Saturday Night Jokes and Other Funnies

A gynecologist noticed that his new patient seemed a little nervous, so he decided to lighten the mood.

As he pulled on a pair of latex gloves, he smiled and asked, "Do you know how these gloves are made?"

The woman shook her head. "No, I don't."

The doctor said, "There's a factory in Mexico where people with all different hand sizes dip their hands into liquid latex. They let it dry, then peel the latex off their hands, and that's how the gloves are made."

The woman didn't smile. She just stared at him with a blank expression...

The doctor thought his little joke had completely fallen flat.

A few seconds later, however, she suddenly burst into uncontrollable laughter.

Curious, the doctor asked, "What's so funny?"

Still laughing, she wiped away a tear and replied, "I'm sorry, Doctor... I was just imagining how they make condoms!"

-----

A woman is pregnant, and is practically 9 months along. She goes to see her doctor for a routine check-up.

She asks, "What if the baby starts coming, and I can't get to the hospital in time?"

The doctor replies, "Well, women have been having babies for a million years without a doctor in attendance. It's a very natural process. The first thing you do is to assume the same position you were laying in when you got pregnant."

The blonde interrupts with, "Do you mean with the left foot in the glove compartment and the right foot hanging out the window?"

Tour de France riders accused of cheating with bigger, padded bras - with teams calling for inspections

Cycling's newest performance enhancer isn't in a syringe - but in a sports bra.

Accusations of padded bras that can give women's Tour de France competitors an aerodynamic advantage are flying through the cycling world as breast and cup size bizarrely gets debated and even complaints get filed.

Dutch news outlet Wielerflits reported that several complaints have come in from women's WorldTeams about female cyclists allegedly exploiting their breast size by faking a larger cup size to use more padding in their bras during time trials.

08082026-TourDeFranceScandal.jpg

In complaints made to the UCI, teams want female padded bra inspectors to come in and check the riders in a closed tent to "ensure they are not hiding anything in their bras or under their aero clothing."

In unrelated news, Club ONT will be installing a tent out back shortly. Apologies for the inconvenience during installation.

Marmot hitches 75-mile road in Alberta man's car

An Alberta man said a marmot he found investigating the inside of his garage had apparently stowed away in his car for a 75-mile trip.

Chris Ratzlaff said his child alerted him to the presence of a large rodent in the family's Airdrie garage last week.

"It was hiding in a corner, and at first I thought it was maybe a porcupine, so I left the garage door open for it to leave," Ratzlaff told CTV News. "When it left, we could see that it was a marmot."

He said the marmot had apparently stowed away on a recent 75-mile drive from Kananaskis.

THESE LIMITED EDITION KLEIN TOOLS PLIERS CELEBRATE AMERICA'S 250TH BIRTHDAY

The Klein Tools 250th Edition Diagonal Cutting Pliers have a red, white, and blue colorway on the handles, with red and white on one and blue and white on the other. Functionally, however, these are the same Journeyman handles that Klein Tools customers will be familiar with. Klein complements the special colors with a laser-etched legend that states "250 USA Est. 1776" on the jaws, alongside a stylized version of Stars and Stripes above it.

CNN did a lengthy article, profiling a couple of 9/11 families they dug up to chastise the other, ignorant & divisive 9/11 families who are boycotting the commemoration ceremony because of the presence of Mayor Osama bin Lenin.

Somewhere, the families of Kate Steinle and Mollie Tibbetts are seething over the loss of their title as the most wretched, pathetic, self-abasing creatures ever to walk on two legs.

We need some detailed modelling of this boob aerodynamic effect. I mean some detailed analysis. With lots of wind tunnel video.

I'd be particularly interested in the aerodynamics of the nipples, so we'll need to do this both with bras and tops, and the totally bare. And there may some other, quite fascinating aerodynamics of various other body parts, curves, and contours of interest. Man, this could go on for years. Years of painstaking research.

I mean the boundary layer effects around nipples could be fascinating. Some surprises there. It may turn out that nipples add enough drag to counteract the effect, leading to a requirement that large breasted competitors will be required to ride topless (and we'll make sure the data show exactly this effect, like the Hockey Stick thing).

I don't know if you can call that cheating, though. Athletes wear all kinds of performance-enhancing clothes. The shoes, the body suits, then all the gear -- tennis rackets that make the ball go farther, better swimming goggles, all that stuff. Shaving their legs to reduce wind resistance. It gets into a grey area.

For whatever reason, Saijo has declared the upstairs a no go zone, so he has been in my room by himself a lot today. He is fine with stairs themselves, as there are quite a few to get to our front door, so not sure why he won’t just come upstairs.

The shoes, the body suits, then all the gear -- tennis rackets that make the ball go farther, better swimming goggles, all that stuff. Shaving their legs to reduce wind resistance. It gets into a grey area.

You are correct. There are dozens of examples. Two which come to mind are the swimsuits for the diving teams and swimming teams. Even the long jumpers on ski jumps have aerodynamically-designed suits, goggles, headcover, etc.

Like a pickup truck. It seems counterintuitive, but leaving the tailgate open, or replacing a solid tailgate with a net, actually makes aerodynamics worse. The solid tailgate holds a relatively-calm mass of air in the bed, so the airflow over the cab is smoother.

