California Primary Results

Although California will take days or weeks to full tabulate the " " " votes " " ", it appears that Karen Bass will take about 35% of the vote, Spencer Pratt will take 30%, and communist carpetbagger foreigner Nithya Raman 22%.

That means that Bass and Pratt will go on to the general election, which will be held on November 3rd.

Unless Karen Bass's fraudulent vote elves can print up enough fake votes to get her over 50%, in which case she wins immediately. But I think that's too big a lift even for the Democrat fraudsters of the Home of "Ballot Harvesting," California.

Ugh:

Byron York
@ByronYork

54m

At the moment we have 58% of the votes counted in the California governor's race and 63% counted in the LA mayor's race. From NYT: "Most Californians vote by mail, and ballots postmarked on or before Election Day have one week to arrive. In the 2024 primary, about half of results were reported by 5 a.m. Eastern time the day after the election. It took 10 days before 95 percent of results were reported."

Assuming they can't "harvest" enough "votes" to get to 50%...

When I saw those numbers, my first thought was "that's terrible, that means the communist vote is 52% combined and Spencer Pratt will lose."

However...

Karen Bass is the incumbent and could not manage but a tiny bit more than one third support.

An incumbent with 35% support is an incumbent in trouble. Not all of Nithya Raman's voters will migrate to Bass -- after all, they're choosing against the obvious leftwing candidate, the incumbent, for a reason.

Also... the fact that we've established that the total universe for votes for leftwing candidates is right around 52% is bad news for Bass. That's her ceiling. It's a low ceiling.

Regarding the governor's race: the top two vote-getters were Obama/Biden non-entity and incompetent Xavier Bercerra and British FoxNews populist commentator Steve Hilton. Deranged billionaire Tom Steyr and Republican sheriff Chad Bianco finished beneath them. Given that there are still votes to count, and anything can happen in a Democrat-controlled 5th Quarter of voting, it's possible that either of those two could slip into the top two.

There have been reports that Xavier Bercerra used dubious means such as bots to boost the impression that he was the front-runner. It seems to have worked, and there's nothing to be done about that now. But bots aren't going to put him over the top in the general election -- that will require real fraudulent votes.

Other Democrats have already conceded defeat, including college teacher and the Native American demonic Spirit of Ravening Hunger, Fat Wendigo Katie Porter.

hiltonbercerra.jpg

I don't think Bass or Bercerra will wear well over the next five months.

But Karen Bass released a powerful ad arguing for her continuing in her job. (Not really.)

And this Karen Bass ad is even better!

======

It's true.

Sort of like Cornyn in Texas.

However, Los Angeles.

I don't think the point of Pratt's run in LA is to win. I mean...he seems to think he can do it, and all the best to him. However, I think the point is to break the cognitive dissonance of the middle and lower-upper classes in the city.

"I don't know anyone who voted for Bass...and she won. That doesn't make sense."

I think best case scenario out of CA this year is enough Republicans make enough statewide and large city ballots to juice Republican turnout statewide. This will make winning federal House races easier and, perhaps more importantly, state legislature races.

Katie Porter is the result I'm happy about. She left Congress to run for governor. I don't think her ambitions are dead yet -- there are a few state offices like AG or secretary of state that she could run for -- but for now, she'll have to content herself with ruining the minds of young people with her teaching job at Irvine's law school.

81 Ace, the LA Mayor's race is set: It will be Bass vs Spencer.

Earlier last night, Spencer was midway between Bass and Raman, vote-wise, and pundits were hoping that Raman cukld catch up to Spencer.

Oops.

As the votes rolled in, the opposite happened -- Spencer started gaining on Bass, and leaving Raman in the dust.

If this trend continues to the final vote is counted, Spencer will actually come in FIRST, not second.

That probably won;'t happen, and is a moot point anyway, but by the morning it was almost 100% lock-solid clear that Spencer was heading to the runoff, as Raman fades.

89 6 I think there's a good chance they can and will fraud up enough votes to get the deformed frog-faced retard over 50% to win outright. I don't think they want to run any kind of risk that Pratt somehow wins on election day.

I respectfully disagree. As I have observed in Oregon, the infighting between leftists can be fierce -- some because they're fighting for a bigger slice of the grift (and they would cut a bitch over a fiver found on the pavement), others because they're true believers (and their politics is basically a crypto-religious cult). No doubt Raman's supporters on the inside of the election fraud machine will fall in line for the general, but I can't picture them folding and rolling over before it's over.

90 I will say this, this is the last election where CA will be able to count ballots received after Election Day.

yes, I know DOOM is mother's milk around here, but I just don't see any way SCOTUS allows post-election ballots to be counted.

Do I think CA will say, "yeah, but that only applies to federal elections."

Yes. And then SCOTUS will issue shadow docket that, if CA wants to do that, they'll have to send out separate ballots for state and local elections, apart from the fed ballot.

Will CA go full retard and do that?
Probably.

