The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

“Because race has always been identified as a political consideration, not only as it relates to the constitution of the United States but also how it is implemented at the state level. That’s why these districts were always drawn so that they took race into consideration.” Donna Brazile

Quote II

"My child did not go to school and say anything harmful or bad," Little said. "They could have simply explained to him, 'Hey, we cannot build things that we think are a weapon or look like a gun.'" Chanti Little

Sounds like a school district that discriminates against black autistic children. Guess who else at that school district never learned to think outside the box? And further more I would bet a Benjamin that the decision was made by a woman.

Time for a dose of Paul Joseph Watson, it's been a while.

We have more laws on the books than we have pickles. Isn't there a RICO Statute or some other federal law we can disband this hive of lepers?

If anything, the SPLC proved more aggressive during Huang’s leadership. That 2022 “hate map” included Moms for Liberty and other parental rights groups alongside chapters of the Ku Klux Klan. The following year, the SPLC added groups of doctors who oppose transgender ideology to the map. Last year, it added PragerU, Focus on the Family, and Turning Point USA to the map. A few months later, Charlie Kirk got a bullet in the neck.

Hayden’s story reveals yet more dysfunction and corruption at the SPLC, but his suggestion that the SPLC should grow even more aggressive in demonizing conservatives is bone-chilling.

Let’s hope the new leadership doesn’t follow his advice.

Call me a misanthropic curmudgeon. But why in the hell would you visit a landfill in a 3rd world country? Oh hell, a snipe hunt.

The 70-year-old had boarded the ship with his wife Miriam after they visited a landfill in Argentina, where they are believed to have caught the virus.

He was the first person to die, with Miriam dying a few days later trying to board a flight back home to the Netherlands from South Africa.

The couple was on a five-month trip in South America, and travelled to the landfill site as it is home to a rare species of Patagonian birds, including the White-bellied Seedsnipe.

So how does "Karen" Whittmer Governor of Michigan and Soros flunkie explain this? Soviet Style Trial in Michigan for Criticizing a Politician – A Horrifying True Story

There were no threats—just strong criticism of a public official using the powers of his office to silence dissent.

What happened next is straight out of a Soviet playbook. In December 2023—three months after Aisen’s last email—Aisen was arrested in Massachusetts, extradited to Michigan, and locked up in Oakland County Jail.

Free time and imagination, what can't it do?

Tracking private jets has become increasingly popular in recent years, whether to shame artists like Taylor Swift for her carbon footprint or to simply monitor the activity of billionaires like Elon Musk.

McDonald told Straight Arrow that he witnessed a notable spike in flights by private aircraft around the time of Trump’s threats.

“Was it because Trump was threatening genocide without even getting the approval of Congress?” McDonald asked sarcastically. “Hard to say.”

The surge in activity led McDonald to wonder: Do the wealthiest among us know something that we don’t?

Inside information
Less than two weeks later, while reading about the perfect timing of $1 billion in prediction-market bets about the Iran war, an idea came to McDonald: the “Apocalypse Early Warning System.”

I'm not sure if Spencer Pratt will be the next mayor of LA. But, he is giving it his best shot.

Pratt, Reform, Trump, MAGA, MAHA, the pendulum is swinging in the right direction. Can the correct rhythm continue?

New research proposes Dante’s Inferno modelled a planetary impact 500 years before modern science!
Burbery proposes that Dante envisioned Satan as a high-velocity impactor hitting the Southern Hemisphere and tunnelling to the Earth’s centre. This impact forces the Northern Hemisphere to retreat, which, consequently, forms the core of Hell as a bottom-up crater, while the earth displaced behind Satan creates the mountain of Purgatory as a central peak.

34 A video I watched last year just came to mind while I was on a walk earlier today, on five things that you should keep to yourself. It's only a ten-minute video, but in summary, you should not tell anyone your regrets, your pain, your resentments, your plans, or your finances. He does give explanations for each, and it's also a pleasant walk in a park (probably what brought it to mind). Oh, and he has a bonus of positive things that you *should* share.

