The sunroom is far too warm for her these days so I brought her inside. She's locked in the library right now what the other cats get used to her being inside.

Mostly going well, though Kaylee the Calico Kitty Cat (the cutest little cat of them all) does chase Chloe around. Kaylee will just have to get used to Chloe.

Our lawn here in SW Wyoming is shot. Severe drought right after the lawn service aerated seeded etc.

We don't care because if you read about how ranchers can't grow grass and hay for their livestock it is understandable.

We live on a dead-end street with five houses. Three of the houses have very green lawns because they have been sneaking out in the middle of the night watering their grass. I'm up most of the night sitting on the patio and I hear the sprinklers running. The neighbor next to us is like us, he isn't watering just like us.

It's a sad life if when a drought and water restrictions don't matter because you want to have the greenest lawn in town.

It would go dormant. Won’t hurt a thing if you keep traffic off of it. And you don’t have to mow. When cooler temps return in the fall, and precip, it will bounce.

What you can’t do, is bring it back and forth in and out of dormancy. If you’re gonna water the lawn, water the hell out of it, and… you can’t stop, or it will go into shock and die back, killing the roots. Rookie mistake.

82 What I mean by that, watering frequently is a pain in the ass, especially in July. So people have a tendency to decide to really soak it, thinking they can get away with that for a day or two or three instead. Establishing sod doesn’t work that way. It’s kinda tricky sometimes.

When we bought this house a couple of years ago we found some weird thing left by the previous owners for yardwork. We had no idea what it was for and looked it up.

It is some roller thing with a handle thing and you fill up the large roller thing with water and then "roll" your lawn. Rolling your lawn? Geez get out and do fun stuff. We have tried to give it away but even the lawn people don't want it, lol.

What you really want to do, is aerate, if anything. Find out what the soil pH is. Usually or often they need lime. If the pH is off, you can fertilize all you want, and it won’t do anything, because it is unavailable to the plant, or most of it.

I liked to buy 10/10/10 and drop that stuff right before a rain. My lawn loved me, and I loved it, too. LOL

Those fags went from 50 pound bags to 40, now 35. Won’t be too long they will be in little pouches

My daughter, when first starting out, worked at an older nursing home near Frankston, Texas. Sad place, the kind of place where families drop the old folks off to forget about them. There was one room they always left vacant; the older employees would jusr say there were “problems” with that room. They even kept it locked.

My daughter said that often, especially on weekends, at about 2 am the central nurses station would light up with urgent call requests and buzzers from that room.

My yard, which is just basically wild pasture grass, and prairie wildflowers, is lumpy. It could use a good rolling. But it would take a big highway paving roller to make a dent in it.

When I was a kid, my parents brought home a section of concrete culvert we kids could climb through and roll around the yard. It was lots of fun, and we rolled it back and forth. We wound up with a very flat back yard from it.