I have no hope that Hilton or Pratt will win the generals, but it should be noted that turnout is very different in the primary and the general.

About 7 million voted in the gubernatorial primary in 2022 and about 11 million voted in the general.

Newsom slightly outran his primary results, but he was also an incumbent.

Will the general include increased enthusiasm from Republicans who feel like they have more than just a sacrificial lamb in major races?

I'd say it'll probably be enough to make it closer but...Democrats still win both races by at least 10 or so as opposed to 20.

Well, the point wasn't to give hope about California (CA voters need to do more than vote to get their way out of that mess by this point), but to poke fun at people who use unpredictive measures to try and predict the midterms.

So many times over the last few months have I see, "Republicans don't turn out! See this results in this state-house special election on a Saturday in the snow? It's obvious that Republicans aren't enthused and won't turn out!"

But then when Republicans do turn out at higher numbers proportionally, it gets ignored.

Why do we have people focusing on the latter and not the former?

(For the record...neither are predictive. I'm just noting the selective choice of what to focus on in comments that betray anything like objective measures, even when people are trying to make it seem like they use objective measures.)

PEST CONTROL

Posted by: Don Black

Holy 🐄! Initiative Petition 28 (IP 2, also known as the PEACE Act, is a proposed ballot measure that would -
Criminalize traditional farming, ranching, livestock breeding, and meat processing; redefine catching fish or crabs as illegal animal injury or slaughter; outlaw the targeting of game animals across public and private lands, and restrict common practices used to manage rodents and other animal pests.

The Oregon Farm Bureau says most concerning for agriculture, IP28 would redefine “sexual assault” to include routine animal breeding practices across all species and even domestic companion animals.

Source: Beef Magazine

The campaign backing the measure submitted over 120,000 signatures to the Oregon Secretary of State, surpassing the 117,173 valid signatures required for it to qualify for the November 2026 ballot. The signatures are currently undergoing verification.

The bill does not entirely ban all animal interactions; it retains narrow exceptions strictly for self-defense and veterinary care.

It's not like you got turned down after a proposal. It's not even like a job interview, and you didn't get the job.

You put yourself forward as an option for the people to choose, for a definitionally temporary term in office. They have no obligation to choose you, and you have no right to expect to be chosen.

Being emotionally unsettled because you lost an election means you were, and are, completely unfit for public office of any kind.

If I lived in Oregon, I'd have signed the petition. Foot to the accelerator.

217 At this point, Californians ARE voting for pain.

No other explanation.

Huh, it must be in the newest issue? It's not in the latest on I got.

219 I think turn-out will be the difference in the run-offs. At this point, if your are a conservative in California (or even a right leaning voter/ middle of the road)...you're likely going to sit out the primary thinking "we're already f*cked...there is no hope".

But, lo and behold, the primary results are showing a spark of hope. That gets previously hopeless sad sacks a bit of a jump start. I would be surprised to see the turn-out in the next step of these elections setting records....especially in the Governor's race. LA is a closed society where the idiots outnumber the semi-idiots by a significant number.

If you were a Dem, you'd never a little thing like living out of state stop you from signing a petition or voting!

221 You know what wasn't brought up in the LA primary? The 28 Olympics. Bass is already on record stating that she will not allow driving to any event. The events are scattered across a huge expanse of LA County. Having her essentially in charge of the Olympics will be an unmitigated disaster.

The flip side of that coin is that she can only control the venues in the city of Los Angeles, and it may be a disaster even with Pratt at the helm.

222 >> An incumbent with 35% support is an incumbent in trouble.

You’re not paying attention to what happened in the last election. We watch several republicans clearly leading up to Election Day. They all lost after California counted ballots for weeks.

22 13 lol at Katie Porter.

They didn't have to pick up 17 percent or so to get to 50 though. They just needed a few percent to 'catch up'. Cheating to get Bass to 35 or 37 still means a final election in the fall.

223 I watched a documentary on Jane Goodall and they showed a vid she took of the mating habits of the chimp population. When the females go into heat -- or whatever they call it -- they just bend over and allow every male in the group to mate with them. The males literally just line up for their turn. Very odd.

Never seen a female cat in heat ? The Toms come from all over the place. On the other hand she can and will drive off a cat she doesn't like by force.

224 I grew up in SoCal. One other thing prior to November that works against Bass and Newsome (the face of the Democrat party in CA), is what always happens in California this time of year - Fires, and lots of them. The whole state goes on fire and these bozos have a hard time putting out a lit match. I have a very hard time believing that they and their fellow Marxist suddenly become competent between now and then.

Prime time for fires is more in the fall after summer adds a layer of flammable brush and the winds from the interior kick up.

225 I overheard a group of people talking in the airport a while back. They were talking about how they could never not live in SoCal long term. From what I pieced together they were all from there, left for college and grad school but all ended back “home” because nowhere else is as awesome as SoCal.

That group ain’t voting for Pratt.

Sure but they might be in the Seychelle Islands around election day and blow it off.
