day, she wrote: "Refusing to tear my clothes and smear ashes on my face in performative mourning for a white man that espoused violence is ... not the same as violence." ... Wayne Connell, WaPo's chief HR officer, wrote that Attiah's Bluesky posts had violated the company's social media policies, harmed "the integrity of our organization" and potentially endangered "the physical safety of our staff." ... Attiah's case against the WaPo went to arbitration in June and included testimony from her, O'Neal and Connell. Attiah was represented by lawyers from Democracy Defenders Action, a nonprofit co-founded by lawyer Norman Eisen, and the Washington-Baltimore News Guild.Norman Eisen is the guy behind the Infinite Lawfare against Trump. Am I allowed to justify violence against Normal Eisen or is that an offense worthy of cancellation? I assume it's the latter, right? Meanwhile, Gay Islamist Race Hustler and assassination-agitator Hasan Piker is on some kind of gay tour and led his crowd in cheering the murder of Charlie Kirk. We have seen protesters on the left around the country mocking the assassination of Charlie Kirk, even reenacting his murder. Hate traffickers like Jennifer Welch have even justified his assassination. It is all shocking and depressing, but none reached the level of Hasan Piker leading a huge crowd in mocking Kirk and his faith. Before he was murdered, Kirk debated Piker and called him a "socialist hypocrite." What is shocking is not the utter depravity and cruelty of Piker, but the ecstasy of the crowd in relishing the death of someone with opposing views. It is part of the conditioning in an "age of rage." In the video, Piker leads the crowd in the meme song "We Are Charlie Kirk" at a stop of his "Fear& LIVE" tour, including such lines as "We are Charlie Kirk, we carry the flame. We'll fight for the Gospel, we'll honor his name." His co-hosts and the crowd seem to be laughing with joy. Joining him at this hatefest at the Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco on August 21 were reportedly Will Neff, QTCinderella, and AustinShow. Hasan is wearing his now-signature Mao jacket as the young crowd and his co-hosts laugh hysterically. It is the very essence of this movement to desensitize people, particularly young people, to violence and hate. In Rage and the Republic, I wrote about this national ragefest. It allows people to hate completely and without thought to the humanity of those being hurt. What people will not admit is that they like it. Rage is addictive, and it is contagious. Just look at the crowd in San Francisco, and you will see the addictive quality of uncut, undiluted hate:

The judiciary is squarely aligned with the left. That's the side in the social/ideological/political war we're fighting they've chosen. It's why the left seems to win most legal arguments that clearly should have been lost. It's why many laws that should be followed or make sense, are struck down and others that make zero sense are upheld. It's why James Comey is a free man and Trump was indicted multiple times and had to fight for his freedom in court... even with the charges being so obviously politically charged or based on crazy interpretations of law.

El Malo Gato's take on Hassan the Piker, and "voices" who do the same schtick:
hasan is not an intellectual. he’s an embarrassment to submidwittery. listen to him speak. he’s actually, legitimately stupid. but being a leading light is not his role. piker is a permission giver. he says wild, accusatory, hateful things and brands out-groups as evil. people follow him not because he's smart, they follow him because he gives them justification to hate while casting it (at least in their own minds) as justice and tolerance. it allows them to view some people as less than human. this belief unlocks permission to act beastly toward others and call it virtue. his entire product is "feel good about being a bad person, feel good about being a coercive crybully taker instead of a builder or a maker." he sells license. and a lot of badly adjusted cluster B jerks are lined up out the door to buy. it's pathology club: external validation for those with externalized identities. but once you’re in, you’re caught. many will know the expression that “those who can be made to believe absurdities can be made to commit atrocities.” "Making Idiots Useful" https://tinyurl.com/2ze9scdd Posted by: Kindltot at August 24, 2026 02:42 PM (rbvCR) 54

