Good morning kids. Well, surprise surprise, Platner is out!They must've thrown a nice chunk of change to exit stage left. While he is truly one of the most vile pieces of human garbage in recent memory ever running for office, I suppose on a positive note it's a sign that the Democrat media/propaganda complex isn't nearly as powerful as it seems in protecting one of their own. Up and down the line every major and minor lefty in and out of government was praising this sick bastard to high Heaven, and you'd think they'd've kept their mouths shut if either they had known the extent of his record or otherwise felt they couldn't keep a tight enough lid on it.

Democrat Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner suspended his campaign Wednesday after a previous girlfriend accused him of sexual assault.
Platner announced his exit two days after 41-year-old Maine resident Jenny Racicot accused him of forcibly having sex with her in 2021. The Maine Democrat was embroiled in several controversies, including his Nazi tattoo, inappropriate social media posts and his mockery of a veteran.
“We are suspending our campaign operations,” Platner said in a video statement. “This is incredibly difficult because I know that some will think it’s an admission of guilt and it most certainly is not. We’re not doing it because of the allegations, we’re doing it because of the structures that are being taken away from us by those in power. And I also feel an immense amount of responsibility to everyone who has worked so hard to get us where we are. We went toe to toe with one of the most entrenched political systems in the history of the world and we won.”

On a down note, I will assume his departure regardless of who his replacement will be, if even he can be replaced on the ballot per Maine election laws, means that the hideous harridan backstabbing RINO Susan Collins will most likely win her bid for reelection and we'll be saddled with this RINO shitwhore for another six years of backstabbing Maine and America.

John Solomon has a story up this morning that an additional 7 counties in Illinois will have a referendum on the ballot this fall to leave the state and form a new one on top of 33 counties that have already voted to do so. I agree that the divide is less about state vs state but more like county vs county and the gap is widening.

The current (D) platform is pretty much everything Platner stood for. It's why he had some notable backers at first. The only thing that soured the rank and file over there was that he was so vocal about it. Had he chilled out a bit I think he would have been fine.

As for the GOP... if its leadership had balls they'd be asking, publicly, about McConnell's situation. They'd be hammering the SAFE act holdouts. They'd be bitching about the judicial insurrection and making threats.

Don't get me wrong. I take a backseat to nobody in my disdain for the GOP but I am seeing some improvement. Paxton for Cornyn seems like a big upgrade and getting rid of Massie is big. Not fast enough but better.

Something I wonder about is how much of the current turbulence we are seeing is a result of Trump's war on the deep state that is largely invisible to us. Three with allergies - all different. One who is pregnant (and thus refusing some food b/c baby doesn't want it). And one with allergies who is also type 1 diabetic. And my daughter who wants veg to the max, and 2 female eaters who are the opposite, at least if they are intended as solo items.

Thankfully, the adults with allergies can handle the food being around and not touching it, so it's component dinner with tacos (ground beef and 2 beans) with tons of veg fixings and dairy fixings (that I will avoid).

The diabetic with egg, soy, and peanut allergies stumped me for dessert, but gonna be a 2 ingredient cake left uniced (diet cherry soda into dark chocolate cake mix - never done it with diet, but 1st time for everything)...gonna serve it with serve yourself homemade cherry pie filling, whipped cream, and coconut whipped cream - a make yourself dessert, and the diabetic can skip the pie filling...hope it works...

I think this operation is a bit different. I think the DNC realized they can't just do it with one person like an Obama (possibly as long as Trump is around to deflate them) so they are going to torture America with this idea that there is some huge young energetic unstoppable communist "movement" sweeping the Democrat Party and the nation. The truth is they are the same old commies, in and out of the establishment.

Two of the targets taken out in bombings last night were the only two rail lines that led from Iran to Turkmenistan and from there China. That will go a long way towards preventing China from helping Iran rearm.

I agree that Trump is finally taking a new approach to breaking Iran and it seems a lot of people are uncomfortable with it though at the same time they offer no realistic alternative. The old ways have never given satisfactory outcomes. We don't know yet if this will work but it beats an invasion or just flattening and then having to deal with the outcome.

Did he? I know it was not a military goal, as laid out initially. I know he repeatedly said he would love it if the Iranian people killed off the mullahs. I heard him wish the regime would be gone. I never heard him instruct our military to do it, but I might have missed it. After awhile, I tuned him out.

Trump has to win the House elections if he can. I thought he was cruising to that goal until he went into Iran, so (given the political risk) he obviously thought it was more important than we knew. Now he's trying to skate a very thin line, downplaying Iran even while issuing those horrible-sounding threats he likes to bellow.

I'll believe they're serious when I see the biggest abusers in the dock: Microsoft, Google and Facebook.
Every damned one of them have imported thousands of H(half- assed coders)1-Bs. Even when any given guy is only here for a year, it's a net negative, because they go back home where they are hired in overseas sites for the companies. That revolving door is a continuous tech transfer to India (mostly).
There will still be those overseas sites even if we kill the entire H1B program, but they would be much smaller. If the H1B program had never existed, I don't think that any of those sites outside the US would have been established, but the genie is out of the bottle and now we're in damage control mode.
