One Third of All Democrats Now Identify As Socialists, While Only 39% of Country Would Consider Voting for a Socialist

Far-left CNN reports that "about a third of Democrats and Democratic-leaning adults identify as democratic socialists," per the latest polling.
This is a big problem for an increasingly radicalized Democrat Party that continues to move further and further to the left and far out of mainstream thinking on issues like abolishing prisons, abolishing the U.S. Senate, sexualizing and queering little kids, defunding the police, open borders, socialized medicine, annihilating Israel, and outright property confiscation.
The polling shows that 59 percent of these socialists are under age 45 and -- surprise, surprise -- predominantly white (57 percent). They are also less likely to have a college degree or make over $100,000 per year.
What should truly trouble the Democrat Party is how motivated these loons are to vote -- 66 percent are "extremely motivated to vote this year," compared to just 57 percent of non-socialist Democrats.
When these extremists win primaries, especially in purple states, that gives Republicans a real chance to prevail.

According to a new Washington-Post Ipsos poll, socialism is unpopular, outside of the communist "Democrat Party" itself.

A Washington Post-Ipsos poll shows 3 in 4 Democrats support a democratic socialist for president, but less than half of Americans agree. The Democratic Socialists of America has grown, yet Americans remain divided on its meaning. Age and education influence support, with younger, educated individuals more open to democratic socialist candidates.

Republicans and right-wing influencers are increasingly invoking "communism," often to criticize democratic socialists and the Democratic Party broadly, according to a Washington Post analysis. Americans split on this comparison in the Post-Ipsos poll, with 30 percent saying democratic socialism is similar to communism while 32 percent say it is different and 36 percent saying they are not sure.
Democratic socialism has clearly caught on with many Democrats, fueling questions about how that energy will affect upcoming elections, including the 2028 presidential race. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-New York), a DSA member, is viewed as a potential presidential candidate.
The Post-Ipsos poll indicates that 55 percent of Americans would not consider voting for a democratic socialist for president, while 39 percent would consider supporting one and 6 percent having no opinion. A majority of self-described independents, 54 percent, would also rule out a democratic socialist candidate.
A much smaller segment of Americans -- 15 percent -- say they like leaders who identify as democratic socialists, compared with 36 percent who dislike them and nearly half saying they neither like nor dislike democratic socialists, the poll shows.
About one-third of Democrats say they like democratic socialist candidates and 10 percent dislike them, but most have neither positive nor negative views of them. Republicans are more negative, with 7 in 10 disliking democratic socialists.

He should be a manager, too! His goal in life!!! He was once manager of a GrubHub call center in Chicago and reached his dream. Therefore, once he lost that job, it was manager or no job. When my MIL died I am pretty sure some felt that those of us who did a bit better in career and life choices should not get our fair share. They vote Dim. This is bs! We got our fair share and they can gnash their teeth and eat worms.

Then a drunk/stoned man wandered in for the mic and sang. My husband finally asked his wth are you doing as I was making a lot of noises.

There was a garden where one eejit planted a pineapple. Then the raciss wars started and a few fenced off a little garden for blacks only.

I gave it a shot at #34...but, I have to admit, trying to understand the "logic" spouting the DSA talking points reminds me of a pet parrot I used to have. I watched a black woman try to change a tire on her Nissan not long ago in the parking lot of the grocery store, before I helped her. This particular educated black woman didn't understand that a jack was needed and was trying to pull off the wheel while the car was sitting on the ground. I watched for a little while until she started pounding on the tire with the tire iron.

Don't get me wrong. I think there are plenty of white women out there who'd do something similar.

I lived in Denmark for a couple of years at the turn of the Millenium. My library card actually functioned as my health care insurance card as well. Maybe that's where this dude got the library/hospital comparison.

And for what it's worth, the Danish socialist health care was actually pretty good. My son was born in Denmark and it went fine. And my daughter received good care for childhood epilepsy. So maybe socialist healthcare worked, at least for Denmark, and at that point in time. Denmark (at that time) was rich, homogeneous, and very culturally conforming. No one would even consider fraud or gaming the system. Don't know how it is now.

From Denmark, we moved to the UK. What a nightmare health care system. NHS the envy of the world? Yeah, right. It's the worst aspects of capitalism and socialism, administered by bureaucrat doctors who make Fauchi look like an unmercenary healer. If ever we, God forbid, go down the socialist healthcare road, it would probably be worse than the UK. My two cents.

Most of our black people in my family's county are kind. Two years ago we stopped at a Walmart en route to the farm to get groceries. We were the only white peoples in that store. To a person they were polite and seemed kind.

It was Valentine's night and a white dude about 30yrs younger than me tried to hit on me while I carried a potted hydrangea for my mother (because grandson insisted we buy her flowers). He was all flirty that they smelled good (they don't smell) and walked next to me until my dude appeared. I ignored him.

Our son laughed and said that I get hit on more than DIL, and my dude said, "Well, she attracts crazy people like a magnet."

Michigan is a state that allows people to vote in the National election who have never lived in Michigan. Michigan tries to imply that these are all prodigy of military personnel who reached the eligible age to vote while living overseas. HOWEVER, think about something. The way the law reads is that if the last residence of a US citizen was in Michigan, than the son(s) or daugher(s) or spouse of that individual can register and vote in Michigan. So, how many Muslims gaining citizenship in the US, and lived in Michigan returned to where ever they came from and then listed a number of over 18 children (or a spouse) who then registered in voted in Michigan? No one knows. How many of these 18 year olds actually exist? No one knows. And you can bet the vetting process isn't exactly stellar.

"property is theft" means the world is a zero sum game, and to get more than what you have means forcing it away from someone else. In the past there was proof that was not true because young families could get a house on a single, non-professional income, and have money for a car and sometimes steaks for dinner if they scrimped.

Nowadays young families both work and get told they have to work harder because they are lazy and entitled and even if they are allowed to work more than 35 hours a week because of mandatory benefits requirements, they still can't afford that even if they work 70 hours a week like they are working for Foxconn. So there is no reason to not try socialism.
