Animated series ViQueens. Apparently not alphabet.
Just girllllll power.

EXCLUSIVE: Dutch-Norwegian director Zwart Arbeid gave a sneak peek of his upcoming animated feature ViQueens in a masterclass at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival on Thursday, and Deadline can share the teaser exclusively too.

Co-starring Ella Purnell and Rita Ora in the voice cast, with a special appearance by global soccer superstar Erling Haaland, the adventure-comedy follows fearless Viking girls Ingrid and Hedvig as they defy tradition to return a stowaway boy to China.

Their journey spans icy fjords, Byzantine intrigue, and the fabled Silk Road, blending Viking grit with ancient Chinese wisdom, unexpected alliances, and a touch of magic.

Next up is Mullin v. Al Otro Lado.

The vote is 6-3.

This case challenges the federal government’s policy of systematically turning back asylum seekers before they reach the U.S.-Mexico border. The Ninth Circuit held that noncitizens who were turned away before they could enter the U.S. had “arrived in” the United States for purposes of federal immigration law and therefore could apply for asylum.

The court reverses the Ninth Circuit.

189 I have a bit of an issue with the term "closing" the Hormuz. It's never "closed." It IS, sometimes, risky to traverse. I've always contended that the commercial shipping industry's aversion for risk is what we're really discussing.

A couple of Florida rednecks hell bent on motoring through in a fast boat wouldn't think twice about running Iran's silly blockade. But a multi-billion dollar VLCC without insurance and a skittish crew isn't going to even think about it.

Every time someone in Iran runs their mouth about the Hormuz being "closed" we oughta' drop 20 2000lb bombs on 20 of their mosques. And then tell them to shut the fuck up.

Well, at least Elliot Page won't play Conan.

211 180 I remember really like the Ahnuld Conan movies...I wonder if they still hold up? Likely the FX with the monster in the second movie looks dated but I remember thinking the supporting cast like James Earl Jones did really well in their roles.

First Conan movie was great. 2nd one tried to appeal to younger audiences and failed to appeal to any audience.

214 We have the final decision, in Mullin v. Doe

It is 6-3.

Kagan dissents, joined by Sotomayor and Jackson.

This case is a challenge to the decision by then-Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem to end Temporary Protected Status (a program that allows recipients to remain in the US and work if they cannot return safely to their own countries) for Syrian and Haitian nationals.

The court holds that the Syrian and Haitian nationals are not "entitled to orders postponing the terminations during litigation."

The Supreme Court first holds that courts cannot review the Haitian and Syrian nationals' non-constitutional claims, because the TPS statute bars judicial review.

215 Mullin vs Doe:

Terminating TPS. 6-3

Foreign nationals are not entitled to stay during litigation.

Bye.

I guess the Iranians won and we should just pack up and go home.

It was a valiant effort.

Pretty god description of how it played out, in the end.
But don’t fret, Erdogan is our new best friend in the region. Trump is heading to Ankara in a week or two, and a headline in a Turkish outlet says that Trump told Erdogan he is attending Nato's Ankara summit 'just for him'. US sources say he’s bringing a deal to sell Erdogan all the advanced aircraft engines and F-35’s he is asking for. Israel is unhappy, but who cares.

217 The court next holds that the Haitian nationals' constitutional claim, that the decision to terminate TPS status for Haiti was based on racial discrimination, "will likely fail."

218 Mosquitos...

Saw a couple videos the other day of people making traps out of a 5 gal bucket, some water and yard clippings with "mosquito bits" to kill off the larva... thus, over time, reducing the number of the bugs.

It does apparently work. But you'd need several or many buckets setup if you had a lot of property.

I may try it. The 'skeeters are horrible right now and rain's expected later today through Monday.

219 201 iff we got one, I don't much follow WNBA as it's more soap opera than sport, but there's another article about non calls on Caitlin Clark fouls, this time by Alyssa Thomas.
What caught my attention was the photo, Clark on ground with knuckles being pressed into her neck, view showing forearm and back of habd prominently.
Damn, thats a man's hand without the captioning.

I watched last night's Fever game. I think all the complaints from the previous game had an impact. There were actual calls against Caitlin Clark's opponents.

You aren't kidding...Olivia d'Abo was only 14 when they made it. IIRC she was just playing the classic "princess in distress" so not a hard role to play but very different from Sandahl Bergman as the main female character in the first.

If we don't get IAEA inspectors back in there, I'd reluctantly agree. We must determine the true status of their nuclear program, or the war failed its primary casus belli.