It's incredible that the WaPo can't fire her for cause." --------------------------------------- First it depends on the State. Decent States (red) are employee-at-will states; one can be fired at any time and for any (or no) reason. When they want to fire someone, I advise my clients just to say, "your services are no longer required; good luck." Giving a reason just invites argument, at best. If one is not careful, the reason given can end up being a basis for lawsuit: saying "we just want some new blood around here," can lead to age or racial discrimination claims. Clients frequently don't follow my advice; they are basically good people who don't want to appear cruel (hereinafter called, "defendants"). >>>That, plus I believe he dropped the "word" (n__) on a member of the cast.
So the one thing I got from the documentary is that that story, at least as Chase tells it/revises it, isn't that bad. Chase was angry that the writers were writing him as a bitter loser old man. (The writers were probably channeling their real feelings about Chase into the character of Pierce.) He objected to a season 4 episode in which he was supposed to do a blackface hand-puppet. He complained that the writers were making the character more and more braindead-racist, and remarked, "Next thing you do you'll have me calling Donald and Yvette (the black cast members) n******s." And Yvette, whatever her name is, freaked out and left the set and refused to work with Chase after that. Chase was fired soon after. If Chase's retelling is true, it's not all that bad. I mean, he didn't actually call them that. He was complaining about being made to say more and more racist things. And also that Yvette woman is an SJW which I know from her various comments in her real life interviews. Posted by: ace at August 24, 2026 03:01 PM (1wjle) 134

that said, he should have been fired years before that. He was bad on the show and had a diva attitude that made it impossible for everyone else. He insisted on being "shot out," which is what a "star" does to flex. When you shoot someone out, you shoot all of their dialogue scenes so that they can be done and go home early, with stand-ins and body doubles standing in for them when other characters are speaking (and they are all filmed later).
This minimized Chase's hours on the set but increased everyone else's. Joel McHale complained to him, "I'm missing my kids growing up right now so we can get you home early." Posted by: ace at August 24, 2026 03:03 PM (1wjle) 140

About 15-20 years ago Dreyfuss had some big movement that he wanted to build to fight for civility in political commentary. Formed an organization, did a bunch of interviews on network news and CSPAN etc. Then about 2-3 weeks after making the big announcement, he did an interview where he shit all over anyone to the right of Che Guevara. A bunch of folks called him out on it (including some people on the left, back when the left understood that they had to hide their love for totalitarianism). One internet wag on the gun blogs mentioned that the more he learned about fighting with the bayonet, the greater his desire to spend more time at the range improving his marksmanship.
Posted by: IllTemperedCur ====== The old bayonet fighting was part of using the entire rifle as a weapon--butt strokes, retention, bayonets were all necessary with bolt actions with small capacity magazines and before that single shots. Fast forward to semi and full auto with 20-30 round mags. From a training standpoint, just shooting them off the rifle was more convenient to teach. Modern ARs are also reconfigured that butt strokes with an adjustable plastic stock is a no go. Plus bayonets attached change the point of impact from teh point of aim unless you do like the Soviets and zero their iron sights with bayonets attached. Bayonets add a powerful psychological element. They mean you are willing to close with and destroy an enemy, real personal and in your face like.

132 I don't get it. Indentured servitude is illegal, shouldn't it apply on the employer's side as well?
Posted by: Blonde Morticia ----------------------------- Ah, now we get into whether employers can make employees only work for them. Big problem with trying that is involuntary servitude violates the Thirteenth Amendment, and that also covers contractually agreeing to be a slave. Employers sometimes are able to get around that by so-called services contracts (buyer has rights to everything seller produces; this sometimes works for movie actors and musicians) or more-commonly non-compete contracts. If employee leaves, he can't go to work for competitor or set up a competing business. Courts have generally upheld non-compete contracts, but they must be limited in time and geography. Dreyfuss is a pussy. Which is why a bully like Robert Shaw took so much pleasure in mercilessly baiting him.
I remember watching him do a grovelling apology interview almost immediately. Even a homo cocksucker like Mark Ruffalo has the stones to say "fuck you, no apology". Motion pictures have been under the jurisdiction of IATSE for many, many decades. Either a union crew or the picture doesn't get made. Proof that Chevy Chase sucked: Both of his "replacements," Jonathan Banks and Keith David, are awesome. Posted by: ace at August 24, 2026 03:08 PM (1wjle) Chevy has always sucked. He built his career on making faces and that smarmy used car salesman voice. Close enough to stab, then why not shoot them. Trash it out with the mess kit, even though it's a fine field knife. Same guys that would pitch the M7 stood in line if KBars came up for issue because they're cool.
