The Morning Report — 7/ 1 /26

SpawnPawns.jpg

Good morning kids. Of course the top story is the utterly devastating if not sadly unsurprising SCOTUS decision upholding the complete bastardization of the 14th Amendment. If I want to be charitable I'd say that Roberts' and Barrett's lives were directly threatened by the usual Democrat/Leftist terrorists. Either that or they were paid off from the same funders of the aforementioned terrorists. But screw that as their duty is to uphold and defend the Constitution, same as it always has been throughout their careers as jurists. It may just be that they made a purely political decision to not rock the boat and let the cancerous rot that has been destroying this nation and its institutions for much of its history, including the very institution that they are a part of. When President Trump first announced that he was issuing an executive order banning birthright citizenship I had a feeling of dread that it would not survive the ultimate challenge at SCOTUS, and foolishly as time went on, I still held out hope that sanity would prevail. So much for that delusion, The great Clarence Thomas' brilliant dissent notwithstanding.

“The Court today takes the extraordinary step of holding facially unconstitutional the President’s Order excluding from citizenship the children of foreign temporary visitors and illegal aliens,” Thomas writes:
In doing so, the Court adds to the sad history of the Fourteenth Amendment, which was designed and understood to secure equal rights for the freed blacks but has instead been repurposed for political projects that the Reconstruction Congress did not support. Because many potential applications of the President’s Order are consistent with the original public meaning of the Citizenship Clause, I respectfully dissent. [Emphasis added]

Of course, one does not have to be one of if not America's greatest jurists and legal minds ever to serve in any court to know how completely insane this decision was. All one has to do is know the most rudimentary facts about how and why the 14th Amendment was enacted as well as to be able, and willing, to read and understand plain English What happened yesterday was yet another jackboot to the head of America as founded, as it lays prostrate on the ground after decades of curb-stomping by the Democrats and those whose complicity and inaction allow them to get away with it.

And the President nailed it with this observation:

“I would like to congratulate President Xi, and the Great Country of China, on their massive Birthright Citizenship WIN!” Trump declared via his Truth Social platform.

The court’s decision protects, for now, the practice of “birth tourism,” which is used by many wealthy Chinese nationals who travel to the United States to give birth to their children.

And if I still want to engage in delusion, there are a few Pollyannas out there as well:

Vice President JD Vance argued Tuesday that there is a “big silver lining” in the divided Supreme Court ruling striking down President Trump’s executive order outlawing birthright citizenship for children of illegal immigrants and tourists.
“I know a lot of conservatives, Laura, certainly the people that I’m talking to, that you’re talking to, are extremely disappointed in this, but I do actually think there’s a really big silver lining here, and that’s the simple fact that a lot of legal experts expected this case to go the wrong direction by seven to two, or even eight to one,” Vance said in an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham.
“The fact that this case was a 5-to-4 decision effectively means that the concept of birthright citizenship, which is an absurdity to the 14th Amendment, that concept is hanging by a thread,” the vice president argued during his appearance on “The Ingraham Angle.”
. . . “What I take from [the ruling] is, yes, we’ve got to fix the immigration system even more, we have to be even more aware of who’s coming into our country to make sure that they’re not benefiting from this atrocious Supreme Court ruling,” Vance said, adding, “but it also means that we have to keep fighting … because we actually have an opportunity to reverse this decision.”
The vice president further argued that the high court’s “major, major mistake” might invite pregnant foreign nationals “to come here quite literally on a vacation, give birth, and then all of a sudden the child and their family have the full benefits of American citizenship.”
“It’s just a preposterous ruling, and the absurdity of that outcome suggests why the Supreme Court should have went the other way.”

Yeah, we have an opportunity to reverse this? I'm sure future POTUS Titty Caca Ocasio Cortez will get right on that by packing the court with 19 or more Maoists! 250 years was a good run, I guess. If we make it to 500 or even 1,000 we'll probably be where England is, the irony of course is that that is the nation we rebelled against in the first place.

So, at what point do we take arms against a sea of troubles, and by opposing end them?
Or do we doom ourselvelves forever to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune unto death?

Have a good day,

36 I don't like that so many SCOTUS decisions have the effect of creating new law. Above all, the Supreme Court is an appeals court. SCOTUS rulings should be either 'granted' or 'denied', and that's it.

