Rome has been building Line C of their metro for 20 years.

Every single foot of excavation leads to a new archeological discovery which requires stoppage of work.

When I went last year, they were finally working on some city center stuff (mostly right outside Palazzo Vittorio Emanuele II), and it wasn't going to go quickly.

It was only later I realized the poses allowed for a sustained stance while the artist worked. Today's painting is a good example. He is leaning comfortably, relaxed, against a stone, one arm supporting the stance. The other arm is held in place resting easily in his vest (weskit according to Gaffer Gamgee). It would be easy to hold the position.

Again, in my state, law is enforced seriously. Until quite recently, we had a special prison for multiple murderers. It was a notorious house of pain, nestled in a snake-infested subtropical forest. My wife knows a guard from there. He's a no-nonsense old man. I can't imagine anyone wanting to cross the likes of him when he was young.

You know, the reasons I gave in my response.

Partisan sorting has shifted markedly in the last generation. There's some split on state-level statewide races like governor (Larry Hogan going from popular governor to losing by double digits in a Senate race), but when it comes to federal races, things are falling in line with PVI more and more.

And James fake Christian Talarico who loves trans kids and is begging black people to turn out at all is not going to reverse those trends.

Allred was supposed to keep it close against unpopular and bad politician Ted Cruz in 2024.

Allred lost by 9.

Go back to summer polls for comparison. Not polling close to the election. To do that you need to understand voter screening and sampling issues in summer. And for what it is worth, as you descend into state or district races, polling is awful unless you pay for the triangulated and very expensive private polling.

The Massie primary polling and prediction markets performance before the last week should be a warning to those thinking district level polling is anywhere near reliable. And the media spent gobs of money on polling that race.

I've seen depositions of government officials where they've voluntarily listed some heavy duty psych. medications and then had their testimony sealed by the solicitors.

I've seen some lying across desks unable to function, some with breathalyzers on their cars.

One requirement for employment was the ability to drive and hold a valid driver's license from a state. To compensate, they were driven around to meetings, etc. or simply worked from the office or from home (even if in a field and/or managerial position).
