Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Rant![]() In what looks like the start of a purge of the Tory 'wets', Gavin Barwell has been told he will not get the Tory whip back following a leave of absence from the House of Lords. The move comes just days after Mrs Badenoch warned that former Tory MPs would not be reselected as candidates if they refused to back her stance on issues like leaving the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) and taking a more pragmatic approach to Net Zero. She is playing for keeps, and it is clear that she understands that a party that tries to be all things to all people will fail. Here is a columnist from one of Britain's socialist newspapers, predictably frantic that the twin shibboleths of the left: climate and "human rights," will be put on the back burner in favor of actual English people! Kemi declares war on net zero - and what remains of her party So as of last week, Kemi has put anyone who believes the UK should be meeting its net zero targets by 2050 on the proscribed list for prospective candidates for the Conservative party. Former Tory MPs with dangerously woke views like ... er ... thinking that it might already be too late to combat climate change are no longer welcome. And the same thing applies to any Conservative who still believes the UK should be signed up to the European court of human rights. From now on, anyone who falls into either of these camps is dead to Kemi. More power to her! Any time the rabid, spittle-flecked left is in an uproar, it means that someone is over the target! Nigel Farage's recent legal difficulties notwithstanding, his support will almost certainly go mainly to Restore Britain, but Badenoch is charging ahead with her reinvention of the Conservative Party into a...conservative party!
It's amazing to me that after what we've seen in the US over then last 10 years, with Trump being constantly abused by the legal system, people still reflexively believe that Nigel Farage must be guilty of...something. I get that some don't like him because he isn't strong enough for them on immigration, or so they think, but the fact is that he's the one who has fought against the PTB in British politics for a long, long time. From the link (to Grauniad):
You have to hand it to Kemi Badenoch. She doesn’t take any prisoners. While the rest of us have been trying to survive a heatwave and are wondering if air-con may be needed for future summers, the Tory leader has taken a more hardline approach to climate change. Call it Schrödinger’s climate change. It’s both happening and not happening at the same time. Kemi is just about sane enough not to be an out-and-out denier. She leaves that to Reform. Britain, like the US, is always changing. True, it will never go back to Victorian England, Winston Churchill, or perhaps Henry VIII, but it can still recover to the point that it rejoins the world of modern democracy. I think we're seeing the beginning of a Europe-wide backlash against the importation of the 3rd World, and if properly done, a modern society CAN be restored. The WNBA Players Association (WNBPA) is prohibiting its official business partners from monetizing Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham’s viral 22 second pointing staredown of DeWanna Bonner. The union declared that it will not feature or monetize player conduct stemming from on court confrontations. Cunningham, however, retains her personal NIL rights and can independently monetize the meme. The WNBPA blocked companies operating under its group licensing agreement, such as 2K, Panini, Lids, and BreakingT, from using the viral image on official merchandise. The union cited a blanket policy, stating they generally do not "feature or look to monetize player conduct from a confrontation between our members". The union also noted they deemed the gesture "derogatory". This ban specifically targets the union's licensees. Sophie Cunningham herself is still entirely free to cash in on her Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) by doing independent deals. Posted by: rickb223 at July 21, 2026 11:34 AM (AFtz5) 67

Everyone afraid of being called a racist and being banned or arrested or worse if they dared to defend their way of life simply for being white people living in a white society.
—— When did the Narrative flip, exactly? I’ve tried to ponder on this, because when I was younger it was all about eveyone getting along, and not to pre-judge anyone on their race or ethnicity, but only on their character. At some point, criticism of someone’s character became equated with “racism” too? Sure seems like it. Whether intentionally or not, the entire “Whitey needs to Die” invective seems to be creating a class of people who would seem to be amenable to tribal awareness. How could it not? I suspect it’s a perfect vehicle to then declare “See! We TOLD YOU y’all are a bunch of racists!” And to younger generations a “whites only” society has to be looking pretty good right now. Leftists truly are monsters in my book. They aren’t trying to make things better in any way shape or form, simply stirring up shit, and grifting anyway they can. On a related point to AGW I've seen the non-political people in my town noticing something
The town has water restrictions now every summer yet keeps approving new development. So the people asks doesn't adding people mean we have less water to use per person and if we already have a shortage we obviously shouldn't bring in any more right? The town answer? The state determines if we have a drought or not so it doesn't matter how many new apartments we build. And no, you still can't use water outdoors because of the drought h8ters! Too far out of being current on British politics but I think the Conservatives are done regardless of what Kemi does or doesn't do because the times in UK demand a very different sort of party and the existing Conservative party leadership and apparatus cannot conceive of what they must do.
And that is break the paradigm of a class society where the aristocrats have opened the spigots to the worst sort of humanity in the world, spent UK into oblivion, and cozied up to Islamists for business and funding while sacrificing the working class children to foreign rape gangs. Trump has had all sorts of problems trying to drag the Republican party out of its traditional corporatist, globalist, and pro immigration policy rut. Ideas like carbon credit schemes, amnesties, and corporate subsidies as well as spending a lot of taxpayer money to be 'compassionate' to ne'er do wells, are as much in the GOP DNA as they are in the UK Conservative party. So she can't shoot an ad, say, where she is shilling for subway, if they are a partner, and she goes into an inferior sub shop and points at them and shoots them down, then goes to a Subway and gets her order? How can you ban a viral hand gesture that was organically made by a player? If the official business partners won't do it, hopefully another advertiser gives her a fat contract to do this as a private deal. Posted by: LizLem at July 21, 2026 12:19 PM (Eng1Z) 156
...In past times, these same sort of assholes were propping up the Soviet Union with cheap loans to buy US grain among other things while offering bubba bait to their voters. And sold this nation out jointly with the Clintons to China via MFN.

Caitlin and Sophie should be the Jordan and Rodman of WNBA. And the league shouldn't be hating, they should be supportive and backing them 100%.
In the 90s when the league started, they would have been stars, because it wasn't about race then. I don't understand the anti-white undertone currently in the WNBA right now, but it's ugly and needs to stop. You need little white girls to love the game as much as little black, asian, hispanic girls. Was there anti-Jordan sentiment in the 90s from other players and teams? I hated the Bulls because they denied my beloved Jazz two NBA championships during the storied Malone/Stockton era. But even so, I 100% admired Jordan as a player and knew I was watching one of the greatest. That the current WNBA can't square this circle is troubling.
