Indoor football doesn't bother me as much as indoor baseball. Not really a fan of either sport anymore - for various reasons.

Completely OT - tomorrow I have a CT Scan (routine) scheduled. Even though all of my numbers are "good" right now, I still get "scanxiety" every time I go in for one of these.
Fortunately, I will be seeing my oncology surgeon tomorrow afternoon, and he will already have the results to discuss with me, so I won't have to wait to know what's happening.
Anyway, prayers and good thoughts would be appreciated 😊

If around here is any indication....small towns are going all in. The nearest town to me is doing fireworks as usual, but added a parade through town, and a two day street fair. Local Volunteer fire company loves stuff like this. They'll cover their trucks in flags and ride around town blowing the sirens and throwing out candy to the kids that come out to see them.
I think that's where you will see most of the celebrating. Red state (and Blue state) rural areas who still possess their faculties.

Not sure, but I do know it's north of 30 bucks. But, I am close to being eligible for the Old Timer one-time fee of 60 bucks until you die fee.
I think your senior pass would work.
I just remember when entering Yellowstone was 3 bucks. And if you went via Cooke City, the Northeast gate was often empty. I loved growing up in Cody, Wyoming.

In France, nude beaches are pretty much de rigueur from what I saw. Mostly inhabited by the young and attractive, in my observation.
I couldn't do as much gaping and learing (h/t MN Learing Center) as I wanted, though, bc I was with someone.

My dad, right after the parade in Brooklyn MI, hauled my family into the unknown West. I was six. My brother 3 1/2. To this day we don't know why. I suspect black labeling by the unions.
We landed in Orem UT for a year and then Carson City NV.
I remember the parade being a huge deal. The fireworks were made in my grandfathers bunker. The display was awesome. I never got to see such a spectical again having moved to a place where a display like that would burn down everything.

From a car, no. There are pretty big barriers cutting off the view of the dam from the bridge. It's an antiterrorism measure. Somebody wargamed it and determined that a van with the side doors open could put a good sized rocket into the dam. As a side benefit, it keeps crashes down caused by rubbernecking. The average speed across that bridge is about 70.
However, there are parking lots where you can walk to places with a good view of the dam.

Semiquincentennial meaning of half of five is straightforward. Then there's sestercentennial, with "sester" meaning 2 1/2.
But then another possibility is "bisesquicentennial". Now, bi- means 2. But sesqui means 1 1/2 (I think).
