Ah, the old hide your fraud attempts in white text on a white background trick. And I would have got away with it too, if it weren't for that meddling Select All.
Had that happen in a lawsuit. The other side sent a PDF with a list of expenses, but "blacked out" what each expense was specifically for. I was trying to copy it into another document and noticed the "blacked out" text wasn't actually blacked out...he had, for the third time, using yet another lawyer, to have the lawyer investigate his claims, something that had already been proven exactly wrong in court multiple times... Posted by: Warai-otoko" I was in The Marine Corps at one time, I don't know if I ever mentioned that. I got a bad reputation early on, unearned, and a cuck bitch of a staff NCO, held a grudge against me and was head hunting me from the time I was a PFC, and he caught me by chance of my duty station that made him my SNCOIC, and he poisoned the fuck out of that well. I had eyes on me constantly. I was good, but I always had eyes and I was defiant, "FUCK YOU!" in their face, no subtlety, it eventually lead to the opportunity that he wanted. I got a summary Court-martial, basically lost a year of service in terms of advancement and pay, about 6 months of freedom through brigg, restriction and supervised billets. BUT! ODDLY I would say that it helped me become better. I refused to take an Admin, I fought my ass off every month when boat spaces were adjusted and all the administrative bullshit goes on, and I held on, And while going through all that shit, my 2 commands started out trying to hide me. "Put him in S/R" I hated it, but I learned about logistics, and how to read the paper, "Make him pubs so he spends all day taping shit in books" but I read those books, "Mods and Calibration." And because I read the books, knew the logistics, I understood it, and the dipshits, while trying to . . . not punish me, but HIDE me, ended up giving me all of the information I needed to be the fucking best.

Almost a year to the day of my SMC, I recieved a NMCAM and a month later Marine of month (I was still an LCpl) put of for a second month, but I was on another (total 4) Merit board, so I had my meritorious promotion sent to group, only to be pulled back because that one fucking CUCK actively lobbied my command. and then 3 months later I was meritoriously promoted again.
I had a bad rep, which was NOT mine, I know who's it was, but it wasn't me and it ain't my job to take care of a cucks wife, so I didn't say shit, and I caught all the heat, because I fucked up once. I did it gloriously don't get me wrong, I fucked up, but the attempt to destroy me? My name's all over The Corps, I can promise you. It will be a while before everything I wrote and codified is replaced. He won though, because he was in charge of boat spaces at the time of my re-enlistment, which meant I couldn't re-enlist. My MOS was dead, I could only extend until a lat was approved. Posted by: wickedpinto at August 15, 2026 05:58 AM (r/8/x) 56

My only option was riding out 6 month extensions fucking over everyone else in my MOS because as a Merit Corporal I close even more boat spaces for other people, and as long as he had influence, I would have been riding 6 months right up to if not pass the 2 year option, which would have forced me out anyway.

I hadn't read that. I hope they accept your offer. Posted by: FenelonSpoke at August 15, 2026 06:26 AM (m6Eem) 83
Wolfus the summers will be nice at least, winters get to -10 average in Moscow

If and when it is accepted, then begins the long slog toward Moscow.

If it were Texas, it'd probably be "Terry Howtey" or something, y'all take some kind of strange joy in reading toponyms in the weirdest way conceivable.

Posted by: Skip at August 15, 2026 *** Napoleon's soldiers, and those of Hitler, didn't have Walmart to restock their rations. Yes, I looked at the weather history there on Wunderground. Last December had lows around -4. On the other hand, it was 73 yesterday with rain, there'll be some more rain today, and a high on Sunday of 90. Such a nice change from the endless March to November here of "low 80, high 95, maybe some rain if you're lucky, but then the air turns into a steambath." 77 No matter how much I grow to dislike Tucker Carlson, I'll always remember fondly that he made saying "Don Le MON" a thing.
That's my little olive branch of the day. Posted by: Warai-otoko at August 15, 2026 06:21 AM (Ot/FD) That's nice of you; I mean that sincerely. Now do Jake Tapper? Posted by: m at August 15, 2026 06:31 AM (odBC9) 91
How do they pronounce Terre Haut out that way?
"Tare Oat"? "Terruh Hoat"? Posted by: Warai-otoko at August 15, 2026 *** I think the latter. Somebody here suggested "Terra Ho," and I like that, but I expect I'd better not use it around locals right away. Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius, Dreaming of Elsewhere at August 15, 2026 06:32 AM (wzUl9) 92

Posted by: m at August 15, 2026 06:31 AM (odBC9) Might as well, it ain't like his wife is using him. Posted by: Warai-otoko at August 15, 2026 06:32 AM (Ot/FD) Processing 0.01, elapsed 0.0325 seconds. |
