Terrorism Works: DHS Instructs ICE to Stop Conducting Traffic Stops After Illegal Alien Attempted to Ram His Car Into ICE Agents and Was Justifiably Shot and Killed

This is terrorism, and the Democrat Party supports it.

A Biddeford, Maine, resident is reportedly dead after he weaponized his car against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent(s), causing at least one to shoot in self-defense.

Maine House Speaker Ryan Fecteau (D-132nd District) released a statement on Monday, confirming the bare facts of the incident, but he and the press are jumping to the conclusion that the dead activist is the victim. The reality is that when a person attempts to run over an officer with his car, he is using the car as a deadly weapon, meriting a potentially deadly response. Furthermore, if that is what happened, the activist died a felon because it is explicitly against federal law to attempt to injure or interfere with ICE agents.

...

The Post Millennial reported that an eyewitness described seeing a person "trying to hit the ICE officer" with a car, causing the officer to shoot. Since a car being used to run over someone is very certainly a deadly weapon, the facts in the case would seem to be fairly straightforward. There is no information as of yet on any details about the identity of the dead ICE-hater.

...

As of the start of this year, attacks on ICE had gone up by 1,347%, while death threats against ICE had increased by an almost unimaginable 8,000%. Given the endless violence against ICE, it is actually remarkable that more federal officers and activists have not died.

And here's something the mainstream media and main Democrats will not tell you: 18 U.S. Code 111 penalizes anyone who "forcibly assaults, resists, opposes, impedes, intimidates, or interferes with any person designated in section 1114 of this title while engaged in or on account of the performance of official duties." In other words, the Biddeford wacko was not only doing something obviously dangerous when he or she tried to run over the ICE agents, but this action was also very clearly in violation of federal law.

But the terrorism of the left is always indulged, because the terrorists are part of the same leftwing establishment that controls our institutions.

ICE will stop making traffic stops except for the most heinous illegal alien criminals, at least as long as it takes to retrain them.

Retrain them how? Are they supposed to allow themselves to be attacked by leftwing terrorists and illegal alien criminals?

Bill Melugin
@BillMelugin_

BREAKING: Per multiple federal sources to @FoxNews, ICE has been instructed to immediately cease most vehicle stops during immigration enforcement operations nationwide, except for operations targeting the most egregious criminal aliens.

This comes after two people were killed by ICE in shootings in TX and ME in the last week in incidents that began as vehicle stops. DHS alleges one of those incidents was a ramming attempt.

I'm told this will be temporary until ICE officers receive new training on vehicle stops.

The policy change will have significant impacts as many of ICE's arrests begin as vehicle stops when they find and follow a target, as we've witnessed on multiple embeds.

More to come as we get it.

Hell, walk around in any city (or even rural areas) in the county and you'll see thousands of these parasites shambling around. ICE could just send in the Scoops from Soylent Green.

Unless ICE is somehow identifying illegals while they are driving their cars this seems like a solution in search of a problem.

In speaking with numerous ICE sources today, most are expressing frustration that this will cause their arrest numbers to fall off a cliff while in effect. A large majority of their arrests involve vehicle stops. They will now largely have to rely on court arrests, detainer transfers, USCIS interviews, or “consensual encounters”/roving patrols on foot to make arrests in bigger numbers.

ICE prefers to target people in their vehicles instead of their homes because homes require a judicial warrant to enter and vehicles are considered safer (someone can run into a home and grab a weapon etc) and targets can be followed to public areas where warrants aren’t required.

In all the ICE embeds I’ve done over the years, I would say 90% + of the targets were arrested in vehicle stops, though, they were egregious aliens (murderers, rapists etc), and those vehicle stops are still allowed to continue for now. This will have a bigger impact on targets in the U.S. illegally who have committed no other crimes.

Deportation flights are roughly twice the previous record set under Noem (which were themselves records higher than any previous administration).

The immigration side of the political debate has been quiet recently because Mullin reduced the size of visual presence in areas, while increasing the number of raids at the same time.

And, this is all after Goode and Pretti's deaths ended all immigration enforcement in America completely and Trump just gave up on the issue because he was afraid of the political blowback.

1. Demand ICE be abolished (not rebranded)
2. Pledge to pass a national police law for all federal LEOs that requires identity tapes (name, ID), prohibits masks that conceal identity, requires always-on body cameras and outlaws qualified immunity

Best the Dems can do is only slightly increase the budget.

ICE orders officers to stop vehicle pursuits nationwide amid Houston and Maine shootings. That must be some damning body camera footage to have this response.

