Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Supreme Court Defends Its Bruen Decision, Refusing Hawaii's Insistence That the "Spirit of Aloha" Overrides the 2nd AmendmentHawaii claims "the spirit of Aloha" allows them to do a lot of things, like discriminate in favor of native-born Hawaiians over newcomers. Maybe this will serve as a precedent for a ruling knocking down that racial discrimination. But for the moment, the Supreme Court has ruled that Hawaii's "spirit of Aloha" does not grant the racist statespecial license to deny American citizens their second amendment rights. And the states of California, Maryland, NJ, and NY will likewise have to accept that the Supreme Court meant what it said when it reaffirmed that Americans generally have the right to self-defense. Note that the Court says that property owners can in fact exclude guns from their property -- but the state can't make it a crime to bring guns to someone's property, if that property owner hasn't said anything about guns either way. Previous decision was totally contrary to the "Spirit of Aloha".
The State has some holdover from old Hawaiian Law. One being 'equal access' - Even the King could not block peasants from their land if they (peasant) want to go to the mountain or the sea. The modern way is to have clearly designated 'beach access' from public roads or let the unclean masses trapse through your beautiful resort. (A lot of hotels did let folks pass through from street to beach rather than giving a designated access lane). Not many wanted to go to the mountain... unless you just washed up on the beach... so it works both ways. So, even using Hawaiian Law, the original decision was pure BS. I think this opinion has the potential to hit even harder than it does on the surface (and not just with the 2nd Amendment).
Let's look at the 1st Amendment for a moment. In California, an employer has the ability to fire you for not using a person's preferred pronouns. They support this under California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), gender expression is fully protected. And yet, that contradicts the 1st Amendment via someone who does not accept "transgender" or multiple genders, or plural pronouns as applicable. One could hold their opinion based on grammar, religion, common sense, or factual biology...and as your opinion, your 1st Amendment rights protect you. California is, basically, altering the 1st Amendment, as Hawaii was altering the 2nd Amendment, are they not? Posted by: Orson at June 25, 2026 04:48 PM (dIske) 45

It's no secret that the native Hawaiians are pretty racist against everyone that isn't them. And the state government panders to that. What complicates that a bit is that the historic Hawaiian culture was racially differentiated. There were ordinary subjects that were shorter and darker, and a ruling aristocracy that was taller and lighter. The aristocracy had the power of instant arbitrary life and death over the lower class. Posted by: Semi-Literate Thug at June 25, 2026 04:57 PM (VWtfl) 65

That law is probably overbroad. I can see it for some shit-kickin' country bars -but even there, most of the fights are in the parking lot with easy access to the pickup the gun is probably in - but you have to leave the gun outside, even in really placid restaurants. The Show Low Cafe picked up a license after years without it. Aubrey Huff @aubrey_huff · 2h Wanted to say thanks for all the overwhelming support from an ocean of people like me who are fed up with the non stop gay fatigue! The utter distain we all feel for much of the intolerant, unhappy, whiny, mentally unstable, & sexually confused members within the LGBTQ community who demand monthly worship from every person, & institution on Earth has gotten out of control. These lunatics act as if the entire human race depends on them letting us all know which of the 473 genders do they identify as… & most importantly the kind of people they like banging the most. I laughed so hard at many of the thousands comments from completely unhinged, angry, miserable, & intolerant butt pirates whom felt so emotionally triggered by my posts they just couldn’t help but let me know what an intolerant & homophobic piece of shit bigot I am. It was quite a powerful, & amazing feeling to know I have the power to alter the minds, control the emotions, & absolutely ruin the day for an entire Army of meat pushers. Re: the previous discussion of the Socialists taking over NY state and the Democratic Party eventually, a little historical hindsight is revelatory:
When the demographic of cowardly 18-24-year-olld males in the late 1960s stp merely "going to anti-war protests"to ave their own skins from being drafted, and organized into the Students for a Democratic Society, they all thought it was a fantastic turns of events, getting organized, getting their voices heard, pressuring LBJ an the Democrats, rioting at the Chicago Dem convention, etc. "Wow! we're making headway. We're becming influential!" they all thought. And then the commies stepped in, co=pted tthe SDS, turned it far-left, and they all thught, :Wow! Thisn is great! The "Revolution: is abut to happen! We're a realm force in American politics!" And then the SDS splintered into The Weather Underground Maoist terror network, the Yippie anarchist street theater, and the rest infiltrating thr Democratic Party to turn it left, they all thought, "This is Great! We're fighting on three fronts -- mainstream poltics, media manipulation, and terror attacksm-- all at once! We're sure to win soon, and The Revolution is here.. (con't) Posted by: zombie at June 25, 2026 05:09 PM (Av6i5) 104
And then reality happened.
And reality was two consecutive Richard Nixon landslides, and the US as a whole turning RIGHTward. Because taking over the Democratic Party internally and turning it leftward is NOT the same thing and influencing the electoral overall as a whole. History has proven time and time again that dragging one of of the political spectrum off to the extreme only causes the other end - and the center, most importantly -- the pull the opposite direction. The Dems with go from being a center-left part with 45% of overall popular support, to being an extreme left party with 28% popular support. The socialist may win internal Dem battles, and battle within blue states, but all they're doing is setting themselves up to fail on a nationwide scale. "fairly applies a first principle of property law--the right to exclude--and does no harm to the Second Amendment."
No, actually, it doesn't. Because it applies a burdensome standard to the property owner and the bearer of arms. See, in a normal situation, the property owner has to notify everyone of exceptions to the normal course of exercising their rights. You have to tell people "no trespassing" because the normal exercise of their rights is to go on your property - to sell you something or serve you notice or just knock on your door to meet you. You have to tell them "I not only don't want what you're selling, but I don't even want to have to tell you 'No' and to get off my property." The "vampire rule" required me to say "Yes, you can exercise your rights here." And it harmed the 2A because it said I had to assume I would NOT be allowed to exercise my rights unless communicated otherwise. Posted by: GWB at June 25, 2026 05:13 PM (kU0PQ) 112

Somehow that sounds like the opposite of "Aloha", unless it's the "bye" version.
Posted by: Axeman Haole is the opposite of Aloha. They will tell you with a straight face that is their traditional word for 'white person' so it is OK. Like popolo is their traditional word for 'black person'. BS on both counts. Aside from the obvious, why have words for people you have never met and had no idea they existed, Popolo is black berry Haole is w/o Aloha or the spirit of life (they thought breath was the soul). Basically, they are calling whites "Zombie" So, yes, THIS "Spirit of Aloha" is simple racism. On the flip side, the natives tend to be rather red-necky and live and let live... as a whole, Hawaii is alien. Posted by: Itinerant Alley Butcher at June 25, 2026 05:24 PM (/lPRQ) 156

To have standing, you must show harm... either real or imminent. Now, what HARM is there having Trump's name on the Kennedy Center?
