The recent rumor that a penguin with a laser on its head was used to create a 350 foot cut in the DC reflecting pool liner is not beyond the realm of possibilities. It is an established fact that Nazi scientists beneath the Antarctic have developed their fowl-based weaponry far beyond that seen during WWii. Big Penguin's continued use of this technology and partnership with the Soros to disrupt the 250th anniversary of our great country will no doubt manifest itself over the next few days. LOL. Reminded me of a story Dad told about this one particularly ne'er do well guy in his small home town, back in the early 1940s: Grandma would set pies on the window sill to cool, and occasionally one would "disappear." Usually apple. She discovered that it was always the same guy, and he had no family so it wasn't as if he was trying to provide for children. She made a special 'apple' pie out of potato slices, along with the usual good-smelling spices, baked it, then set it on the sill and left the house for a while. Sure enough, it got stolen. One of my favorite trips was visiting Lake Lucerne and Mt. Pilatus. They have a tour called the Golden Circle that starts with a boat ride around Lake Lucerne which is beautiful. Busier than that little valley but right at the base of the Alps and lovely. The ride ends at the base of Mt Pilatus where you take a cog railway to the top of Mt Pilatus. The railway is very steep but there are homes like the one in the photo above and cows grazing on the side of the mountain and crazy Swiss hiking up the mountain. Big viewing area at the top of the Alps and the lake and a couple restaurants and a hotel. You hop on a gondola and ride back to Lucerne for big ending. Switzerland has a robust form of Democracy, some say it was a model for the founders. Lots of referendums. Swiss citizens vote on everything.
Democrats here don’t like democracy. For example one final hurdle for would be Swiss citizenship, your neighbors get to vote on whether you should become a Swiss citizen. Can you imagine the howls of outrage from the leftist twats? Now that’s Democratic. “Nah, brah. That guy is a dickhead” Posted by: Common Tater at June 30, 2026 08:34 PM (EmvwI) 92

34 The recent rumor that a penguin with a laser on its head was used to create a 350 foot cut in the DC reflecting pool liner is not beyond the realm of possibilities. In other words, Swiss citizens have the right of self determination. A sovereign entity. When the asshats here say “that’s not who we are!”
What they are REALLY saying, we don’t have the right to say what we will become. Or put another way, in modern America, no particular group can actually define itself. That’s how they destroyed the Boy Scouts, for just one of many examples. A fine organization, it was. Or say, an after school Bible study group. You just have to allow an atheist satan worshipping goat fucker be President, or it’s “discrimination”. In much the same way, the USA is not allowed to define itself any longer. This is not by accident. “Sovereign” nations have to go, and be subsumed by the globalist borg. We’re watching this play out in real time. 100 years worth now, I suppose. As the precision of measurement standards improve, the bureaucrats like to lower the threshold of acceptable limits. Parts per million can now be measured in parts per billion.
Frightening the womenfolk & horses, and turning errybody into neurotics. Setting allowable limits arbitrarily is a time proven method of destroying business and industry, a de facto prohibition or outlawing of any given particular activity. It’s not “illegal” per se, it’s simply that nobody can pencil it out and afford to comply. Brando approached Newman and began a conversation that eventually became very heated, resulting in Brando shouting and Newman walking away. Later that evening Brando stood on a table and challenged Newman to an egg eating contest, like the one Newman was depicted doing in Cool Hand Luke, however Newman ignored the challenge. Brando, undeterred, had somebody from his entourage bring him dozens of hard boiled eggs, and started the competition without Newman. While eating, he would loudly keep count as he consumed the eggs saying things like "21 Newman! 21 eggs already! I'm better than you Newman!", while mocking and insulting Newman the whole time, and calling him a "phony". Publius - there’s a great book I’m reading, called “This New Ocean”, a history of Project Mercury. It’s a hefty tome of 708 pages, written shortly after completion in the 1960s.
It delved into all aspects of the initial impetus, during the 1950s and prior, with the NACA and also delves into some of the aspects of orbital mechanics. I knew it was complicated, but I didn’t realize the twists involved with rendezvous. There’s also some semi-related interesting stuff on the torture devices constructed to put the astronauts through the paces. One was called MASTIF, it revolved on 3 gimbals and could hit 60 RPM in a single revolution, turning on three axes. They had a big red “Chicken” button to be pressed, when you couldn’t handle it any longer. A loud klaxon would sound, letting everyone know you wimped out. Homosexuals are …. different. Anonymous anal intercourse, with dozens of partners is not unheard of.
That’s why they used to make massive arrests at public parks, rest areas, and the like. They all congregate at places like that to “cruise”. Dick Quest was the British CNN correspondent arrested in NYC’s Central Park early one morning, notable because of an apparent drug-induced disorientation, with a leash around his member. Posted by: Ian S. at June 30, 2026 09:26 PM (xlvhb) Meanwhile it's still commonly used here in Alaska. Calling them all "Inuit" is jug-headed even by woketard standards. The Inuit live in Canada. Alaska has Inupiat (fairly closely related to the Inuit, but distinct) and Yupik (more distant). Yupik definitely do not like being called "Inuit". Historically the two groups did not get along. The languages are related, but not that closely. It's like calling a Spaniard "French" just because they both speak a Romance language (i.e., might even get your ass kicked for that). Oh, and Alaska's Indian tribes are definitely not Eskimos. Take the historical dislike between Inupiat and Yupik and magnify it by about a hundred. Where I live there are Eskimos (Chugachigmiut, a Yupik people) on the other side of the Chugach mountain range east of town, in the Prince William Sound drainage. On this side, in the Cook Inlet drainage, it's historically been all Indians (Denaʼina, an Athabascan people). Why? Because the Denaʼina genocided the Chugachigmiut on this side of the Chugach mountains before Whitey even showed up. Posted by: Rodrigo Borgia at June 30, 2026 09:39 PM (qpyNK) 203

——- Luis Alvarez once suggested that a sufficiently large mass of U235 slammed into another mass by hand could achieve criticality and blow up. This is of course why Uranium and such is so closely monitored. Fermi constructed NR-1 on the squash court during the war using hired people off the street, involving tons of bricks of graphite. He did this because the government contracted firm to construct it was on strike, it was supposed to be built at Argonne iirc. Posted by: Common Tater at June 30, 2026 09:56 PM (9EbSF) 216

Fermi was a great fan of Square Dancing. He was said to “dance with his brain, not his feet”, but still. He loved America.
They assigned him a personal bodyguard during the Los Alamos days. They spent a lot of time playing Gin Rummy when traveling. By the time the war ended, he ended up owing his bodyguard several million dollars. They both would reveal this to people with a serious tone. LOL I guess Von Neumann learned to play poker, but always got beat. He wrote the book on probability theory and similar. Posted by: Common Tater at June 30, 2026 10:01 PM (9EbSF) 225
