They'll do anything to salvage their image in the eyes of the public, especially if they've got a soft landing set up such as a "consulting" job that leverages their political career up to that point.

The problem is getting Victor traps set. I have a hell of a time doing it. I've been using Tomcat traps and have had some success with them. This mouse has so far avoided all of them, except for the sticky trap that it pulled itself out of. That kind of pissed me off. I've used them before too and had success. Just not this time.

Especially now. If they were halfway pragmatic, they would look at AB and say "get all the oil out of the ground, we have to pay for lots and lots of social spending." But they are not pragmatic. They are very much Maoist in their outlook. PM Carney is right and if you disagree you are just an evil capitalist roader.

This view is bankrupting Canada and the government's view that if Canada is destroyed as a consequence of their decisions, so be it.

Okay, get some of the original style with the metal trip pedal. I've never had trouble setting those, there's a notch that's easy to see where the trip-arm sets into.

1. Bait the metal trip pedal with peanut butter. Put a nice glob of the peanut butter onto the metal loop and work it inside the loop too if you can.

2. Move the spring 180 degrees to the other side, holding it down on the wood with your thumb.

3. Swing the trip arm up and over the spring.

4. End of the trip arm fits into the notch on the metal trip pedal.

5. GENTLY remove pressure with your thumb so the trip arm locks into the notch on the metal trip pedal.

6. Hold the trap between thumb and index finger on the side that the spring arm is on when ARMED. If it lets go, this way it won't snap you. :-)

7. GENTLY place it down along side of where the wall and the floor meet, long side against wall.

8. Check every 12 hours, or wait for the *SNAP!* :-)

I've had cases where the trap has been tripped or the bait has been eaten without tripping the trap multiple times. Do not lose patience, just keep baiting the trap, it'll work.

Small mice can lick the bait completely out of the trip trigger, but a bigger fatter mouse (more importantly a mouse that has been fed well from your peanut butter and is used to an easy meal) will make a mistake and will get killed.

Mice can not resist peanut butter. They will return time after time for the easy meal.

Best way to load the trap to avoid contaminating your peanut butter jar:

a) Load the tip of a knife with peanut butter.
b) Transfer PB to fresh NEW toothpick.
c) Use toothpick to load trigger on trap (while disarmed.)
d) Throw toothpick away.
e) If loading another trap, repeat from (a) or (b).

We had one year where we killed over 20 mice. It was nuts. You couldn't even find traps in the store, apparently the mouse population had exploded that year and everyone was having problems. Always, ALWAYS keep 6 to 12 extra new traps on your shelf, ready to go. Get a "value pack".

Next year we caught maybe 1 or 2 all year.

They didn’t need to. A popular Labour Party member, Burnham, won a by election to get a seat in Parliament, and beat Reform pretty easily. Reportedly all of Starmers cabinet ministers told Starmer he had this week to get out or they would lead the vote to throw him out. Burnham will be his replacement.

During the campaign, he flatly stated that he's looking for immigration reform, not any mass deportations, and that he wants his coalition to build Muslim support, not alienate them.

Perhaps someone else will rise up and demand a Britain for the British, but it won't be Farage.

I expect Reform's approach to deportations will be less aggressive than Trump's, not more.

He was good on Brexit, but he's not exactly strong on immigration - his Party is succeeding by offering the less blatantly insane approach to the problem.

If they (or us, for that matter) want to "turn things around," a whole lot of people have to be sent packing, and nobody yet seems to have the political will for this kind of dramatic reversal of globalist policy orthodoxy.
