Trump's Acting Director of National Intelligence Begins Mass-Firing Obama/Biden Holdovers and Hacks

During Trumo's first term, a friend of mine, Rich Higgins, wrote to Trump advising him to fire just about everyone in the Office of National Intelligence. Obama and then Biden had purged most good people from the organization and filled it with political hacks.

Trump's acting Director of National Intelligence, Bill Pulte, just took the long-awaited step of firing their asses.

ABC "News" is pissy, of course, because the Democrat way is to fill the bureaucracies with stone-cold Democrat/progressive partisans who shape the country's policies even when a Republican is nominally the president.

Trump's acting director of national intelligence begins firings at agency, sources say

Trump had previously called for the "needed downsizing of the office."

I don't know if the office really needs to be downsized. But I think it's easier just to say "we need to downsize" and then to fire all of the Obama hacks.

And then later, maybe, decide "Oh we need a few more people, we're going to hire some more people."

President Donald Trump's acting director of national intelligence has begun firing people at the agency, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News.

Bill Pulte, a Trump loyalist with zero intelligence experience, took over the agency late last week and had promised to cut hundreds of jobs at ODNI once taking over.

Obama never held a real job before he became a state senator and the left insisted to us that he had all the experience he needed to be president.

It was not immediately clear how many jobs had already been affected, but sources told ABC News that the National Counterterrorism Center was expected to be hit hard.

Oh, John Brennan's old unit?

...

Trump, for his part, has made clear he wants Pulte to slash jobs at the agency.

Trump said earlier this month the size of ODNI has been "way too high for way too long" and told reporters he wouldn't mind it if cuts were made. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal earlier this month, Trump also said he wanted Pulte to "start the process" of firing ODNI personnel and cited his role as acting director as "less shackled," according to the paper.

John Thune knows better than to poke the bear again and supports the firings:

On the other hand, the egotistical Democrat recruited to be North Carolina's senator by Mitch McConnell is shrieking that all of his Obama/Biden frenz are out of jobs, saying Pullte is an "incompetent sycophant" and his firings will be "another stinking pile of dog shit."

37 One thing I want to mention as someone who has been in public school teaching for over 20 years (happily un-unionized) is how lazy Democratic bureaucrats are. Most of you just see their handi-work when it goes viral (e.g. crazy teacher has an unhinged rant that a student films). However, with very few exception most of these careerist types phone everything in. They steal their curriculum materials from other teachers or just copy whatever is in the teacher's manual from their textbook. They can't answer questions because they don't understand the material. Sure, some of them get students to repeat nonsense back to them, but it's akin to that British teacher and Pink Floyd's "The Wall" getting kids to mindlessly recite the definition of an acre.

Another side to this laziness is that if you disrupt most of these people they will just slither away. Sure, they'll file a lawsuit if Soros Inc. does everything, but otherwise everything is just too much work. When my principal took over in 2013 he started bullying teachers to purge them in some kind of weird power play. Each teacher just gave up and left for another district until he came after me.

151 Communists are all about envy. They want what others have, but they are not willing to work to get it.

Fags, likewise, are all about envy. They want the respect that heterosexuals get for being normal, but they aren't willing to stop being fags to get it.

Transsexuals are all about envy. They don't want to be women, or men, or whatever they are, because they just don't seem to fit in as that person, but they have no idea what being the opposite sex really entails, so they become a stereotype, and eventually it drives them completely mad.

Feminists are all about envy. They want to be big, tough, ruthless, predacious men, which they believe men are even if men are not, but they aren't able to become that so they become bitchy, ugly and obnoxious instead.

Here's a thought. God created you just as you are, and then you decided to warp that to become something you aren't. Maybe the problem is not with society, but with you.

Like the rule of assholes, I should think.

Federal immigration law is pretty clear on who is and isn’t a citizen. If someone’s parents are not citizens and they just happen to drop a child here only some complete obfuscation of the law would judge that child a citizen. There are volumes of law defining the process to become a citizen. If Congress intended illegal immigrant children to automatically become citizens it would also be there. This examination process that deduces because it is not there, ergo Congress needs to write it in, as opposed to- if they wanted it they would have written it in is not just contra intellectual, it is contrary to how the Framers intended the constitution to work. It is a liberal thought process that has poisoned the well of liberty.

160 Kelsey Grammer on Jess Watters last night. As opposed to Billy Crystal who opened the Hollywood Bowl summer season by getting cheers for mentioning Trump's name has been taken down at the Kennedy Center:
---------------------------------------------
'There is a virus that has infected a very small number of people, I think, who just want to tear things down. They've been consumed by hatred.

'Of course, hatred ends up basically destroying you. They're welcome to it. I pray for them. I pray for everyone to find decent sentiment in their hearts about this country and about the people who run it these days and about those who love it, because it's worth loving.'

After Watters claimed that tourists visiting the United States for the World Cup respected the country more than Americans do, Grammer said, 'It's great that we're given this chance to see it in the eyes of so many of our European fellows and South American fellows. This whole idea about many, we are one, it is one of the greatest things in the world.

'It's by definition a diverse nation, but we have a unifying concept that everybody's worth reaching for the moon. And America will help you do it.'

