Kangaroo Backyard Brawl Cafe

oregonbenmilbrath.jpg
Oregon
Ben Milbrath

Canine kiss cam.

Poor little dog just wants peace.

Very sassy dog.

Dumb blonde.

Pet squirrel is crying because wild squirrels stole her stored nuts.

After a long day of work, it's nice to come home.

Dog and duck enjoy a game of chase:

It's old but still so cute:

21 When I was a little girl, we had a Mallard drake and a dog who were best friends. They chased each other around the yard. Then one day, the duck flew away and the dog disappeared soon after. My uncle was the dog catcher in my little hometown, though, and he found me the best dog, a beagle my mom named Sam. Once, when I was home alone, someone opened the screen door. She chased him out of the yard and climbed the fence right on his ass, baying all the way. She knew all my secrets and never told a soul. Everyone should know the love of a good dog.

66 I'm watching "Agatha Christie's Poirot" and came to a realization.

It sucks being a famous detective because you never really get a break.

You go on a cruise to get away from it all and someone dies under mysterious circumstances.

You go out to the country to celebrate Christmas and your host keels over and has his prize gems stolen.

You go down to the corner store to get a newspaper and three people are dead in your neighborhood before you get home.

105 All right, Ace! That's a great photo of Smith Rock State Park. I've been thinking of painting it but my own photos were taken around mid-day and are kinda blah. Will have to get back up there and take some more, preferably around 10 AM when the shadows are nice and dramatic and the colors aren't washed out. We were in Terrebonne OR for the 2017 total solar eclipse and I've seen some amazing photos of a rock climber silhouetted against the eclipse; apparently they started climbing several hours beforehand just so they'd be in the right spot for that brief, minute-and-a-half interval. Awesome.

Now THAT is the art of shame. Well deserved and probably effective. I don't know how that girl will face the world (sorry, hon, but you freakin' dumped a load of trash on a sidewalk so you could steal a trash can for its cuteness, not even because you needed to hold trash), and I imagine it will be a while before she gets another 6-figure job in Manhattan. Well, what can one say, except the DSA may have a verrry savvy strategy indeed, which is to gain power in places with a huge political/economic/social/cultural profile that grossly overshadows what turns out to be a very small citizens' collective voice.
