Until right leaning judges start engaging in judicial activism none of this crap will stop.
But get one judge to decide the income tax is unconstitutional and we'd see serious and major judicial reform. Yes I know it was passed by an amendment but like the other amendments it would be trivial to argue the implementation the government has (and any potential implementation in the future) are still unconstitutional... There's some joy -
New York Magazine It was widely, almost universally, expected that Donald Trump’s 2025 executive order purporting to abolish “birthright citizenship” would not survive a U.S. Supreme Court review of its constitutionality. Not so expected was that four Supreme Court justices would claim Trump’s action *did* comply with the 14th Amendment despite its clear language that “all persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to its jurisdiction, are citizens of the United States.” But this defeat for Trump isn’t as definitive as the one we expected, writes Ed Kilgore. “As a matter of constitutional law, Trump v. Barbara is a 5-4 decision that hardly closes off the question for all time. Rather than shutting down Trump’s efforts to radically redefine and restrict the meaning of citizenship, the narrow conservative majority at the Supreme Court will likely embolden him and like-minded nativists to keep up the fight.” Posted by: L - No nic, another fine day at June 30, 2026 07:10 PM (NFX2v) 121

It honors the award-winning former White House culinary team member and beloved personal chef to the Obama family who tragically passed away in 2023. “Expert” legal opinion from the rarefied air of academe is in fact responsible in part as to why the U.S.A. is so utterly FUBAR. I’m not “anti intellectual”; precisely the opposite, in fact. There is no simple solution, blah blah blah.” The truth is, sometimes things are very simple. It’s just not easy and this especially applies to Politics. When your local critter is enthusing about how they are fine-tuning the Weather a hundred years from now, you can be sure they aren’t doing fuck-all about roads, crime, sewage, any of the nuts and bolts stuff about good government. Those are indeed difficult tasks, but the one thing they are not is “complicated”. Consider though, since they cannot handle simple tasks, what are the odds they are going to shine on the truly complex stuff? Yeah. No chance. XX: I like astrology and tarot Well, you aren't marrying a woman into tarot. But yes male and female hobbies are usually different...you just have to try to find something that women like that you are ok with... If I was a younger man I think I would have tried hiking orgs - because you know the women you are hiking with like nature, stay in shape, and can at least disconnect from social media for a while... Step 1: Put on pants Posted by: 18-1 at June 30, 2026 07:20 PM (sKqQm) What if I already have pants on? Do I put on additional pair? Do they go on over the current pants or on another part of my body? I haven't tested it but I think I have a finite number of pants max capacity, somewhere in the ballpark of two dozen pants and things start going nonlinear. Tafari’s Kitchen: Located inside the Forum building just off the John Lewis Plaza, the Center’s onsite restaurant offers a full menu of casual food inspired by the Obamas’ personal stories, culture, and commitment to healthy eating. The restaurant features a welcoming dining space with wide glass doors for al fresco dining on warmer days. It honors the award-winning former White House culinary team member and beloved personal chef to the Obama family who tragically passed away in 2023. Tafari Campbell was known as a warm, fun-loving, and humble soul who used his immense gifts and passion for food to spread joy and bring people together, and a painting of him by Kate Capshaw will hang in the restaurant. you can be sure they aren’t doing fuck-all about roads, crime, sewage, any of the nuts and bolts stuff about good government
With a fraction of current budgets state and local governments used to be able to provide police, fire, and roads with no issues. Something younger people should be reminded of. Nina.... Totenberg. A name that should go down in infamy
------ I wonder from whom Nina got her "scoop"? My guess -- and that's all that it is -- is that every SCOTUS reporter has that story (and one like it about Thomas) already written and in a folder on their computer. She had it open to add stuff about todays rulings, hit the wrong button and published it by mistake. Of course, nothing like that could ever happen around here. Ace runs a tighter ship than NPR does. Find a conservative woman (easy to find as no tattoos on arms or blue hair and nostril ring), woo her with your kindness, humor and good looks. Marry. And join the political plot. We did our duty and had two sons who vote conservative and married and are Christian. I am 60 years old with bad health and no money, its just not even on the table. But I encourage everyone else to do so, and have many babies. Also precisely why they teach kids they might want to be trans and take those kids away the instant an impressionable child nods. One of the more comical parts of this is the media spent roughly 1970-2000 telling people you didn't have to confirm to a gender stereotype...men can knit and women can do carpentry which is all true. But now if you have a interest in anything that isn't traditional masculine you obviously need to cut your balls off because you are really a woman Posted by: 18-1 at June 30, 2026 07:32 PM (sKqQm) 209

If it's any help to anyone, I met my future husband in a hospital elevator. Introduced to me by my classmate who was dating him.
A month later he decided he was not really dating her but I made him straighten that out. She became a lesbian later, which might explain some of the confusion. I know this is not a lot of help, but you could start riding a lot of elevators. Heaven knows I would not want to be single now with all the angst and wahoo or try dating sites. I'm sure only serial killers would want to date me based on what I'd say. Posted by: ChristyBlinkyTheGreat at June 30, 2026 07:35 PM (hzuYO) 213
