Senate Panel Votes to Hold Fauci in Contempt, as Democrats Attempt to Stop The Vote Through Endless Delay
Senate Republicans moved to hold Dr. Anthony Fauci in contempt of Congress in their pursuit of forcing the former architect of the nation's COVID-19 response to go on record about his actions leading up to and during the pandemic. The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee voted on sharp party lines to charge Fauci, the former chief medical advisor to the president, with contempt after he refused to answer questions from both sides of the aisle over fear of self-incrimination. The move follows Fauci's decision to invoke his Fifth Amendment rights more than 100 times during his hearing last week, which prompted the panel's chair, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., to vow that he would face "repercussions" for not testifying, or at least how Paul envisioned.Fox is implying that Fauci did testify, just "not as Paul envisioned." Fox News is as liberal as CNN. I despise them.
Typically, once a contempt resolution passes by committee, it heads to the Senate floor for a full vote. However, Paul's resolution allows that step to be skipped altogether and allows him to send the referral directly to the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. But Paul wants the Department of Justice (DOJ) involved as soon as possible. There's also the question whether Fauci's pardon from former President Joe Biden protected him during the hearing, which Paul hopes to find answers to. "It's a good legal discussion, and we will make those legal points to DOJ in sending the referral over," Paul told Fox News Digital ahead of the hearing. ... Meanwhile, across the marble expanse of the Capitol, Republican investigators in the House are cooking up their own probe into Fauci.

I have yet to read a single article on anything Fauci was ever competent to do. I think he was a faker the entirety of his miserable career. He seems like the over educated low level functionary that was politically astute enough to cover for his failures and lacunae and move up the power structure to make more money and fame, without ever actually accomplishing anything.

Just some brief looking into this. Supposedly the Lyme disease bacteria goes back 60,000 years in NA. And supposedly that "Ice Man" mummy they discovered showed evidence of that bacteria in his system.

It's not really racist, its classist. The Upper class mixes less with natives and goes home to Spain, the middle and lower have less clout. Brazil is the same way, with the addition of black genes from slaves to the mix.

IMO, Minot is far more bleak than any major base in Alaska. Maybe some of the mothballed stations in the high Arctic that I mentioned above would be comparable, but certainly not JBER or even Eielson.

Adak does have some excellent hunting. The caribou herd has expanded a lot since the Navy base shut down.

Some of us crazy conspiracy theorists have been saying for years that Plum Island is the logical place for it to have escaped. Maybe we can finally get someone like RFK to look into it.

Wipe out all the ticks. This would greatly impact the only marsupial native to North America - the opossum, a voracious tick eater.