This isn’t justice for anyone, it’s a distraction. ICE has a bad habit of killing and maiming anyone they come across, and people need to be held accountable

They should only be allowed to carry non lethal weapons, idc about THEIR safety, I care about the random people they murder cause they are afraid of unarmed civilians.

Let’s hope for November big change. If we can't vote our way out of being murdered, the alternatives are worse.

The Mirror (US): ICE bosses blast Trump for pushing DHS to 'breaking point' after fatal shootings. The unrealistic expectations set by the White House are pushing ICE agents to their "breaking point."

52 There's actually a lot of training that goes into traffic stops. It's possible that ICE hasn't received this training. None of the training is rocket science, but any cop doing any kind of traffic stops is definitely trained in it.

Traffic stops are actually quite risky and potentially traumatic for the cop. He has no idea who is in the car. He has no idea what is in the car. Could be a little old lady on her way to church. Or it could be a gangbanger with a glock and 50 pounds of heroin.

And now almost everyone has tinted windows, so it's almost impossible to see in. Hell, I got tinted windows just so nobody can see me driving. But if I ever get pulled over, I will roll down the window so the cop can see me.

Law enforcement and the military do stuff like this frequently. There have been a couple high profile shootings, some questionable decisions may have been involved, so it's good to reiterate policy and procedures to protect the public AND protect the officers from lawsuits and possible prosecution. For example, in the Maine case, it's reported:

When ICE tried to stop a vehicle driven by someone coming from that address, the “vehicle attempted to flee the scene and, fearing for public safety, an officer discharged his weapon,” the department said.

That's not self defense, and shooting fleeing felons is a tricky legal call. My training would be telling ICE officers not to make statements on any shooting until they've consulted an attorney.

121 Democrats should never win another office. Ever.

EXCLUSIVE: Democrat Texas candidate Bobby Pulido said molesting kids is “not necessarily rape,” after he brought a sex offender to a middle school, according to social media posts uncovered by the Daily Caller.

Pulido brought his longtime friend, convicted child sex offender Frankie Caballero, to perform at a benefit concert at a Texas middle school in 2016, according to an Axios report.

Unearthed posts on Twitter, now known as X, show Pulido explaining why he believed it was appropriate to bring Caballero to the benefit concert.

The posts were published in a series of tweets in August 2018, weeks after the event.

In one post, Pulido downplayed child molestation, writing, “Child molestation is abhorrent. But is not necessarily rape or murder, what you said. My point, and Geraldo’s point, is they have been unfairly demonized. It’s like if I said that whites shouldn’t be able to buy guns because most mass shooters are white.”

Posted by: Blonde Morticia at July 14, 2026 04:42 PM

The CBO predicted that cash for clunkers would alter the used car market out for 15 years and that was in 2008. Others think it has disrupted the used car market permanently by taking a huge chunk of used car inventory and literally destroying it. It's probably somewhere in the middle and we should see some sanity returning to the used car market in about 2030 or so.

========
People driving cars can and do travel a fair distance on rims. You see it quite frequently in real life car chases when tire spike strips are used to blow out tires. Quite enough to run over a law enforcement agent at high enough speed to kill or seriously injure them.

And shooting through the front of a tire is trying to shoot through the toughest part, risks richochet by firing at a low angle to who knows where, and is not guaranteed to stop a vehicle.

A lot of crap about firearms comes from Hollywood's distortions or outright make believe falseness. That in and of itself is not so bad, but idiots trying to make policy on that basis makes everything worse.

157 Except for the stolen vehicle pursuits. As soon as they lose the police they dump out of the vehicle.

A few years ago Denver PD tagged a stolen vehicle, then dropped off. Crim drove around for about fifteen minutes then entered into a warehouse district.

Creeped around for a few minutes which gave SWAT teams ample time to circle in. The crim then finished the drive into one of the bays in the warehouse.

Within seconds SWAT converged and busted a major chop shop.

159 I get a safety stand down. Too many repeats of a bad thing. I am a retired cop and a young patrolman. I was assigned to a foot patrol unit, and because bad people had cars and I didn't, I was given specific block of instruction on how to conduct traffic stops on foot. Short version: don't stand in front of or behind a car, avoid the turning radius of the wheels, and don't get yourself in a position to grapple with someone in the car. Get the keys if you can. If they drive away, don't get hurt. Instruction was first in a classroom, then out in the parking lot, where they did backing turns to show us how exposed we were and had us try/fail to stop a driver from starting a car from outside the driver's door. In my old department, shootings into vehicles were extremely rare, even though car contacts on foot happen all the time.

