History's first trillionaire is a guy who catches rockets out of the sky with chopsticks and beams internet to every dead zone on the planet.

Same guy ships cars that drive themselves, humanoid robots for the factory floor, brain chips that let paralyzed people move a cursor with pure thought, and an AI running on a supercomputer his team stood up in months instead of years.

And the people crashing out about his net worth are doing it on the app he owns. The same app governments spent years trying to censor.

You cannot legislate a rocket into orbit.

12 I really don't care if Elon Musk is a trillionaire. I don't see much difference between being whatever is the amount below a trillionaire and that. Also, for being a space nerd and having a non traditional family life, he seems less weird to me than Bill Gates who thinks himself as some sort of "god" in wanting to "save the planet " in various weird ways.

She absolutely loves and adores the cats.
And nobody takes better care of them than she does.

And it gets her out of the Baltimore area for a while several times per year, and away from the constant fear of violent crime against the elderly. If/when she can no longer stay there, our home is open to her, but for now she is firm in her desire to continue to live there. So, frequent visits to South Carolina give her a break from the drudgery of surviving day to day in that formerly beautiful area.

50 Congratulations to Elon. An interview I saw with him brought forth a detail I hadn't realized about him, but it makes sense upon hearing it: His mind never shuts up. He's constantly having ideas about how to change, fix, or create things.

You know those nights when you can't get your mind to shut up, and you're laying there in bed trying to get some sleep? You know you have important stuff to do the next day, and you know you'll be completely bagged if you don't manage to get enough sleep, but your mind won't cooperate?

That's Elon's world constantly. The man knows no peace. He's driven to try out these ideas to see what can be done with them, and in doing so, he's become a massive success, repeatedly. The money was never the goal, it's just a resource to use to try out the ideas.

Most people would go mad. Elon hasn't.

That's why he has that level of money, because it was never the main focus. It's just a byproduct.

The Man Who Sold the Moon, one of the "Future History" stories. I read it at nineteen, liked it, but didn't understand all the business moves; I might like it even better now. As an opening gambit, DDH asks, "Who owns the Moon?" The Moon travels over a certain band of the Earth, north and south of the equator. How far up do those countries' airspace rights go? Can they be said to have ownership rights to the Moon?

Looks like there was a substantial gain by identifying fraud, but then there was this big, beautiful bill thing that increased the budget overall. When do we do anything about that(decreasing spending, I mean)? Or do we have to keep the excess spending going until the whole system comes crashing down due to interest payments in order to keep the dollar going a little while longer?

The San Francisco Giants have worn rainbow-colored hats on their annual celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community since 2021. But when "Pride Night" came to Oracle Park for 2026 on Friday, four of the five pitchers the Giants used in the game doctored their uniforms in what has been become an increasingly common form of protest from MLB players.

While it wasn't perfectly legible on the NBC Sports Bay Area broadcast, Roupp and Brubaker each appeared to have written "Genesis 9:13-15" on their hats. The New International Version of the Bible says that a rainbow represents the "sign of the covenant" between God and the earth. Other Bible translations have that specific quote in slightly different parts of the ninth chapter of the book of Genesis. Miss Linda is the same way about Da Swamp. She didn't grow up here -- I did. But I'm the one who wants to flee, having seen clearly what it has devolved into. She has some friends from church here, but no family. Maybe it's the familiarity. She's lived in her condo since 2002.

Of course their regular milk is horrifyingly priced too. When I go there I might buy one of their small "Under $5" loaves of bread -- half a loaf, one might say -- for the novelty. But we have a discount bakery outlet that sells the Dave's Killer Bread products, which run $5 or more even at Walmart, for $2.00, so I get my bread there.

And let me tell you they were good, down to earth people Mr. Sam did not make a big deal about his money. He said that it was all on paper. (In other words he did not have billionaires of dollars laying around that he could jump into, it was all on paper). On his farm he drove around in his ten year old pick-up truck. And his favorite pass time was getting his dogs and going hunting. They were really very nice people.

As did I. Marx had one of their multi-piece playsets, and they or another company sold a mounted Zorro figure with his black cape molded to flow out behind him.

Looking at the shows now, they are well done. Guy Williams had charisma to burn. And they were half-hour shows; so the production did them like old-time serials, with the same antagonist and storyline carried over several episodes. Each storyline thus had a chance to be developed.
