“People familiar with the matter” told the Wall Street Journal that Platner’s wife, Amy Gertner, reportedly shared with an aide in August that she had found the sexually explicit messages “early in their marriage in the spring of 2025.”From what I have read, the app is heavily used by pedophiles trolling for underage partners. Does that make Platner a P3DO, well where there's smoke there's fire, n'est ce pas? This astonishing level of illegal content might appear unique, but in recent years this kind of activity has become rampant across Kik. A joint Forbes and Point Report investigation has uncovered evidence of a vast number of child exploitation cases involving the use of Kik, where some of the most appalling material is being shared and young girls and boys are being targeted for grooming. Posing as 14-year-old girls, we also discovered just how quickly predators were on the prowl and how third-party apps for sharing profiles appeared to be facilitating access to minors. And we found that Kik hasn’t even been deleting the profiles of individuals charged and convicted of child abuse offenses.Well, as I said, If the above doesn't define the typical Democrat/Leftist, well certainly this does: An adviser to socialist Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders dismissed a Nazi-inspired tattoo Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner received as a “skull and crossbones” during a panel discussion Sunday.Yup, as Fat Abert Speer Whoopi rape-rape would say, it's not Nazi-Nazi. Defend by deflection, obfuscation and gaslighting. Bad enough but Platner's wife went even lower by allowing herself to be a stooge! Amy Gertner, who married Platner in 2023, said that she was “deeply hurt” about the campaign’s former political director, whom she tipped off about the sexting, confirming the messages to the press. The video drew widespread criticism from observers who said it appeared that Platner was letting his wife take the heat for him. “It looks and sounds like a hostage video,” one X user posted. “Blink twice if you need rescuing, Amy.” The randy oyster farmer is believed to have had sexting affairs with up to a dozen women, according to reports.Yeah, she "defended" him alright! BANGOR, he hardly knew her! The other thing that absolutely is the sine qua non of Democrats/Leftists is violence and terrorism in pursuit of absolute power. Police arrested at least 20 protesters outside embattled New Jersey ICE detention center Delaney Hall Sunday night after they broke a new curfew imposed to stop the violent rallies from continuing for a third week straight, as the Department of Homeland Security vowed to show “ZERO tolerance for rioters.” . . . Several arrests were made in front of a wall disturbingly grafittied with “KILL ICE” across it. . . Chaos has engulfed the immigration detention facility in Newark since at least May 22, after top Democrat officials, including New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill, raised concerns about inhumane conditions in the facility and the lack of visitation hours.Their "concerns" were a naked signal to their Antifa and other street goons as well as braindead dupes to engage in violent attacks on the facility. More typical Democrat behavior: get others to do your dirty work by being cannon fodder for the media. Other than this, speaking of flaming wreckage in Maine, or near it... People across New England heard the sky clap back Saturday afternoon, and for a while, nobody knew why. Houses shook, windows rattled, and police departments fielded calls from worried residents. . . a natural meteor tore into the atmosphere, broke apart roughly 40 miles above northeastern Massachusetts and southeastern New Hampshire, and released energy equal to about 300 tons of TNT.. . Robert Lunsford, fireball report coordinator for the American Meteor Society (that's a job title!), described the object as roughly three feet wide. Reports reached the society from Delaware to Montreal, a huge footprint for a rock small enough to fit through many front doors. From the Associated Press:Kaboom, indeed! And thanks for all the birthday wishes. It was a good one. Have a great day,

Khanna said, But when you take away the due process, ICE basically can say that I can say to someone, you’re a violent criminal, we’re going to get rid of you, and there’s no recourse. There’s no system of law.
Ice does not need to say you are violent. A U.S. immigration officer (this includes ICE, CBP, and even sworn state and local law enforcement) must determine that the person is inadmissible to the United States based on having either: lied or misrepresented a material fact, including falsely claiming U.S. citizenship, in obtaining U.S. entry documents or admission, or entered the U.S. without a valid entry document (such as a visa or border crosser card) or travel document (such as a passport). Posted by: Thomas Bender at June 01, 2026 07:29 AM (XV/Pl) Indeed. I remember back when I still watched Fox during Trump's first campaign, they were interviewing him, and got his first wife on the phone. She gladly endorsed him, and he at least acted surprised. He seemed to have a genuine respect and even affection for his first wife, even after all the horrible things she claimed during their divorce. They seemed to be saying "when you get divorced, it's what you do". I don't think she accused him of cheating - she accused him of rape, IIRC. I don't know what went wrong with that marriage, but it's probably impossible to really find out. 121 Well, it's more than a best guess, it's the only thing that explains physical reality.
The universe is observed to be expanding in all directions from a general space-time location, if it is expanding in all directions form a single point, then ipso facto at one time, approximately 13.8B years ago, the entire physical universe was located in a single point vector of near infinate density. Posted by: "Perfessor" Squirrel at June 01, 2026 07:58 AM (gnNyN) To say "it's the only thing" is just arrogant. You could say that about any scientific theory that was later refined also. Without a time machine, you can't know whether the expansion has gone on for all time, or even started at a single point. It's just an extrapolation. Who's to say the expansion isn't some sort of illusion, that can't ultimately be explained in other ways. Where does that timeline really even come from? (Perhaps the best known observation of this distinction is in a little book called "Atlas Shrugged".) A certain amount of "science" is barely science at all. Certainly "climate science" doesn't really qualify, at least not the Global Warming theory. A lot of astronomy defies use of the scientific method. Seems to me like a lot of archeology has the same problem. It's all this junk science pushed by the scientific establishment that taints the reputation of actual real science. A Nigerian political candidate who presented himself as a 30-year-old man with dwarfism has withdrawn from the 2027 race after leaked documents reportedly showed he is actually 15. Mahmoud Sadis Buba, from Kaduna State, had recently drawn attention as an unusual young candidate for Nigeria’s House of Representatives. He identified himself as a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress and said his childlike appearance was the result of a medical condition.

