If memory serves, the cheating was so obvious and blatant that the Michigan State Police opened a all encompassing investigation that was initiated due to the number of votes in Muskegon exceeding the number of registered voters. They had a solid base and intitial investigation....AND THEN...the FBI took over the investigation claiming jurisdiction, and it disappeared.

Voting files are public records of a sort with some information redacted upon release. But anyone with any serious computing power and access to other commercial databases can fill the redacted information like social security numbers, phone numbers, email pretty easily using standard database matching techniques.

The same techniques I suspect that Fedgov is using--a combination of commercial databases with federal ones to suss out illegally registered voters, dead voters, voter info matches in multiple states, and so on.

Again, very possible that charges and indictments may be pending. Arizona and Georgia are the two states that have actual voting records of the cheating elections due to litigation that are missing from other states.

There is definitely a grand jury in the N. District of Georgia investigating voting fraud in Fulton County among other places and it is possible a similar effort is in place in AZ.

I believe their is a Constitutional argument for interference by the republican guarantee clause.

It makes it in the interest of the union to check and make sure that the powers that be in each state aren't scamming there citizens too much.

Yep, the number was higher, about 278k I think and Trump mentioned that these states resisted giving full information which means probably it is higher than that.

Now you see the trap--a letter from DoJ has already been sent that state election officials and local ones can face charges if they allow illegals to vote knowingly. If these states are informed of these illegal voters and any of them vote--they have been given notice and time to comment upon by election time, they face possible charges themselves.

They don't have the power to strip out House provisions--Majority leader can but not individuals without a floor vote in vote a rama and McConnell's replacement as head of Rules due to Mitch's incapacity is Cruz who supports it.

Murcow will cut her own throat if she tries to stall the NDAA (national defense authorization act) and Collins already voted for it after voting against it earlier. A lot of the pressure then is on Thune and people are beginning to put some distance between him and the rest of the GOP caucus.

Simply put, the SAVE act got a majority, just not one large enough to overcome a filibuster. In reconciliation, Thune's natural deference to the parliamentarian has been cock blocked by Mike Lee already who points out that the parliamentarian is advisory only--the floor majority leader and majority determines whether or not to accept the advice.

As a reminder, Thune is up for reelection in 2028 and he and his colleague's favorability has been dropping.

328 The funny thing is Tillis is actually destroying his ability to sell influence on Capitol Hill after his term. He will still be poisonous and radioactive during the last two years of Trump's term.

I also heard rumors that he has delusions about being able to run for governor as a GOP in 2028 and this type of behavior won't help him in the least for that.

State officials have liability under HAVA and the NVRA motor voter. Dhillon is Asst. AG for Civil Rights and wrote the letter.

To wit,
"According to the letters, election officials "could be criminally prosecuted for aiding and abetting" noncitizen voting. The department said officials who knowingly keep noncitizens on statewide voter registration lists or facilitate noncitizens receiving or casting ballots could face criminal liability.

"An intentional act that is aimed at diluting the votes of citizens could also constitute a violation" of federal law, the letters state."

The release to states of known illegal registrants to these sec. of states means that they have been notified and thus if no action is taken to remove these voters, then they can be assumed to have acted knowingly and willingly to violate provisions of the NVRA and HAVA under the vote dilution theory. Allowing illegals to vote violates federal laws on elections that are designed to prevent voters from having their voting diluted by different intentional acts by the states.

This is apart and different from charges against individuals but rather like in the Civil Rights era, aimed at govt.
