What an exceptional painting honoring Mary for a lifetime of acceptance and obedience. Even here, she is accepting her honored place, not as a right but once again as the will of Heaven. The Trinity is present, the music of heaven is playing and the assembled angelic host is in attendance. The pain she faced at the crucifixion is erased in glory.
The painting is not subtle, it is explicit. I can see how the style and colors helped establish what became the Baroque style. I was surprised that Carracci didn't only do religious scenes but scenes of everyday life: a butcher shop circa 1590, a man at supper, and landscapes. I'm surprised I hadn't known of his work before. IPCC Retires Its Most Implausible Global Warming Scenarios

But ultimately, scientists cited data and argued that the push towards renewable energies made that scenario less likely.
Those same studies claimed massive reductions in fossil fuel use were required to stop those projections. Those reductions never happened. There was a decrease in the rate of increase of western nations, but China went balls to the wall on building coal plants. And another point, occasionally there were moderates that argued we needed smaller reductions and the problems from GW while real where much smaller then claimed - every single one of these people were called lying liars being paid by Exxon by the Global Warmists. But think about the climate change scam:
30+ years ago they trotted out their computer models. Modeled on computers that'd be, maybe, a good cell phone today. But, they demanded all of society be re-ordered, trillions of costs in regulations and laws, freedoms and rights curtailed, based on those models. And, after 30 years of data and 30 years of computing power increases--with not one model confirmed: They still stand by the original models. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome."
