Keir Starmer Vows to Remain in Office for Ten Years, Double Downs on Endless Illegal Immigration, Calls Immigration Reformers "Dangerous" and Warns They Are Taking the UK Down a "Dark Path"

Is he insane?

Keir Starmer: I want 10 years in No 10 and will fight my challengers

The prime minister sets out his project of 'renewal', which includes a scheme to open up Europe for young people, admits Labour needs to act on its election drubbing, and questions donations to Reform and Nigel Farage

Keir Starmer has said he wants a decade in Downing Street and will fight anyone who challenges him for the Labour leadership.

The prime minister described his government as a "10-year project of renewal". Asked whether he would definitely lead his party into the next general election and serve a full second term, he said: "Yes, I will."

...

In his interview, Starmer also pledged to put Europe at the heart of his premiership.

He revealed that the government is close to agreeing the terms of a youth mobility scheme with the European Union.

Oh great, more Migrant Youths. Just what the UK voters were hoping for!

Under the plan, which is expected to be up and running by 2027, Britons under 30 will be able to live or work in the EU. Young Europeans will also be allowed to come to the UK, with the number capped at "tens of thousands" a year. The new "youth experience visa" is set to give 18 to 30-year-olds the right to base themselves abroad for two to three years.

...

But the prime minister said a deal would be unveiled before the summer. "Brexit has held back our young people," he said. "They should be free to work, study, travel in European countries, just as I was able to when I was growing up. That has been snatched away from young people because of Brexit. I'm not going to let Brexit stand in the way of their opportunities."

Note that Queer Starmer pretended to favor Brexit in order to Con the Conservative Rubes -- pissed off by the "Conservatives'" unwillingness to ever honor the "exit" part of Brexit -- into voting for him.

Three Labour MPs have resigned and 55 Labour MPs have called for Starmer's resignation or at least a timeline for his departure.

He's refusing.

..

But the Labour leader was defiant in response to calls for him to quit and made clear he would not stand aside if MPs triggered a leadership contest. "I'm not going to walk away from the job I was elected to do in July 2024," he said. "I'm not going to plunge the country into chaos."

Starmer is also vowing that the Fake Conservative Party plunged the UK into "chaos" by repeatedly tossing out unpopular PMs, and says that Labour must not do that.

That is, Labour must keep him and his Sketch Foreign Male Model Entaglements at No. 10 Dowining Street.

Ministerial aides are resigning to pressure him to resign:

That was followed by a near constant soundtrack of Labour MPs, one after another, publicly calling for him to go, sooner or later.

And by teatime, the most significant of those - the resignation of ministerial aides, from the lowest rung of the government - saying they too had lost faith in their leader.

One of them, Joe Morris, was the parliamentary private secretary to Wes Streeting, the Health Secretary not short of prime ministerial ambition. What might Streeting do next?

...

Naushabah Khan says she has resigned as parliamentary private secretary (PPS) to the Cabinet Office as she calls for new Labour leadership.

Khan, who is MP for Gillingham and Rainham, says she has always put her constituents interests first, and that is why she has made the "difficult decision to resign".

"We need a clear change of direction now and no game playing," she says, adding that a Labour government "can and will rise to meet the moment if we act now".

"I am calling for new leadership, so that we can rebuild trust and deliver the better future that the British people voted for," she writes.
Starmer 'no longer has trust of the public,' says ministerial aide Joe

...

As Labour MPs call for Starmer to go, there is a feeling of momentum that the pace is quickening, that more and more names are being made public.

There is plenty of talk here tonight that there is plenty more to follow.

So, 55 Labour MPs and counting saying the prime minister should go or set a timetable to go.

If that number continues to remorselessly tick up, as it has been doing in the last few minutes and hours, it won't be sustainable in all likelihood.

There will be demands for the prime minister to say something, do something and respond to a party that increasingly is in open revolt.

Starmer insists he must remain PM to safeguard the "diverse" country Labour (and the treacherous Tories) have created, against the wishes of native Britons.

He also brags about refusing entry into the country to anyone who speaks against his replacement agenda:

He lucked into a massive parliamentary majority with the same vote share his party had in a blowout loss five years earlier, and then he just spends his time looking like a deer in the headlights while Ukrainian rentboys firebomb his homes and cars. It's a story that will be laughed about centuries from now.

A leadership vote would probably be total chaos between Islamists, wannabe Greens, old-school Labour, and feminists.

It's why there's no effort to do it.

It's much more likely that a couple subgroups of Labour decide that it's better to align with the CP on a no confidence vote than it is to fail at a leadership vote that could go to another faction.

Hence...inertia.

If immigration were reversed Britain would become more like it was in say the 1990s. Is that...a dark time?

And that's the "extreme" example, realistically some minor protections on immigration still leave the country with millions of immigrants and an increasing percentage of them.

This is highlighted by the simultaneous self-destruction of the Labour Party which would contradict an effort to hold onto power as a motivation.