Saturday's episode of The Weekend: Primetime on MS NOW pretended to present a balanced discussion between a Republican and a Democrat strategist in cowboy hats about the Texas Senate race between James Talarico and Ken Paxton.
Co-host Elise Jordan introduced one of the guests this way: “Joining us now is Mark McKinnon, former advisor to George W. Bush and John McCain… Mark, you have a long career advising Republicans in Texas.” In reality, McKinnon’s Republican credentials are extremely thin and dated. His last significant Republican work was on John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign, which he quit because he wanted Barack Obama to win, saying Obama’s election “would send a great message to the country and the world.” Posted by: SMOD at June 01, 2026 08:40 AM (RHGPo) 240

Establishment power is falling aside on both sides of the aisle and being replaced by the polar opposite as was noted above. The uniparty is losing power in favor of 2 factions that are diametrically opposed to each other, MAGA and the Communists. Bright lines are going to change some voting patterns. A lot of people might not like Trump or MAGA but they hate Communists. Some will go the other way. It's getting increasingly difficult for Democrats to pretend they are anything other than the far left anti-American party they have become. DHS
1) DHS doesn’t make the laws, Congress does. We don’t pick and choose which laws to enforce—and neither should you as a “lawmaker.” 2) It is a crime to enter the United States illegally. EVERYONE being held inside Delaney Hall broke the law. U.S. Code, Title 8, Section 1325. This is a detention center — we do not provide luxury accommodations. What we do provide are basic necessities like beds, clean water, comprehensive healthcare, and 3 meals a day until they go HOME. Posted by: SMOD at June 01, 2026 08:44 AM (RHGPo) 252

- Defend science?
Or defend the only scientists whose explanations you'll accept. Like the ones who thought JWST would show us galaxies in their earliest stages of formation. They were sure of it. And when those first images came back,,, just hand wave it away with 'galaxies must have started forming much earlier than we thought.' Ignore that guy over there that got it correct,,, and predicted it,,, and predicted what our hand waving, rescue mechanism would be. https://tinyurl.com/yt7yn475 Posted by: TeeJ at June 01, 2026 08:47 AM (eisI8) Posted by: rickb223 at June 01, 2026 08:47 AM (YYKrY) 256

------ I've been roundly criticized for demanding a third party. But just as with the Whigs and Republicans, one must die if the other rises, and I think there's a strong likelihood we would end up with two new parties if the right splinters, that replace the Dems and GOP both. 218 a lot of modern physics sounds like nonsense to me
no one seems to be able to say 'we don't know' Posted by: Don Black at June 01, 2026 08:30 AM (ZxPkt) Lately I've been trying to make sense out of Maxwell's Equations, which seem to be overcomplicated, as far as natural laws go. I have to wonder if there isn't a better way to look at it that comes up with the same result, only makes more sense, and gives additional insight. The whole idea of a magnetic field seems artificial to me. There's no such thing as a "magnetic particle" - it's just part of what happens with electric particles. I have to wonder if something similar could be worked out for gravity, where some additional funky thing happens with time-varying and moving matter. Maybe such an expansion of gravity would explain anti-gravity (which sounds like it might be real). Then again, gravity was explained away by bending all of Creation around, as per Relativity. Some people still complain about that not making sense, BTW, despite what it manages to explain. Just because a theory "works" it doesn't necessarily mean it's the best and most insightful way of explaining things. Posted by: MrExcitement at June 01, 2026 08:48 AM (ovdkm) 261

SST = Steady State Theory proposed by Fred Hoyle back in the 40s. IIRC it postulated that the universe had no beginning, was constantly expanding with a fixed mass density. Leads to some nonsense when you work out the math
