Erika Kirk wowed the crowd at Turning Point USA's Women Leadership Summit with her cool response to a heckler who tried -- and failed -- to derail her speech.
A woman could be heard off camera, shouting from the audience as the CEO urged the crowd at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter to put their faith in God.
"Erika Kirk protects pedophiles! Erika Kirk protects pedophiles!" the woman screamed, video of the Friday event showed.
"It's important to remember that happiness comes and goes -- and I pray that you find it," she said to the heckler.
A protester outside a Turning Point USA event hosted by Erika Kirk dressed up as Charlie Kirk and re-enacted his death as crowds chanted, "He deserved to die."

The audience responded with cheers and applause, with some members of the crowd shouting: "We love you, Erika!"
The widow took several more jabs at the heckler -- who was removed from the crowd.
"That's an important moment because that just shows duty to faithfulness gives life meaning, and we must pray for our enemies and those that do not feel like their life has meaning. And that's a perfect example of that. A perfect example. You pray for your enemies. You pray for those that persecute you," Kirk said.
"That's not the enemy. We know who the real enemy is," she continued, without elaborating.

I have to wonder how her husband feels or thinks. Is he ok with this? Money for clicks? Whether pretending to be Catholic or dining with Putin?

My SIL, widowed at 32yrs, remarried the best friend of her husband, who had never married, a little over 2yrs later. As a family we were happy for them. They had mutual grief that became love.

In reality she's told other family stuff like she will never love him as much as my late BIL. Which made me sad, as there are different types of love and to say this a decade or so after his death I found troubling. He raised those boys who call him Dad. Does he always feel like second best?

Her grief later turned to alcoholism in this second marriage, even with grief therapy.

I'm not sure what I would have done so young if my husband dropped dead running. I'm sure move back to my parent's farm with our sons. I would not have had the support of her large family and friends, nor my husband's best friend to marry me.

Now, after being with the same man for 47yrs I know I'd grieve forever in private and there would never be anyone else. I'd try to put on a brave face in public, as Erick Kirk is doing and more than most could, God bless her and keep her strong.

Yet this demon keeps shouting and I wish someone, anyone, would shut her up.