Here's an outlandish theory for you to chew and, likely, spit out. What if a rogue Islamic nation was able to secure a Dirty Bomb (or a biological agent) and place it within a country like the UK. Their demands are simply to allow unchecked immigration. A "silent" invasion. Hell, the Muslims not only recognize the concept. They named it, aspire to it and strategized it. Hijrah (or Hijra).

I keep telling myself that "no one is that stupid" when I see what is happening to the UK. So, I fall back on coercion.

81 How is a pasty white soy boy the leader of "the party of immigrants?" Did Starmer slide in because of name recognition in a chaotic field ala Biden?

He's got more immigrant DNA in his stools then most British family lines have in generations of genetics.

85 I'm not a Starmer hater and the issues really manifested before he took office. However there are issues with parts of this rhetoric. If we are culturally diverse what are the cultures?

The government is clearly unsuccessfully trying to create a more inclusive British identity. We’re so fragmented I think we should commend efforts to actually try make minorities proud to be in and of the UK. Why are migrants criticised for not integrating but then efforts to create a more inclusive identity are also criticised? Do we want to stay angry and divided?
I’d also ask the labor messaging critique in reverse- why does every Reform communication have to mention immigration?

Holy shit, his speech was bad. "We done everything right, people just dont understand that". He wasn't speaking to the country he was speaking to the party. Like am sure that's what he needs to do to save his skin. But it just shows how much he doesn't fucking care.

The reason he’s so hated is because he is a terrible public speaker. Can’t go 2 seconds without staring at a script, can’t speak without scripted lines, stutters more than he talks and has an annoying nasal voice.

89 75 Here's an outlandish theory for you to chew and, likely, spit out.

There was some Xeet written by someone who said he had heard from an English diplomat the story.

Brexit put Britain on a path towards independent trade deals. Trump was working on a good with with England, but never finished it before 2020. With Biden in office, the EU went to England and demanded pretty much complete capitulation to take in every immigrant France allowed to put on a dinghy.

And England accepted.

95 I watched American Society of Magical Negroes last weekend. It was dumb, insulting, offensive, racist, and surprisingly poorly made. Not even the usually good David Alan Grier could save it, mostly because he was given little to do besides spout racist, cringe dialog.

Terrible script, bad casting, amateur-hour direction. Don't get me started on Justice Smith. He's terrible. How does this guy get work in movies?

The entire point of the movie seemed to be to insult white people as murderous racists. But the filmmakers were so stupid that they also ended up insulting blacks. They portray blacks as emotional support animals for whites -- little more than slaves.

I assume this crime against nature was greenlit in the wake of BLM hysteria, when money was thrown at anything "black."

The idea of the "magical negro" has some promise. In the hands of much better filmmakers, it could have been made funnier and more lighthearted. People like Mel Brooks and the Wayans can be offensive and funny at the same time. But ASoMN is deadly serious that magical negroes need to exist or else whites would literally murder all blacks.

Parliament does have snap elections which can swiftly change out governments. It's happened recently, even.

But the central problem is really the lack of a written constitution and a figurehead executive, leaving all power in the legislature with a judiciary that makes it up even more than ours does.

Now there is discussion in these opinion pages, but not on the policy and how it came to be, but whether the rise of these nationalist/nativist parties is due to racism, islamophobia, misogyny, white supremacy or all of the above, and they are therefore illegitimate. Yes. The 1960s-80s in Europe were the dress rehearsal for what we're seeing now. Back then it was all Communist terrorists making common cause with Islamic ones. They operated closely, and the whites funneled them gouts of Doviet cash and helped train them.

They never gave an inch to the Communists in return. They simply continued on with their religious mission well beyond the time the Communists in Europe outgrew college theatrics and entered the institutions, and then retired to spend more time with their foie gras.

The Muslims took the measure of their erstwhile comrades then, and now they're acting on that assessment.

238 Yes. The 1960s-80s in Europe were the dress rehearsal for what we're seeing now. Back then it was all Communist terrorists making common cause with Islamic ones. They operated closely, and the whites funneled them gouts of Soviet cash and helped train them.

I think he is extremely insulated from it. Extremely. Interestingly enough, Wills was asked about this and the frustration felt by people actually from the UK, and Wills responded that he would need to learn more, he but he would understand why people would be frustrated by services meant for British citizens not being given to them but to those who are not citizens. He was actually shockingly firm about it. I don’t know if anything came of it, though. He probably got smacked or something for speaking out of school.

Anyway, it makes me wonder if he becomes less pomp and more circumstance, would he be willing to do something more than his father? The Queen was more concerned about being seen as meddling. If the people were supportive, William and his temper may be the ones to do it. Keeping in mind British conservatives and US conservatives aren’t even on the same ballpark.

This reminds me of something I was thinking on - the remaining conservative mp’s (Tories) really need to think hard about whether they should switch parties and join up with Reform.
