Demented Cane-Shaking Sasquatch Al Green Loses His Primary Hugely

Al Green is a noted crusader for the rights of indigenous cavemen.

He carries what he says is a Magic Stick that allows him to poke ghosts in the belly when they get to hollerin' and actin' the fool.

cavemansticksmaller.jpg

Texas redrew its congressional map -- you might have heard. Two Democrat incumbents challenged each other for one of the few remaining blue districts, and Democrats chose the one who is not cursed by the Mark of the Werewolf.

Christian Menefee defeats longtime Houston Rep. Al Green in Texas' new 18th Congressional District

Green's loss means the Texas House delegation is losing one of its most senior members, who served more than 20 years in Congress.

Green, who has represented the 9th Congressional District since 2005, has been a vocal opponent to President Donald Trump's policies in Washington and a fixture on the Houston political scene. Green repeatedly and unsuccessfully filed articles of impeachment for Trump during the president's first and second terms. He was also removed from the State of the Union earlier this year after unfurling a protest sign. He had vowed to continue fighting Trump's agenda if reelected and leaned on his experience, pitching himself as the candidate has been doing the job.

Menefee will face the GOP nominee Ronald Dwayne Whitfield. Whitfield faces an uphill battle as the district is deep blue; Kamala Harris would have carried the new district by 55 points.

They packed as many Democrats as possible into a few districts.

But there are fewer blue districts now.

Trump had thoughts:

Congratulations to the Dumocrat Party! Al Green, one of the most mentally deficient Congressmen in the history of our Country, has lost, in a landslide, his seat in Congress -- But I will miss that lunatic not screaming and violently waving his cane at me during my next State of the Union Speech.

It's a bad day for senile cavemen, which means it's a good day for more fully-formed humans.

Green is also 78 years old. There's something to be said for respecting a career and telling the man, "It's been real."

That's what I thought when the news said Green was **40+** years older than Menefee. Why are you running?? Let the new guard take the reins. I'm sick of this Diane Feinstein bullshit.

Hell, the DOJ intentionally tanked the lawsuits against Trump because the DOJ is so infested with Republicans that there was no way a Democrat could exert control over the independent department.

And now they show that they can't even fight at the state level? Seriously, we could have gotten a 17-0 Illinois map, but Pritzker is just scared of seeming to be too combative because he wants to appeal to moderates for a presidential run.

Although I notice that the ice riots and various other demonstrations of the first year seem to have died down. Either the election or their burn rate of cash is enormous.

Well, yeah, that's the graft.

They maintained the fed grant to political PAC pipeline that Obama and Holder had really started.

This is why the Vance Task Force against Fraud, which has stopped, literally, a quarter of a trillion dollars, is a big, if deeply unappreciated, thing.

But leftists don't care about the ecosystem that sustains them because it's invisible. They care about policy wins that they've been promised for decades.

Yes, a longtime incumbent who held his seat for 20 years got only 30% of the vote.

What is going on here? I think it's more than just the redistricting. Blue is blue. We often talk about how the end of USAID and related slush funds, and the tightening of voting controls, will affect the Dumocrap-GOP races.

But it also affects the intra-Dumocrap races too. I think that's what happened here. The old guard counted on piles of cheap money and loose vote controls to keep slithering back into their seats. No more.

Well, my point is largely about how demoralized they are.

So, the surface, that which animates them, is the policy stuff that they see no advancement on while Republicans get visible gains at the state level with redistricting (the lack of passage of the SAVE act which 3/4 of their own party supports seems weirdly absent, I dunno), and they see failure.

But then, in addition, the ecosystem is being dismantled.

The ecosystem is invisible to them, so they largely just see it in broader economic terms ("the economy sucks because my job got lost") but the real demoralizing aspect is the combination.

"The economy sucks so Republicans should be losing, but Republicans aren't losing."

——-

There is a “gatekeeper” or winnowing quality to their selection process, that has been going on for many years.

Successful, rational decent individuals Need Not Apply. They have narrowed their acceptable viewpoints to a vanishingly small subset of whacked out beliefs. After many years, this is what we got.

One would be forgiven, if one did not know better, to think that they are ALL crazy as loon. This is not by accident, they WANT the crazy.

Remember at the core, the radical “burn it all down” contingent won the battles of the 1960s and 1970s. The Weathermen, the Black panthers, the Earth first.

Biden and Pelosi were the new wave politicians that swept in the early 1970s, in a sense replacing Moynihan and “Scoop”’Jackson or Hubert Humphrey.

Now the young radicals are tired of waiting for these fossils to get out of the way. You think things are fucked up now, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. Incompetence is one thing. Corruption is one thing.

As we’ve seen, this latest batch of politicos are a deadly combination of corrupt AND incompetent. And they are belligerently ignorant.

But this massive hole in patronage that's suddenly developed is going to have some kind of effect.

If 1% of the quarter trillion that Vance has stopped since the start of the task force was going back into Democrat pockets, that's $2.5 billion to candidates, PACs, and Super PACs, not to mention the generalized ability to foster support by having people rely on the idea of the Democrat Party to just live.

The polls you are seeing right now, when NOT straight up push polls, are built on the Dems having billions collected from Uncle Sugar to pay for fraud and votes.

So the guy that went to vote because you offered him $20 in 2024, will he turn out in 2026 when you don't have money to pay him?

And the mule that's filling out a hundred ballots from dead people for you...is he going to do it when you don't give him a grand?

Right, the seeds of its inevitable downfall were sown by its very success. Institutions inevitably become hidebound and unable to change with the times.

In 1979 say, nobody questioned the absolute power of the media based in New York. The television news broadcast outlets, the New York Times, et al.

Newspapers, magazines, the dead tree model of news is Dead.

But even the online internet version is a walking sucking chest wound. They became complacent and didn’t think they had to change. They had a 99% monopoly, and institutional government support, and laundered money. What could go wrong??

China is actually the best case we have of what I am talking about. They are STILL financed by our success because we gave them all our industry. If that had not happened, they might still have gone the fascist route (corporate communism) but I doubt they would have been anywhere near as effective/successful because then they would have been having to compete with our homegrown good domestically. (Assuming we had done something like Japan has done and held on to our own industry.)

- minority-majority districts stealing seats in Republican states

220 so funny...when we moved into our last house in Houston we had Tom DeLay. DeLay didn't run again when his district got sliced up and that gave us Al Green.

I destroyed his event to introduce his campaign to ObamaCare at the "Power Center" in SW Houston.

The first hour had canned questions from obvious plants. Then he opened it up and pulled names out of the hat from people that had questions. He picked white boy Leon and that was all it took. He blew up at my question and the several hundred purple shirts from the SCEIU took over and stopped it. Fun times.

One of the pundits on X (data republican) believes there are currently around 30 - 40 CIA assets worming their way into the federal government and state governments.

The CIA's principle purpose is to overthrow governments when they're not instigating rebellions or assassinating people.

Former President Joe Biden has filed a lawsuit against the Justice Department seeking to block the release of files related to interviews he conducted with a biographer that later became a central part of a special counsel investigation into his handling of classified documents.

Biden's lawsuit filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia seeks to block the Justice Department from releasing about 70 hours of audio files and transcripts to the House Judiciary Committee from interviews with ghostwriter Mark Zwonitzer that were used for his 2017 memoir "Promise Me, Dad." The interviews were conducted in 2016 and 2017.
