However, after a night of drinking, the man did just that, using a construction excavator to partially demolish his own property. Divorces can get messy, but you don’t often hear about people destroying their own houses just because their marriage fell apart. However, one marital dispute in Butler County, Pennsylvania, got so out of hand that the husband used an excavator to partially demolish his own house after hearing that his wife wanted to divorce him.----- MoMe location? DJ Doof - Monthly Trivia Event Tie-in Edition These songs are featured in my monthly classic rock trivia event tomorrow night. Here is the final question for my event tomorrow. Think you can answer it correctly? Category: The Man Behind the Microphone This British singer, songwriter, and keyboardist from Sheffield has one of the most remarkable careers in classic rock history — not because of his own fame, but because of whose band he was in at any given moment. He fronted a band in the mid-1970s and wrote and sang their only major hit, which reached #3 on the US charts. He then joined a well-known British new wave band, singing lead on their most beloved song. He later became the voice of a side project formed by a Genesis guitarist, singing the group’s biggest hit which reached #1 in the US in 1989. He also co-wrote a song recorded by the Eagles on their 2007 comeback album. Despite lending his voice to some of the most recognizable songs of three decades, most fans couldn’t pick him out of a lineup. Name this man. 'Tis the end of an odd day, and I'm yawning and ready to hit the pillow soon. The Bekins guy came by this morning to video my apartment and its furniture. They estimate about $4500 if I have them pack some of the stuff; if not, it would be less, and the actual weight could change the calculation too. Compared to loading a truck myself, even with the help of some hired labor, I think it might be worth while to let them pack certain things. Otherwise, I'm off to the eyeglass place tomorrow to see about getting some driving glasses; and the home inspection is supposed to occur on Thursday. While not first, I deserve a participation trophy for taking 5yr old granddaughter to tumbling; dealing with a possibly sick 7yr old boy less than a month post op from an appy with a headache; and fretting over the 9mo old that is sick. It had better be viral or I will sue everyone in the hospital and pediatrician who saw her today if she gets worse. I feel so bad for our sweet girl.
If it is viral their Da is in Australia and an entire day's flight away. They have now gotten sick twice in six weeks the minute he is in the air. So we step in and then I get sick and the circle will go unbroken until it is. May, one of my favorite months of the year, is a total blur. Surely things will change soon. It will. Begorrah. There. OK, "fortress" critiques....
WAY too many gates for a zombie apocalypse. Way too many gates even for a good fortress. Is that supposed to be an electrified fence around the place? Looks flimsy. I guess it might slow down the first wave of zombies, but the rest of them will just walk right over all their friends. No overhangs on any of those walls or corner towers. You need something to pour down the boiling oil/gasoline/whatever. Also, on the one side it really should be right up against the water. The zombies then have to climb the bank AND the wall. (The water itself won't stop zombies. It might stop Nazgul, though, if it moves fast enough.) I'd buy it, though. If it weren't in Russia. A good sized keep would fit inside that very nicely. That IS rough! Yikes. Posted by: mnw at June 02, 2026 10:24 PM (RCjYY) ************** DIL has a remote job of importance doing something in leadership with a DC company. And juggling all this. She's who I feel bad for... and she's unflappable like our Teresa. Calm, soft spoken, and lovely. Today was their anniversary and I texted our son she deserves jewels and a spa day as he does whatever in Sydney. It is a big business bash trip and he'd better be thankful he married a sweetheart and good mother. I'd be calling him home if one more kid got sick (and she did last month but he was in DC and came home in time for our boy's appendectomy which was not the virus ripping through the rest of us).We are a very calm family. Last month we had major plumbing damage and I barely batted an eyelash when my husband told me in the midst of my imaginary cholera. Might as well burn the house down. The guys are working quickly in the basement to restore parts of walls yesterday and tomorrow and will paint as well (which is a surprise because I thought we would). This was an added special treat for hell month, the plumbing issue. So I figure we are due now for some good times. Posted by: ChristyBlinkyTheGreat at June 02, 2026 10:39 PM (WONhk) 99

We got home Wed night and I was half dead, pushing through the near cholera to visit my 95yr old mother. The first text as we got to NOLA airport was that the power was off on the farms (generator power only for fridge and lights). I told my brother: find us a hotel. He did and it was really grand with a rolling river for the kids. And AC. I am no pioneer woman with the dregs of cholera. It was restored in 2 days and we rolled with it, all ten of us gypsies from the West and FL. I was the closest to death I've been in awhile, I think. Keep calm and carry on. On the bright side I don't live in the UK. My husband and I rarely argue about anything. Today was so special he got ornery with me in the car with the tumbling grandgirl and sickish grandson. So, this is way OT for the news of the day, but I am excited.
Mom's 80th birthday is this year in October. I was trying to think of a fitting gift and then I remembered something. Before I was born, Mom and Dad exchanged cassette letters with Grandma and Grandpa in El Paso. The ones I have are all from Grandma and Grandpa. They are all dated from 1970. The tapes themselves seem to be in decent condition considering they are 5 years older than I am. I listened to them WAY back, maybe 11 or 12. The content is mostly just daily stuff from what I recall. Grandpa talking about the civil service (he was retired from the Army at the time.) Grandma talking about books and movies. My aunt is on there too as I think it would be 11 or 12 year old. I am going to try to get them restored and digitized. Does anyone have any recommendations for a reputable place that can not only convert them, but be able to repair/restore them? There are a lot of places online, but I do not want to send them to just any yahoo. Posted by: Aetius451AD at June 02, 2026 11:14 PM (bss/y) 195

Robert the Cat (TM) update.
Well, he threw up in the box he's had since before he was adopted, and it became unacceptable. (Note: he has used this box more than I have used the item that came in it.) I had another box. Coincidentally, that box also contained something yet to be used. I placed it next to the old box. And he decided the new box was the new box. I kind of think that's progress. Now, I just need to buy something else I'll never use, and make sure it is shipped in the right box. For the future. Posted by: BeckoningChasm at June 02, 2026 11:21 PM (CHHv1) 214

In 2020, Steyer unsuccessfully sought the Democratic nomination for president, spending more than $253 million on his campaign and receiving no pledged delegates before withdrawing in February 2020. In November 2025, he announced a campaign in the 2026 California gubernatorial election to succeed term-limited governor Gavin Newsom;[2] his campaign rapidly became the highest-spending in the field, surpassing $130 million by April 2026.[3]. This is California, March 5, 2024 — the Presidential Primary Election.
Steve Garvey was leading leaker Adam Schiff with 1.8 million votes. Then, just like that, his lead was cut in half. This is called a “glitch” — a phenomenon that mysteriously favors Democrats by default. In the end, Adam Schiff pulled ahead by a razor-thin margin — statistically impossible. --- I told you, the printing is going as fast as possible. The ballots will be there on time. _Trans Love Always Printing on Time, Inc. Posted by: Braenyard - some Absent Friends are more equal than others _ at June 03, 2026 12:33 AM (NgPv+) 372
