It's interesting. That actor in CV (I haven't seen it) has been effectively blackballed in Hollywood. He had some pretty horrible emails that became public (wonder who he pissed off). Seems he took this job so he had a job and make some money as rolls haven't been coming in because of those emails. He's accidently found himself in a hit movie. Go figure.

It's IPO had a projected TAM of 28.5 TRILLION, with more than 90% of that as the imputed value of AI unicorn farts, not the core business.

Musk is cashing on AI the bubble with a grossly inflated IPO. The business will remain perfectly viable at a drastically reduced stock price, and the speculators will take a haircut.

The stock price is going to drop more before it finds something approaching a realistic price.

We once went an entire Christmas and I did not notice a Hot Wheels red sports car next to the manger til I put it up. It was the kid's nativity scene and I guess they moved the figures around and had Nascar at the same time. Unknown.

Probably the same Christmas they knocked the tree over and gallons of water while I was working 3-11pm. I could always tell their Dad had a rough shift if there was a time out chair facing the wall. This time the tree was held up by wires to the wall.

LOL, me, too. I still haven't broken even on bitcoin.

I don't have many stocks, less than a thousand dollars on Robin Hood, so it's basically just playing. But the one good performer I have is Freeport McMoran (FCX). Copper, gold, molybdenum mining. I've gotten a 65% return in the last two years.

This past week I took a road trip with a friend who picked me up in my home town of Prescott, AZ and we drove to his home in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Along the way, we spent a couple of nights in Hutchinson, KS (my first time in the state) and spent an entire day touring and going to events at the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson.

Musk has never produced a long-term loser. I think Space X will be profitable in the long term, and now is when I could afford my one single share. I anticipate the success of the Boring Company, also.

Am I wrong in thinking Space X is likely to get government contracts for space exploration? Maybe, I don't know much about that stuff. But it seems like the most successful rocket venture out there.

Craziest wreck I ever saw was on I-95, northbound about 30 miles south of DC. A chevy van was off the road, the boat trailer twisted all to hell and the boat about 25 feet up a tree. The cops were laughing.

I had to bring a boat back from western South Carolina once. I don't remember the route numbers, i followed the GPS, but it paralleled 95 and went up through the Blue Ridge Mountains, into the middle of PA and then took me up the Hudson Valley before crossing into CT.

I completely avoided 95 and it was a much prettier and less stressful drive. Probably took a couple hours longer and worth it.

Interstate 81 is a lot of it - goes through the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge valleys in a SW-NE slant paralleling the coast but missing all the major cities. Also very scenic if you pop off and do a few miles on the park routes on the ridge tops. But don't try to go the whole way up there, too twisty.

That sounds like US Rt. 219, but I don't think it starts at the Blue Ridge or ends at the Hudson Valley (western NY I think). It's close though. I'll have to look at a map later.

Long ago, 1980s, i was in a furniture delivery truck driving south on I-95 in Maryland. It was the end of the day, driving back to the warehouse in an empty truck to finish up at the end of the day. The left-most lane had a pair of approaching headlights. The driver moved right out of the lane, and a car blew past going in the opposite direction at full speed. Got a glimpse of two white-haired geezers in the front seats. Combined approach speed about 130 mph. You see some weird things on the road doing a delivery job every day, but that was one of the weirdest. I didn't see anything in the paper about a fatal head on collision, so maybe the geezers figured it out.