Elliot Page is an incredible actor. His portrayal of a pregnant girl in Juno was on point. It's robbery that he didn't get an award for such a huge stretch.

Ellen Page is a terrible actress. Her character 'Elliot' should really have Short Man Syndrome, with a chip on his shoulder the size of an aircraft carrier and anger management problems out the wazoo, from all the bullying he would've endured.

Elliot (née Ellen) Page is a damaged woman indulging a fetish, not even attempting a realistic portrayal of a male character. She's actually a decent actress, good enough to play pregnant without ever having been before; but acting isn't the point of what she's doing here, which is why she talks like a crazy woman instead of like a man.

I think the last one is true.

I'm going to call BS on the 500k miles. Probably one of the most consistently bullet proof engines is the AMC I6, later put in the Jeep XJs as the 4.0L It gets crappy gas mileage because they overbuilt the engine with 7 main bearings and other design gimmicks.

Something like a spring loaded 4-armed clamp that has chunks of high density plastic attached to it to act like chocks that they could easy slide over the tire, hit a button and it would clamp on until its released.

A tire is a very small target and easy to miss, especially if the car is moving. A ricochet puts bystanders at risk. Even if you hit the tire, the vehicle is now less stable which can also put bystanders at risk. Yes, the driver is the responsible party, of course, but in terms of harm reduction to uninvolved parties this is a really bad idea, just as much as it's likely to be ineffective.

Guy, I don't know where you are at, but try some of car listing services, ask the scabby corner dealerships if they do searches, and also look at some of the auction houses.

Making policy by edge cases is part of the Hollyweird problem on firearm policy (and other policies like mental health). Just because an edge case example does show something is technically possible not mean that it is very likely nor can be accomplished as Hollyweird shows it.

If I fire a 50 BMG at an auto tire, it is likely to shred it--but managing those would be a stone cold bitch for any ICE officer under field conditions. Same with penetrating an auto engine block.

The problem with most people today is they cannot apply probability theory worth a damn--overweighting rare examples and undervaluing more common risks.

And even there, it is a problem for people to be able to properly weight responses due to sunk costs, socially acceptable answers, and match the magnitude of a loss versus the probability of likelihood and the costs to mitigate it.

We live in a probabilistic world and yet people act as though life is an on/off switch.

221 Sacramento, California, will now be inspecting residents' trash to make sure they are in compliance with state law.

The City of Sacramento will send crews across the city to track and check that residents are sorting their trash properly.

It's just a matter of time until they install Flock cameras inside your trash can.

Just the 10 thousandth reminder that you can NOT trust a Democrat to run anything, from a library to the trash department. The entirety of their being screams out for the desire to control and dominate others.

223 EXCLUSIVE: Democrat Texas candidate Bobby Pulido said molesting kids is “not necessarily rape,” after he brought a sex offender to a middle school, according to social media posts uncovered by the Daily Caller.

I'm led to understand that plying a 13-year-old with wine an quaaludes and then buggering her is not "rape-rape" to Hollywood types either.

224 Something like a spring loaded 4-armed clamp that has chunks of high density plastic attached to it to act like chocks that they could easy slide over the tire, hit a button and it would clamp on until its released.

That's what I was thinking as well. Immobilize the vehicle at the stop. Work on drills where as the lead cop approaches, another moves in and locks a rear wheel.

227 This sounds a bit like the "why didn't the cop just shoot the man with a knife in the leg" routine. There's less threat to the officer himself, but gun accuracy isn't like it's portrayed in Hollyweird movies, especially when firing on moving objects.

And it is surprising how fast and far you can drive on a flat tire, especially if you don't give a damn about the tire or vehicle itself.

Very good post, Whig, but in fairness to polynikes, he was talking about a rare movie (Quigley Down Under) that probably doesn't deserve our ire. This is not just because it stars Tom Sellak, but the movie actually understands firearms and goes to go great lengths to show that Quigley is a very rare marksman. It isn't the same as Hollyweird cop flicks made by and starring gun-grabbers where guns are used with cavalier disregard for surroundings and abnormal results are achieved as a matter of course.

230 There is some help for that coming. A new company that owns the rights to Ransom E. Olds' name announced a $21,500 pickup with crank windows, cloth upholstery, everything people say they want in a cheap truck. And gas engines, unlike the other company making cheap pickups. Extended cab is $25,000, and body-on-frame SUV is $28,000. All on the same chassis.
