Fantastic: Somali Immigrant Named "Oustanding Refugee Award for Entrepreneurship" by Minnesota Charged With Stealing US Taxpayer Money Through Medicaid Fraud (and Also Running a Sex Trafficking Ring)

It's almost as if a foreign pirate's idea of "entrepreneurship" and "hard work" is simply stealing from the Stupid Whiteys who took pity on him.

In 2021, Salman Ahmed Elmi was awarded the Outstanding Refugee Award for Entrepreneurship by the Minnesota Department of Human Services. Now, he's facing charges in connection with a Medicaid fraud scheme with alleged ties to a sex trafficking ring.

Elmi, a native of Somalia, was charged last week with three counts of aiding and abetting theft by swindle and five counts of aiding and abetting theft by false representation.
Prosecutors allege Elmi and three associates -- Frank Reeves, Viktoriya Komonash and Andrea Sampson -- ran four agencies that they used to bill more than $4.5 million to Medicaid since 2023. Those agencies were called Reva Health, Reva Autism, Helpful Housing and Homefelt Assisted Living.
Elmi and his associates allegedly recruited young women who were homeless or struggling with addiction, housing or finances. They then rented apartments in the women's names using fake pay stubs and enlisted them in a pay-for-sex scheme. Investigators say they've been tracking the alleged sex trafficking ring since 2019. Sampson and Reeves were arrested as part of the sex trafficking ring bust last week.

Well, that is certainly outstanding.

The group then began stealing victims' identities to bill Medicaid in their name, according to court filings.
Prosecutors say Elmi billed Medicaid for more than $1 million in services that were not provided or not eligible. He and his co-conspirators are accused of falsifying documents to get Medicaid reimbursements.
Elmi was released from custody on Monday, though a judge ordered him to surrender his passport and remain in Minnesota.

About that last part: Soros-connected "prosecutor" Steve Descano of ultra-blue Fairfax County, VA, helped an Islamist killer flee the country.

- after 9/11, I really thought they should take the steel columns, cut them up, and put a memorial for each person killed, in their home town, country, or city (except anyone who lived in muslim country) they should have been the height of the person, and laser cut with name, DOB, location when killed, etc.

Who permitted him to leave? How? How was that even technically possible? It should have been blocked by some fricking Microsoft process management program. Why didn't the FPSHP have a list of conditions that barred admission? Among them, admittee is subject to a court's order to not leave inpatient hospitalization?

Badly designed processes up and down. There were people who saw this happening, saying "But we're leaving these holes!" and "We need to change the business rules!" and a bunch of dumb supervisors said "We're doing it this way" and here we are and no one will lose their job. I have a friend who is going through the naturalization process (from Sweden) after he found a nice American girl who made him an honest man...

The green card process is quite honestly quite baffling to me. It seems that its rather opaque, expensive and kafka-esque.

He couldn't travel to games (he's a pro hockey player) in Canada while he was going through the process because he wouldn't be allowed back in, but then last summer he had to leave the country for 90 days and then come back on a specific day. It was so weird when I hear the story relayed to me.

Not saying it shouldn't be hard to become a US Citizen but its kind of whacked seeing it play out.

I ended up with several lovely bruises, a cut on the back of my head, and a couple of lovely swollen knuckles. They ended up expelled permanently, back when that meant something and there was a will to discipline. You know, the Dark Ages.

Low IQ and no idea of the boundaries of good behavior. Anger and violence as the only response to any stimulus. Civil terrorists. I'm sure they learned nothing whatsoever from the encounter.

And it's quite sustainable (proper use of the term). Plenty of Dem voters who are happy with it/oblivious to and unaffected by it/ignorant and stupid tribal voters to sustain it, most places.

And the GOP is mostly useless, sympathetic, or oblivious as well. And its voters keep putting in the non-entities that helped lead us to this situation. For now we have an extreme outlier (Trump) rowing (with some success) against the tide. But the tide is the tide.