Forget respectfully…. There can be ZERO respect for a decision that so mangled constitutional concepts that as far as I can tell the majority views US citizens as old-fashioned feudal era subjects (of the king, ironically) rather than human beings with rights granted by God almighty. They really backed themselves into a corner… I wonder if they even realize how abhorrent their “reasoning” is….. no, they knew the result they wanted and generated a claptrap of tangled logic to get there; certainly the constitution didn’t factor into their decision

39 “American economic policy on the right is now much more Alexander Hamilton than it is Milton Friedman,” Vance said, arguing that President Trump’s political movement has already transformed the GOP’s approach to trade, tariffs, manufacturing, and industrial policy.

Rather than viewing economic growth as an end in itself, Vance argued that government should prioritize policies that strengthen families, communities, and workers.

“The economy is a tool to service the dignity of the human person,” he told Knowles.

But make no mistake:
This is an issue Republicans can fix:

And you can immediately tell who is not serious about fixing it by those who propose a Constitutional Amendment--that has to pass super-majorities of Congress, the President and 3/4 of the states.

55 Aliens are most definitely not Immigrants. It is well to carefully think about the words used to describe.

When leftists are allowed to define the very terms or words used in debate they will tend to have an advantage in manipulating opinions or persuasion.

That is rather the point, appeals to emotion. Euphemisms. “Undocumented Immigrants” makes it sound more benign, no? Like he just misplaced his wallet somewhere.

There is a class of Legal Aliens, too. “Alien” is not a pejorative, it is a technical or legal term of art in the USC Title 18, all that stuff.

You're essentially saying it's ok for Congress to decide the 14th is wrong. That would take a constitutional amendment and that ain't happening in any of our lifetimes.

In going against the grain of my species (heresy!), I will say what I've believed for a long time. Women are simply not up to the task of using logic, not emotion, when it comes to political or constitutional matters. Yes, plenty of men are as guilty, but I do not trust women as a whole and do not vote for women because of it. The only exception I can think of at the moment is Sarah Huckabee Sanders. The rest? Totally unreliable. They think and act like women. And women fall short in my book when their feelz overtake common sense and logic. The exact opposite of what this country needs. I was always skeptical of ACB for that reason. And she's proven my theory too many times.

85 To throw the citizens a bone SCOTUS granted cert in two rifle ban cases on their last day. They will consolidate Viramontes v. Cook County, a Seventh Circuit (Illinois) case and Grant v. Higgins from the Second Circuit (Connecticut) and review the case next term.

I believe given the 5-4 rulings on Election Day and Birthright citizenship, and the legal arguments made, anyone who treasures their Second Amendment rights should be concerned. I expect more constitutional subversion from ACB and Roberts. I also believe that any favorable ruling would come with enough caveats it will give the defendant states another avenue to undermine our Second Amendment rights.

I enjoy Schlicter’s writing, his ideas usually echo my own, and the only fault I find is that he tends to be far too much of an apologist at times. For instance his piece yesterday, which you referenced, said (paraphrased) “this was great news! Look how close we came! All we need is a couple new justices and a better Congress, and I know this will be overturned in 20 or 30 years!”

Kurt, we don’t have 20 or 30 years left to fix this. By then, all the children of the ones being born today will be having children of their own, and the games will be over.

118 The American system is a complex web of graft and blackmail - so I have no doubt that SC justices are being bribed and threatened. Nearly everyone in the ruling class is, every day.

That's just how the machine runs. But Barrett and Roberts did this for the same reason everyone in the ruling class does what they do - class loyalty.

This isn't a decision that required any cajoling. Anchor babies are a key feature of the ruling class war against the subject classes. It would be treason to undermine that. No top man in good standing will go against it.

Same with vote fraud. That's why I never considered the possibility of Congress just shrugging their shoulders and saying "well, I guess the hated subjects win this critical battle. Let's just surrender. We're passing SAVE. We shall put down our tabulators and rig elections no more."

That's not how any of this works.

I read his book, too. I was very impressed with his success from his very humble upbringing. He grew up in a town just a few miles from where I'm from. I could relate to much of what he wrote about: his blue collar upbringing, the hopelessness that befell so many of those he knew, and it's what led him, against all odds, to succeed as he did in a most impressive way.

Only the next couple of years will tell how his political path will unfold, but I do have a few cautions that are starting to bother me. The biggest being Schmucker Carlson. But we'll see...

I believe everyone knows that Vance is just doing what he’s told to do, and has little choice in the matter. But it’s easier to openly criticize him than to criticize the one giving the orders.

