State charges are not precluded by any federal pardon. Same thing with litigation. Fauci acted ultra vires outside the law governing his position and thus can be made penniless from personal liability for the deaths. I think going into the emails, comms, and co conspirators, if Trump and DoJ really want to stop future iterations of this, those can be handed on a silver salver to state officials that are sympathetic to charging not only Fauci, but Pfizer and Moderna executives as well.

One of my issues with all of this is the public health professionals, mostly politicians who made it through medical school but never actually treated anyone. I think they had no part in the initial cover-up. But they did try to impose some sort of knee-jerk automatic response in the general public that we HAD to do whatever they commanded, in the name of public health, OR ELSE! The shots are effective, 94%, lie, they last forever, lie, there are no side-effects, lie, social distancing is effective, lie, any mask was effective, lie, plexi-glass shields were effective, actually made things worse. I think they have permanently destroyed any faith people may have had in them. Which will likely tarnish others who actually follow the science and are genuinely trying to help.

This was said as a good thing and is a good thing, b/c he knows I press him for good treatment, but he also doesn't have to waste his precious time explaining the obvious about my cancer and treatment to me. So, I can tell him what matters and he can do the same.
Now on year 6 of a cancer that should have killed me in 2-5 and not going anywhere soon...although new treatment coming this summer, so back in the hurry up and test everything phase and get plans and insurance approvals done...

Anyway, they're still not sure of what it is but said they could do surgery for carpal tunnel... When asked if they thought he had that they said no.... Word around the State House is Governor McMaster may be calling lawmakers back for a Special Session to redraw South Carolina’s congressional map.
Nothing official yet. But is now considered more of a possibility than before.

My SIL is going through that right now... He has some sort of nerve damage in his hand/arm from repetitive movement at work. He's been through every hoop.... You have to get okaed for all of them... Anyway, they're still not sure of what it is but said they could do surgery for carpal tunnel... When asked if they thought he had that they said no.... Still going back and fourth...Not gonna get surgery for something he doesn't have.. It was just the easy way out for them...

I have a theory on what Nolan is doing with The Odyssey.
I don't know if anyone saw it, but there was an in-theater only teaser last Christmas. In it, Menelaus invites tales of Odysseus to be told.
We've also found out that Travis Scott is in the film, and the one photo of him from the movie is him obviously in Ithaca.
The Odyssey was also told by Homer orally, meaning it's part of the oral tradition.
So...the story of Odysseus is going to be told by the people in Ithaca as they wait for Penelope to tell them who she's going to marry. And Scott will tell of the end of the Trojan War when Helen was there.
And because Scott is black, his telling of Helen will be black.
If that's the case, I think it's a clever way to get in diversity hires and actually make it make sense.

Georgia is one of them but Georgia left in the part in their Bill of Rights that protection of property is the highest duty of the state. Straight from Locke (and T.R.R. Cobb who drafted it.)

Also, if Pluto is excluded for 'not clearing its orbit' then Neptune should be excluded for the same reason.

I have a relative who married into my family who grew up in China and returns regularly to visit family. She said the attitude of the people is different. Over 700 protests in the outer provinces in the last year. That's up 70% from the previous year. Over 300k riot police hired by Beijing in the last 12 months. Each protest includes buckets of rice that they throw at the armed police. It's an old proverbial act that is used to "expel evil." That's a pretty bold statement from the serfs. My guess is China is in dire straights, and risk taking is all they have left. I don't expect China to be recognizable five years from now.

Anarchy is not good in a country with nukes, missiles, and all other sorts of nasty stuff that warlordism might use. My guess is a military dictatorship just like the IRGC. No one in China believes in Chinese Communism anymore just like no one in Iran believes in the Mullahs, so the mask comes off at that point to simply rule by force only. No prettifying it.

Ours is solvable. Inflating the debt away and if necessary defaulting on foreign owners of that debt. Will have really bad consequences but doable. China's is estimated at least 200-300 percent of GDP when considering local and government owned companies. It takes extreme measures to correct that especially as it is absent foreign ownership of that debt. It means massive austerity across the board of generations that touched the peak in std. of living and now are suffering the downslide.
That is tougher to survive as a regime than somewhere like North Korea where the poor peasantry have never risen up in living standards in the first place.
It will take force to do that austerity and then anything can happen.

I was the only white person there. Most of the time, there's no issue, everyone gets along. Today, however, they were playing the local hip-hop station on the radio. About 5-6 years ago, the ChiCom Navy boosted the power of their political officers on their ships overnight. To the point where a ship captain had to get EVERY order countersigned by the political officer, including things like maneuver commands. Want to make left full rudder to avoid running the ship into the beach? Make sure that the commissar isn't off the bridge taking a piss.
It got bad enough that the US Navy sent a warning bulletin to every ship, warning them about the changes and the expectation that Chinese actions would take longer because of the need for commissar approval.
