Mamdani announced that he was going to seize rental properties from landlords who have not maintained them properly, and hand over ownership not to the city government, but to supposedly impartial players and fair dealers such as “community land trusts” and “non-profits.” New York City Council member Vickie Paladino, one of Mamdani’s most vociferous and insightful critics, explains: “The properties will then be turned over to nonprofits. This is no small detail. This is in fact the whole point. The idea here is to build up Zohran’s DSA-connected nonprofits with a multibillion-dollar portfolio of hard assets — New York City real estate. This portfolio could theoretically reach into the hundreds of billions or even the trillions, depending on how aggressive they get. Now these highly political nonprofits would become the new land barons of New York, complete with all the political clout, leverage, and reach that goes along with it. It would be a true nightmare scenario.” ...Mamdani, however, appears to be both a convinced Marxist and a devout Muslim. There is no real contradiction here; certainly Karl Marx himself made atheism a cornerstone of his secular religion, but Communism has always found a ready partner in Islam. This is because they have a deep kinship: both are authoritarian, totalitarian systems that impose draconian punishments for dissidents. Both deny the freedom of speech and other indispensable elements of a free society. Also, once his Marxist comrades control New York City’s housing market, who will get the housing? Not political undesirables, i.e., patriots. Instead, Muslim migrants, including an unknowable number of criminals and jihadis, and others who will help the leftist/Islamic alliance stay in power, will receive preferment. Sadly I still have a number of friends, and two who are so insufferably liberal that I consider them now merely acquaintances. They live in a very expensive upper west side Co-op and I hate to wish it upon them but I do hope they get what they vote for good and hard. Maybe then they'll wake up, but considering they voted for Dinkins and DeBolshevik while denigrating anything and everything even slightly to the right of even Ed Koch, well so be it. And now I'm picturing the scene from Dr. Zhivago where the Bolshvik apparatchiks are confiscating the wealthy Ralph Richardson's home and moving scores of bedraggled poor people in, "In the name of the people." of course he protests that "He is one of the people," and is quickly silenced by Omar Sharif before Tom Courtenay can drag the old fool out and shoot him as a counter-revolutionary. All that said, it likely won't be long before one or all of President Trump's properties will be condemned, and then seized and handed over to Mamdani's commie cronies in the name of social justice, I assume at or not long after 12:01:00 on 1/21/29, if Mamdani is still mayor or one of his cronies succeeds him. On a not unrelated note, just north of the border in Canada, also well on the way to Islamo/Communist control, we had this disturbing story... "Canadian Man Allegedly Put To Death After Fast Food Parking Lot Bowel Assessment" Yes, you read that right gentle reader... A doctor in Ontario, Canada, allegedly evaluated a man for assisted death outside a Tim Hortons and, months later, drove him to the building where he died. The patient was 45-year-old Thomas Dillon, who lived with Crohn’s disease along with mental illness and addiction, according to the National Post, citing The Globe and Mail, the Canadian newspaper that first reported the case and identified Dillon as the subject of one complaint. A coroner’s review of an anonymized 2024 case the reporting connects to Dillon described a man who battled addiction, struggled to keep a job, found relationships difficult and leaned on family for housing and money. Dr. James MacLean and a second clinician allegedly approved Dillon for assisted death under Track 2, a category for people whose deaths are not near but who endure intolerable suffering from a serious, untreatable condition. (RELATED: Canada Reportedly Set To Surpass 100,000 Assisted Suicides) MacLean allegedly ran the eligibility check outside the coffee shop on June 27, 2023, and traded dozens of texts with Dillon as they planned the death, according to The Globe and Mail. On Jan. 29, 2024, the two met again at the restaurant, and MacLean drove him to an industrial site where the dead are prepared for funeral homes. Dillon’s family told the outlet his wish to die came from mental illness, not the bowel disease. In a separate complaint, MacLean allegedly failed to provide one of three required drugs during an assisted death, the National Post reported. After he declared the patient dead and left the residence, the man started breathing again on his own. MacLean came back and finished the procedure, according to the Globe and Mail. A reviewer determined MacLean fell short of professional standards in five of 20 files examined, the National Post reported. The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) issued a verbal caution and ordered six months of clinical supervision, chart audits and remedial training. He keeps his license and can still perform assisted deaths. It won't be long before Crohn's disease is joined by Islamophobia and "hate speech" as a justification for doctors to euthanize people the state deems as a threat to themselves and to THE PEOPLE So, the party of "Looters and Shooters" as Ace labeled them. Well, there's looting and shooting and then there's the double dose of nightmare fuel highlighted above. Have a good day.