Be that as it may, it’s quite obvious that the MOU
talks Vance was heading have already collapsed completely, and no more are scheduled. Trump wants a nice quiet July 4th celebration with no distractions; but remember how Muslims love to launch big attacks on their enemies holidays? (Like October 7)

Right now the US is tossing Iran a nice, slow pitch right across the middle of the plate. They see it, even if we don’t.

155 Amy was never, ever going to vote for anything that would hurt (even slightly, emotionally) her children.

that's just baked in the cake.

to some degree, the Roe decision led us to this. yesterday I was contemplating the large number of my peers (and young boomers) who chose foreign adoption. I was almost one of them, but I'm too stubborn to give up even after years of IF treatment.

and many would have adopted domestically but it was basically impossible. of say 20 families I know, ONE adopted domestically and it took them years. they tried to adopt their daughter's sibling later, and it never went through

partly this is due to the Roe decision. families with primary or secondary IF, or those who "didn't want to burden the planet with more normal babies" or something - they basically had to adopt internationally.

China was maybe the best option, but very hard and very pricy. Anyway. ACB went with Haiti, likely via the Church. The Roberts' did a whole thing for Mrs Roberts to sneak some Irish children out via South American (shady) because she was Irish American.

For those of us paying out the nose for IF treatments, and for those who payed out the nose for adoptions, tough.

How does that work with Chinese birth tourism?

So the anchor baby returns to China and after 18 years states like Colorado will let the new voter participate in elections.

In which district? And where do the jury duty summons originate and get sent?

I submit that Chinese birth tourists have superior rights to Heritage US citizens. First, they don't have to pay US income taxes, they get to enjoy full voting rights with absolutely none of the duties, and at any time make claims to whatever residual benefits that will remain once the world has plundered us into penury.

If you're a U.S. citizen and you're living abroad, you have to file taxes on your income. Doesn't matter where it's from. And if you want exclusions or credits, you still have to file. (This is the #1 reason why departing Americans renounce their citizenship.)

The IRS should be mining foreign countries looking for "anchor babies" and other citizens who aren't filing. Instead of obsessing about whether your grandma reported her Etsy knitting earnings, they should be focused on this.

And then you can give them a choice: renounce your citizenship or pay back taxes on everything you owed, including penalties.

260 Congress is lazy and corrupt. In particular, the senate. They have been aloof in their duties, snobbish in their attitudes and indolent in their work ethic. That apathy and sloth has cost us dearly, as senators have valued their own arrogant, cavalier pronouncements over the work they should be doing for the people. All of our problems and failures are largely based on their inability to act and function on behalf of the republic instead of themselves.

Above, "School choice is crucial to the American Dream—we need a new birth of freedom."
What, to the Black Student, is the Fourth of July?

Here in Pennsylvania we have something known as PSEA-PACE. It supports friends of education in state and local elections.

It appears that during recent campaign finance cycles, direct political donations from PSEA-PACE to local state representatives included $74,000 in active campaign receipts to secure a reliable, pro-public union vote in the core of one township. In the same township, but another district thereof, the state representative's campaign committee cleared over $1.4 million in total donation with PSEA & aligned statewide public labor coalitions acting as dominant institutional anchors.

My state representative, sitting at the center of two school district boundary lines, is a primary recipient of PSEA endorsement & direct PAC capital, keeping his legislative record tightly aligned with the union's opposition to corporate tax credits or school voucher programs.

Note: Every one of the three noted above are "Democrats."

306 Mostly importantly, Black reps. take just like the White reps & White kids are screwed just like the Black kids in many school districts where the taxes are highest in the state.

Check your own state. If reliably Blue, and you're not wealthy or "friends" of teachers' union affiliated, your area is likely screwed, too, when it comes to school choice and/or the opportunity to have kids receive equal opportunity in education.

Speaking of unions -

The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) national and local staff are unionized with the Washington-Baltimore NewsGuild. They've been since 2017!

The Metro DC DSA covers Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, and several Maryland counties, with over 3,400 local members. The primary Maryland branches actively fight for rent control, tenant organizing, tax justice, progressive governance, yada yada.

It works. The Communications Workers of America (CWA) is a major U.S. labor union that has increasingly aligned itself with progressive politics, democratic socialism, and anti-corporate campaigns. Its members actively participate in left-leaning movements and socialist coalitions.