A padded bra isn't changing the biker's cross-section; all that air is still hitting her torso somewhere. The padding is just smoothing out the airflow.

152 To Hadrian - I just read your post in the previous thread about losing your music inventory. There are built-in ways to copy the titles in a Windows directory full of documents or folders - slightly different ways depending on which Windows version you have. Would be easiest for you to search for "copy titles in Windows __ folders" (include your version number). After you've copied and pasted the titles (into Word first, then move to Excel later), you will want to globally remove the excess (paths, file extensions) that comes before and after the actual titles.

Sounds complicated but it isn't. Goes very fast.

(And keep a USB stuck in your computer or laptop for backing up!)

Feminism has been trying to come up with an answer for the cubical grind and the most recent take I've seen is: "No one ever promised you working hard was going to be easy or hard, but at least this way you don't have to depend on a man who will just leave you poor and in the cold!"

And while I'm not old enough to have been around for the original feminist arguments on this topic, I have read and watched them and they very much told women working in an office was fulfilling, fun, easy, lucrative, and had almost no stress which is why all those sexist men were telling you stay home.

Or artificial.

Some of those East German women back in the day were pretty scary. I'd bet they had to shave more often than I do.

Of course, other female athletes have been shooting up steroids for decades, same as the men, just not to the degree that the DDR women did.

I'm pretty sure that's what happened to Jennifer Capriati, for example. She was cute as a button in her early teens, but by the time she reached womanhood she had man jaw and a permanent scowl.

I have noticed the Left loves nothing more than to use Group 1 to help subjugate or otherwise hamper Group 2, and then they destroy Group 1. Two words: 'autogynephilia' and 'deadnaming'. I think you're on to something.

In fact, if you have any interest in the conspiracy theory subculture(s), there is a tranny twist on the ol' "sacrificing relatives for entry to The Club" theory. The hypothesis, as I understand it, is that there is a narrow range of acceptable substitutes for straight murder, such as the Kennedy woman's lobotomy. And then, 'transitioning' is one too.

The appeal of this theory is that it would account for both the wild overrepresentation of trans kids among the rich and famous, and also their desperate dogmatic fury at denial of the relative's new identity (not shared by Elon Musk).

210 200 There are demons crawling all over our government. But Clintonworld was really something else. Hillary herself, of course. John Podesta. Sid Blumenthal. Tyler Drumheller. We do mass psy ops in other countries. We know about them, they are documented, there's a long history, this is not just me bullshitting. The problem is "we" also do them here. And when you think about it, why wouldn't we.

This is a fun conversation with lefties btw...

Do you believe the US has used covert operations to subvert foreign cultures? Yes

Do you believe the US used covert operations to subvert the counterculture in the 60s? Yes

Do you believe the US used covert operations to covert our current American society in the 2010 and early 2020s? NO ONLY A RACIST CONSPIRACY THEORIST RUSSIAN BOT COULD BELIEVE THE US GOVERNMENT WOULD DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT! Government workers love us and care for us!

And by point here isn't that you have to believe the third point if you believe the first two, but if you believe the US government routinely subverts cultures for its own benefit you can't then claim it is an insane conspiracy theory to argue it did so under Biden/COVID.

225 Well, in the ongoing shop spiff-up, I got ONE lonely sheet of roofing tin hung on the north wall. But I had a lot of stuff to move just to get there. I took down the housing for the one eight-foot fluorescent fixture I removed. It crashed to the floor with a mighty clatter.

Then I had to replace two fiberglass insulation batts that had fallen out of the north wall when the vapor barrier pulled loose of the staples. That took a while. And when I was maneuvering the ladder to complete that chore, I knocked over a VW engine that was sitting on a very tippy 3-wheeled engine stand. It went down with a crash, too. Luckily, the only damage was bent cooling tin, and spilled oil.

I can see my way clear to hanging 2 more sheets of tin before I have to move more vehicles. And I will probably put up 2 rows of 3 lamps each for my LED lighting.

Jupiter will be popping up just before sunrise in a few days. Still a bit early to see it (at least up at NA latitudes), but by the 12th, will start the "heliacal rising" moment.

It's also the helical rising of Sirius here at 35N. You can spot that just before dawn. Orion's belt stars will sort of point to the location.

The helical rising of Sirius is where Dog Days of Summer comes from. The Greek homos and Romans thought it added its heat to the sun, and that made it hotter.

The ancient Egyptians were very big on the heliacal rising of Sirius. The period between risings is known as the Sothic year (by the Greek homos -- the Egyptians called it something else).

In a coincidence, the Sothic year is almost dead-on 365.25 years, the Julian year. So the Sothic year tracked the seasons as well as the Julian calendar.

The Greek homos were also big on the heliacal rising of the Pleiades. That signalled it was safe to start the sailing season.

I can weld that on the engine stand in a jiffy. That thing is 100% home made; heavy steel angle, and the "casters" on it are big old ball bearings, in fabricated yokes. They roll real well, too. I don't remember where I got it; I did not build it. I did add the VW engine adapter to it, though. That was a swap meet find.
