So, was it terrorism or merely tourism that was a bit too enthusiastic. I mean, really now...

A suspected anti-ICE terrorist has been taken into custody after allegedly carrying out an attack on a federal facility in Lower Manhattan, New York City. . . In a press conference following the attack, Assistant Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) James Barnacle claimed that Arrabaca was “looking to injure people and harm people“ and described the incident as an “anti-government attack,” citing materials found on Arrabaca, including a sign that read “ICE Off Our Streets.” “An FPS Protective Security Officer swiftly tackled and detained the agitator, sustaining minor injuries during the incident. Officers quickly recovered the suspect’s bag, which contained what appeared to be two pellet guns and a manifesto,” said the Department of Homeland Security in a public statement following the attack.

Wait, Arrabaca. Is that a Muslim or a coffee bean? To his credit Secretary of State Marco Rubio is leading an effort to identify and combat the threat of "Left Wing Terrorism" which although is a redundancy is indeed and remains a threat to our national security coming as it historically has done from Central and South America.

But as is illustrated by what happened in Lower Manhattan as merely the latest in a very long string of Leftist terrorist acts over not just the past few years but over the course of decades, our nation and society are in mortal danger and perhaps on the verge of being snuffed out for good unless the Left is utterly eradicated from every corner of our society especially from our schools which is where this cancer originated and from where it continues to metastasize.

The latest annual National Education Association convention, as usual, focused on the union's radical political and social agenda...The education of children in the three Rs was nowhere to be found at the convention. No one expressed concern that the latest National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) showed that reading scores are declining nationwide among fourth- and eighth-grade students. No state recorded gains in reading for either grade compared with 2022.

That the DSA and let's face it full on communism has a receptive and growing audience not just among the fringes of society but a growing number of supposedly ordinary Americans who will reflexively vote for the candidate who has the "D" after his/her name regardless of what they espouse or worse, because they have been brainwashed into believing that America, the free market and the principles that built this nation into the greatest in human history are evil failures that are making them and the rest of humanity miserable.

You and I will alternately laugh and vomit at this but the average German laughed at Adolf Hitler prior to 1934.

The Democratic Socialists of America, buoyed by a slew of recent victories, have unveiled a new platform they insist “isn’t extreme” despite calling for fully disbanding the U.S. Senate and the presidency, replacing the Supreme Court, and defunding the U.S. military.
The DSA’s “program” was drafted by elected representatives between April and June of 2026, and is titled “Workers Deserve More.” The project, once completed, was voted on and approved by the DSA’s National Political Committee (NPC).

Oh there are going to be mass graves, gentle reader. The question is whose corpses will be in them, theirs or ours?

The suspect is currently in custody, and an investigation is ongoing. The investigation is being conducted by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force. The building houses agencies including ICE and the FBI. As such, this potentially represents another anti-ICE attack comparable to other incidents, such as the sniper ambush at the Prairieland Detention Center in Texas, a federal immigration facility.

The State Dept report that dropped yesterday claims that Cuba has been much more involved with the far left radicals that are taking over the Democrat Party than previously known. I think it's safe to assume that includes Venezuela and China with things like BLM and antifa which the Democrats for years to pummel us.

Democrats openly welcomed the Squad and other radicals because they thought they could control them. They chose poorly. Now they have lost control of their own party. I don't think Democrats do have control over the DSA wing. They might be able to take down one or candidates but all the energy in the party is with them and it is supported by millions of brainwashed college grads who are true believers.

Despite all the challenges she's granted herself over the years, we ARE proud of her and the woman she's becoming. However, she shows to learn lessons very hard, and usually, including in this case, becomes way too emotional, showing others they can get to her in a big way.

We're working on that, but we ain't fixing that any time soon.

It's just heartbreaking getting that phone call where she's barely able to talk because she so emotionally overwhelmed.........

At my work if I make decisions that cost the company money I'd be called to account for it. A big enough mistake would not only get me fired but potentially prosecuted.

This is nothing new. 20+ years ago the city I lived in at the time had this. Developers had to put aside a certain percent of units for public sector employees with significant discounts. Well, I moved their feeding station away from its usual spot, the place where I saw the ants yesterday, and put down one liquid bait. Within minutes Stirling came along and batted it with a paw halfway across the kitchen. None of teh liquid had apparently spilled, but i carefully wiped down the kitchen floor anyway and moved the bait part way under the refrigerator for now.

I guess I could leave one under the fridge and put another outside near the door.

Yes. Get a bag from the hardware / or big box store. The pool stores sell in 25# or 50# bags which is far too much.

Get a old-timey ketchup / mustard bottle from the dollar store and cut the tip, like on a tube of caulk.

Fill the bottle halfway with DE, the point and squeeze to spray the DE into crevices, cracks, opening, anywhere the insects travel. Also go around the outside of your home and spray into the brick weepholes, anywhere water, gas, and electrical lines penetrate the exterior. Also spray into the plumbing access panels.

The DE lasts for years in place. It works by gunking up their exoskeltons and, here's the best part, they all die!

After the initial treatment, you probably will see a spike in insects up and dying on you out in your public spaces. This means its working!

Last September, coming back from Evansville, I stopped at a Buc-ees in northern Alabama. They have over two hundred gas pumps. The ethanol-free stuff was way at the end, pump 217 or something. I parked, trekked to the store itself and paid, trekked back across the Transvaal to my car, fueled up, and made the long pilgrimage across the asphalt prairie to get my change and then back.

It was worth it; I got 34 mpg on that tank driving home. But man, that was a workout.

They're really not addressing the protestor angle at all. Obstruction of a federal agent attempting to do their job is against the law. Standing in front of a vehicle preventing it from progressing to a point of interest is obstruction. They should be IMMEDIATELY arrested and charged with obstruction, which I believe is a felony (others can comment on that far better). If/when found guilty, they can't vote, own a firearm and will struggle to earn a living, being a convicted felon.

Make them reap what they've sown.