Even the bad old times of the 70s and 80s were Halcyon days compared to today with what has happened and what is yet to happen thanks to what my former neighbors and sadly even some old friends have done by voting for their own destruction The New Yorkers of today are not the New Yorkers of those years. I think some 40% are foreign born. And those foreign born are not the foreign born of a century ago. They have no interest in assimilating. Every Leftist social/political paranoia, panic and slander that the Left has incited in the last century (over-population, acid rain, global warming, an imminent Born-Again theocracy, Nixon-Reagan-Bush-Trump-derangement syndromes) has proved nonsensical and empty.
On the other hand, almost every alarm conservatives have raised about the social damages caused by the Left's growing political and cultural hegemony (the slippery slope of gay marriage, feminism, single-fatherhood, unfettered immigration, the welfare culture) has proved 100% correct. Mamdani's property grab was advertised during his campaign. Shortly after him taking office one of his staffers, a young, weird broad posted a video where she discussed "property ownership" as something that needed to be abolished. Or something to that effect.
His administration floated something this past winter about it and it got shot down. This is just a revision of the original plan. If it passes, and I've no idea if it will, NYC is cooked. In a not-so different time and age, Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) would still be considered one of the good guys: As a pro-life conservative who voted with President Donald Trump 99.2% of the time, just a generation earlier, he would’ve been lauded as one of our most staunchly conservative, reliably Republican senators.
Cornyn's 99.2% includes: - Securing the border? - Introducing a bill which hasn't even passed the Senate? - Opposed sanctuary city policies (without, of course, actually getting laws passed to do anything about them)? - But, most importantly, just stating that the number is 99.2% Posted by: I used to have a different nic at May 28, 2026 07:49 AM (ExV1e) 36

Zohran Mamdani has collected $9m in unpaid fines from Amazon, which has been violating the city's clean air laws by leaving engines running on its parked vehicles.
9m is a ludicrously small amount in fines for a trillion dollar company. I'm glad Mr. Mayor is collecting the fees for the city (which will surely be used for good), but I just feel the fines should be much more. Meh - $9mil here, $9mil there. Doesn’t take much before it’s more cost effective for Amazon to just change its policies. And lets not forget that Amazon could easily afford to switch to electric vehicles that don't idle in a second. We need more of this! I pray we get a Mamdani level candidate in 2028. Please don’t be Gavin Newsom. Maybe Mamdani can run in 2036? Not born on US soil. And changing those rules leaves it open for Elon to run. 'Premature and disconnected': Gulf states see Trump Abraham Accords demand as empty bargaining chip
ByDANIELLE GREYMAN-KENNARD MAY 28, 2026 13:47 Gulf states are likely not taking US President Donald Trump’s demand that they join the Abraham Accords seriously, viewing such a demand as “premature and disconnected,” two experts on the region told The Jerusalem Post this week. ===== I said literally the same thing yesterday. For the life of me, I cannot understand why Bandar Abbas hasn't been made a smoking heap of rubble. Forget "surgical strikes" on key radar facilities and launch platforms there. It's hard not to get sad when I see old movies on TCM showing NYC back in its day. Not so much the seedy days of the 70s, and there was even the hilarious depiction of crime and garbage in The Out-of-Towners in the 60s, but it was still a slice of America and part of "us" as a country. Those days are very dead, and I don't ever see a revival coming to restore what once was or what could be again.

As for MAID, back in 2024 the Canadian parliament passed legislation delaying until March 2027 implementation of provisions that will allow mental illness as a singular reason to obtain it. The Tim Hortons case is another example of family members trying to prevent someone who had mental illness using MAID to end his life because he had something else which the doctor used to qualify him. If Parliament doesn't delay again, it'll get even worse next year.

I think people like Hoffman, who has more money than God and zero common sense uses his wealth not necessarily to buy things. He buys influence. He pays people to push narratives or policies that he likes.
It's an obsession. Hoffman wanted to take a dig at Trump via the Epstein files, but didn't want to expose himself in the process. FRB NY continues to print garbage sold as research. They released a paper stating that food insecurity has increased. It first used the pandemic as a basis. Then is used SNAP as its basis with absolutely no adjustments for fraud. Then it uses the FRB SCE at a primary basis for its finding. That survey is not entirely composed of US citizens.
So- the government is cutting fraud and stopping non us citizens from collecting benefits they are not entitled too. But food insecurity is increasing. Got it. Posted by: Vengeance at May 28, 2026 08:59 AM (E/qck) 162

