I don't think it was gout, exactly. It occurred to me it wasn't acting like gout plus I was having these weird fevers and chills. I think it was some kind of gout related infection. Got some antibiotics and that seems to have resolved the issue. Haven't had any problems for a touch over two months now.

My sister and I are going to help our aging parental units with stuff on Thursday. I've been visiting them often while I'm up in West PA. They're in their 80s and are a bit wobbly, especially Dad. Weather has been perfect so far. Cool nights, warm days. It's nice.

A brilliant scene. Probably took half a day to shoot with all the camera setups necessary. The actress who played the waitress was terrific. She once said that she based her portrayal on quite a few waitresses at roadside stops when she traveled around the country.

83 Healthcare update USA: while anything is better than the UK or Canada, the hesitation for antibiotics is unreal. Twice I could have used them WAY before they finally gave me one in the past two years for sinus stuff.

Today our 9mo old baby girl had a urine test and chest x-ray (no pneumonia) for fever and vomiting since Friday. We still don't know what is wrong with her. I suppose it could be viral. However, her urine test, if it were mine for example, would be a UTI. I guess she may have to suffer for another day for an antibiotic and the 1st culture. Wth? Cloudy, tr RBC, I forget how many WBC, +1 protein is not normal.

Granted, a small boy sneezed right in her sweet face on a plane on Wed evening, so there's that. This sweetie has been sick off and on for a month and I am going to have her for a few weeks before their next trip. We all could be dead by then.

Meanwhile there are two Mexicans cutting a large dead aspen across the street and don't seem to know what they are doing.

Not complaining, it's just how the last six weeks have gone. We should have better weeks/months ahead and send the bad karma elsewhere.

J golfs only occasionally, but he does go out on his boat a lot. And I say via con dios, see you when you get back. Because if ever there were an occasion where I needed him to do something for or with me instead of the boat, he knows darn well it’s a big thing and a rare ask on my part.

My thing is camping. Bride is not a fan. But she is absolutely fine with me heading for the hills. When our sons were kids we would camp, and she was absolutely fine with that.

Gave her command of the TV, and quiet time. After almost 38 years, I think we're cool.

UK makes a call to YouTube who shuts down all the live streams on the current protesting. This pressure comes from their year old Internet policy that allows the UK to acquire penalties (% of total revenue) from the platform for content they decipher as damaging.

Censorship...it's why things continue as they do in the UK. The UK residents are not allowed to know what's really going on in its entirety.

'Tis the end of an odd day, and I'm yawning and ready to hit the pillow soon. The Bekins guy came by this morning to video my apartment and its furniture. They estimate about $4500 if I have them pack some of the stuff; if not, it would be less, and the actual weight could change the calculation too. Compared to loading a truck myself, even with the help of some hired labor, I think it might be worth while to let them pack certain things.

Otherwise, I'm off to the eyeglass place tomorrow to see about getting some driving glasses; and the home inspection is supposed to occur on Thursday.