2. Or a plurality decision that does address the 14th Amendment in some way, but with a plethora of partial concurrence/partial dissents and a "majority" opinion that has various parts with more or less binding nature.

In other words, headlines will treat the ruling as some sort of definitive Dredd Scott ruling, but it will probably be a mess that does not solve the issue at all, and probably isn't intended to.

A13 had got added with less fuss. The North swept their ratifications and Reconstruction hadn't quite devolved into the mess it devolved into, at that time (and a lot of the South was kinda sick of slavery too).

Actual SCOTUS precedent says the child would not be an American citizen.

Wong Kim Ark's ruling outlines the specifics, primary of which was legal residence of the parents upon the birth.

I suspect this SCOTUS will give us, at best, a nothing order that calls on Congress to clarify things, though.

230 Acting Director of NI removed dozens of career officials & fired political appointees. Many 'staff' were reverted to home agencies without clear reassignment paths.

Federal lawsuit, DOE 1 v. Office of the Director of National Intelligence (1:25-cv-00300), was filed on February 17, 2025, by a group of 'nonpartisan,' career civil servants working in national security roles within the CIA & ODNI.

The case serves as a crucial legal battle ground regarding the Trump's administration's mass downsizing of the intelligence community following EO 14152, mandating the termination of federal diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) initiatives.

March 2025, a US District Judge issued a mixed ruling. He granted a preliminary injunction that barred the administration from terminating the plaintiffs without court approval. The order also forced the ODNI and CIA to allow employees to appeal any termination decisions and mandated that the agencies consider them for open position outside of restricted "competitive areas."

The gov fought back, proceedings stayed, and oral arguments heard Dec. 2025. The case is ongoing, awaiting final ruling by the 4th Circuit panel.

261 Presidential Actions
Ending Radical And Wasteful Government DEI Programs And Preferencing
The White House, January 20, 2025

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered:
Section 1. Purpose and Policy. The Biden Administration forced illegal and immoral discrimination programs, going by the name “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI), into virtually all aspects of the Federal Government, in areas ranging from airline safety to the military. This was a concerted effort stemming from President Biden’s first day in office, when he issued Executive Order 13985, “Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government.”

Pursuant to Executive Order 13985 and follow-on orders, nearly every Federal agency and entity submitted “Equity Action Plans” to detail the ways that they have furthered DEIs infiltration of the Federal Government. The public release of these plans demonstrated immense public waste and shameful discrimination. That ends today. Americans deserve a government committed to serving every person with equal dignity and respect, ... much more.

280 I forgot about this - and didn't realize 7 GOPer's saved her from censure, nice......

LaMonica McIver, now 40, and pregnant with her second child, is set to appear in federal court on charges that she did 'forcibly assault, resist, oppose, impede, intimidate, and interfere with' a federal law enforcement agent who was carrying out his duties, per her indictment last year.

McIver, who also currently has a 9-year-old daughter, could face as long as 17 years if convicted.

During a visit she conducted with fellow lawmakers at New Jersey's Delaney Hall immigration facility last May, McIver was caught on video in a clash with law enforcement officials.

She has asked for the charges to be dismissed, and has pleaded not guilty to three counts of assaulting, resisting, impeding, and interfering with federal officials related to actions in the ICE facility skirmish.

She was also saved from a career-shaming embarrassment by seven of her Republican colleagues, who decided not to censure her in the House of Representatives after she was charged the previous year.

'If House Republicans think they can make me run scared, they're wrong,' McIver noted in a statement issued before the vote.

301 295 I went to high school with a guy that was on that cruise......

We're not friends so I don't have any details on his experience, however.

306 In random news, apparently there is a "short squeeze" going on for Wendy's.

Which could be a euphemism, but it's not.

309 No, and that was the big draw for easy hiring into a, or another, Federal agency, an able job selection or NOT.

A huge majority of non-DOD agencies don't want to spend their money on government clearances that take a while to do well.

310 I have no desire to go on a cruise.

My wife likes it so we've done a few. If your idea of a good vacation is to have pre-planned where you're going to sleep, where you're going to eat, and what you're going to do every day, then it's not a bad deal. Personally, I'd rather spend the same amount of time and money driving randomly around the US.

It seems there's really only one specific demographic that's ruining cruises for everyone.

Have ALL of those videos playing in the entrances to the ships and have large men with tasers everywhere and signs that say "NO TOLERANCE."

Start electrocuting the ferals and sending them home.

323 Off topic but keep an eye out for the new quarters about to be issued celebrating the Declaration of Independence. Just 250,000 of them will have a "July 4" stamp on the front and will be highly sought after by collectors. Some estimate that they may fetch $50-$100.

I was hired by the last clown factory for being able to understand DOD structure, relevant directives, industrial worksites, etc.

The clown factory had learned they could definitely not sashay into DOD and related sites & demand immediate entry and obedience.

Everyone in federal service, from the lowly cafeteria worker to ex-presidents should have their clearance yanked the day their out of a job. And for former presidents/intelligence/military/etc. no more "read in's" on anything remotely sensitive.

They can read about it in the NYT.
