Buying a new car today. Since I'm sick, did all negotiating on text yesterday and today til bottom line agreement. Then, I sent the spouse for testdrive and paperwork with our favorite former minor league ballplayer sales guy. Spouse comes back, picks me up, I sign papers outside at the dealer for 5 minutes (so no one else gets sick) and come home. Spouse should be home with the car in an hour.
This is the way to buy a car from a dealer. I now love this dealer. Finally replaced the 2nd of the wrecked cars from last fall. Posted by: Nova Local at May 25, 2026 12:35 PM (tOcjL) 17
“For more than three years, many of us have been engaging almost daily with city officials, law enforcement, SDOT, and other local agencies to find both immediate and long-term solutions,” the letter read. “Homes have been hit by gunfire, narrowly missing children. Our military veterans, thinking they’d found a peaceful neighborhood, are now suffering from PTSD.”
Three years huh? What happened back then? Posted by: Aetius451AD at May 25, 2026 12:35 PM (bss/y) 18

Posted by: Piper at May 25, 2026 12:36 PM (p4NUW) Another new Suburau Imprezza. 2026 model. Now, it's a sport. Has a few more safety features and bells and whistles than last year's (sunroof - fine - if it's the cheapest on the lot). $27.7K out the door with tax, titles, fees, everything included. I asked for something new at $27K...and we got to that car and that number, which was fine. It's another perfect car for the spouse and college kid (and the learning to drive 3rd). We don't drive these much, but we do need the 3-5 miles/day. Posted by: Nova Local at May 25, 2026 12:40 PM (tOcjL) 21

In part, ‘Passchendaele’ was not only an episode in the history of the First World War it became a concept, an international symbol of the great futility of the violence of war in its most horrific form. It was at this location where in 1917 almost 600,000 soldiers perished for a movement of the frontline of only a few kilometers. She probably would have kept it but the our local BMW dealer was not very nice to her after she had an electrical issue so she ended up trading it when the lease was up.