Jill Biden has revealed in a new interview that she thought her husband Joe was “having a stroke” during his infamous 2024 debate with Donald Trump.
================== "Never before or since" has he acted that way, says Jill. To us, an obvious lie. So why say it, and why now? Because she is going to claim her husband was drugged, and not by his staffers in the "usual way" but instead most probably by Trump people. Cardinal Dolan personally asked Hochul on a private meeting to not sign the assisted suicide law in NY. There was no real political risk to her as it wasn’t being pushed by anyone except the corrupt, left wing legislature.
Hochul, who likes to call herself a Catholic, but has long since abandoned its basic teachings and the Gospels, so she isn’t, signed it anyway. Just like her abortion up until, and after birth with no penalties because she removed them from the law, it’s going to end badly in a campaign of death. A Fairbanks man was having a shower on a -60 F day, and decided to crank one out while he's in there. Just then a delivery driver rings his doorbell and leaves the expensive package he's been waiting for. He can't leave it out there... too many porch pirates in the neighborhood. He jumps out of the shower and peeks out the window. No one in sight. Good. He steps out on the porch and instantly freezes solid, boner and all. After a while, three old ladies come walking down the street and see the spectacle. The first one had a stroke. The second one had a stroke. The third one said "I'm not touching that thing." Just three months and 13 days until the Mamdani administration manages the 9/11 remembrance.

Oh and combining MAID with socialized healthcare is insane - you are creating a scenario where the government is financially incentivized to kill people

Good morning, all, and thanks, J.J.
"Mamdani announced that he was going to seize rental properties from landlords who have not maintained them properly, and hand over ownership not to the city government, but to supposedly impartial players and fair dealers such as “community land trusts” and “non-profits.” All press and great numbers of eyes are intentionally drawn to Mamdani. He distracts from the bigger picture of what's going on ALL AROUND THE U.S. He's 'modern' and the face of nice "Democratic Socialism." (Emphasis mine.) >ABC News, Some compare Democratic socialism to communism. Here's how the movements differ NYC Mayor-elect Zohran Mandani's win drew focus to the political ideology. Nov. '25 "...Michael Kazin, a history professor at Georgetown University, told ABC News. "Democratic socialists are willing to have themselves voted out of power. They believe that once you have a democratic socialist society, people will like that society, but if they don't want to keep it, then they can go back to a more capitalist society." ABC News, Some compare Democratic socialism to communism. Do you believe that? folk are going to be swayed by all of the bills and rhetoric re: "Tax the Billionaires," if not by the mid-terms, definitely by the next Presidential election. And proposed tax code changes could be huge - and very socialist (They detest One Big Beautiful Bill. Look at all of the tax the rich bills' backers from unions to Indivisible, Oxfam, American Friends Service Committee, etc.)
March 2, News: Sanders and Khanna Introduce Legislation to Tax Billionaire Wealth and Invest in Working Families, the Make Billionaires Pay Their Fair Share Act. March 26, Press Release: Jaypal, Warren, Boyle, 45+ Lawmakers Renew Push for Wealth tax on Ultra-Millionaires and Billionaires. It would, among other things, "level the playing field and narrow the racial wealth gap." April 15, Press Release: Congresswoman Delia c. Ramirez (IL-03) and Senator Edward J. Markey (D-Mass) today announced the bicameral introduction of their Equal Tax Act, legislation that make the tax code more equitable. The legislation taxes investment income at the same rate as labor income. The bill also closes other common loopholes used by the wealthy to avoid paying their fair share. Medicare for all; more money poured into the mysterious Medicaid Home Healthcare and daycare industries; dental, vision and hearing benefits galore (yeah, Bass just following the script); minimum teachers' salaries and movement toward a universal income; no taxes expanded to cover even more 'residents,' etc.
>Realtor dot com - News & Insights 'Jeff Bezos’ Radical Zero-Tax Proposal Could Be a Lifeline for First-Time Buyers—but There’s a Catch,' May 25, 2026 But Bezos' proposals could NEVER be enough "for working families." OTOH how can the "real billionaires" and lofty millionaires be captured by the tax code? After all - Wages/Salaries: Often modest, as many founders take nominal salaries (e.g., $1) and receive their compensation in equity. Dividends & Interest: Payouts from stocks they own. Realized Capital Gains: Profits made only when they actually sell an asset for more than they paid for it. Plus, Core Tax Code Loopholes: Unrealized Gains and "Buy, Borrow, Die" Strategy --- Coming someday, somehow. (Hell, some on this blog are drawn to socialist proposals like moths to flame.) And then, huge changes in/to U.S. Defense programs too. -- Good day 🤗 Posted by: L - No nic, another fine day at May 28, 2026 10:50 AM (NFX2v) 243