The video is from a channel on the retired life, so I don't know how I even came across it, given that I'm not retired and doubt I ever will be; but it just seems like good advice. What do you guys think?

My Retired Life - 5 Things you should NEVER tell anybody!
https://youtu.be/bfApIqmFLQo

Incidentally, while trying to find it I stumbled on a similar newer video by a retired financial planner, except that his five things to keep mum about are your salary or savings, desire to quit or retire, giving power of attorney, your boss and people you dislike, and serious mental health issues. It isn't a bad list, but I think it's not as generally applicable.

That's the group that looks at the concentration of melanin within an individual's skin and thinks that it means something other than that individual's ancestors one time lived in a sun deluging environment resulting in physical adaptation to that fact.

Race being political is a construct of individuals with an ulterior motive beyond recognizing physical adaptation.

75 “Because race has always been identified as a political consideration, not only as it relates to the constitution of the United States but also how it is implemented at the state level. That’s why these districts were always drawn so that they took race into consideration.” Donna Brazile

Its been a while since I was in school, but if I remember right when the constitution was written the only race consideration was that this was white muthafucka land, and everybody else was either getting hunted on the plains or sold as property. Not saying it was right, but they didn't consider jack fucking shit when it came to race back then. Women didn't even vote.

90 57 John Wayne very much wanted to play the lead in that but the script went to another studio.

The original story was written by William Bowers and André De Toth with John Wayne in mind. Wayne loved it and offered Bowers $10,000 for it. The writer thought it was worth more and told Wayne how he felt. The actor reportedly said, "Well, you wrote it for me. Don't you have any artistic integrity?" Bowers later got $70,000 for it at Fox, and Wayne harbored ill feelings about the incident, accusing Bowers of selling it out from under him. In addition, Wayne refused to work for Columbia Pictures because its chief, Harry Cohn, had mistreated him years before when he was a young contract player. Cohn thought Wayne was seeing a woman Cohn himself was having an affair with and tried to ruin Wayne's career. Cohn had bought the project for Wayne, but Wayne's grudge was too deep, and Cohn sold the script to Twentieth Century Fox, which cast Gregory Peck in the role Wayne badly wanted but for which he refused to bend.

Taken in aggregate, the statements suggest that there is coordinated messaging on the issue between Washington and Jerusalem and, after stalled talks with Iran, the possibility of such an operation may have been elevated.

Lewis and who eventually divorced her husband, Gresham, went to England, and married Lewis -- the story told in the movie Shadowlands w/ Anthony Hopkins and Debra Winger.

"My nose is cold," he meekly cried;
"Oh, let me warm it by thy side!"

Since no denial word was said,
In came the nose, in came the head:
As sure as sermon follows text,
The long and scraggly neck came next;
And then, as falls the threatening storm,
In leaped the whole ungainly form.

Part 2

Aghast, the owner gazed around,
And the rude invader frowned,
Convinced, as closer still he pressed,
There was no room for such a guest;
Yet more astonished, heard him say,
"If thou art troubled, go away,
For in this place I choose to stay."

O, youthful hearts for gladness born,
Treat not this Arab lore with scorn!
To evil habits' earliest wile
Lend neither ear, no glance, nor smile.
Choke the dark fountain ere it flows,
Nor e'en admit the camel's nose.

189 Ugh, I could only get through 1:25 out of 9:40 of the Paul Joseph Watson video. It's all so grimly predictable, much like a horror movie, and I don't enjoy those much any more either. So I will write on philosophy.

The reason why I have little to no sympathy for people like her, with their "toxic" or "suicidal" empathy, is because I do not even give them credit for good intentions. It once again comes back to Upton Sinclair's formulation of the power incentive, "It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends upon his not understanding it."

Combine that with the understanding in economics that value is subjective, so psychic income is real income. When one starts from the assumption that her countrymen are just irrational bigots, then she concludes that she is their moral and intellectual superior. And once she has expressed that thought, the cognitive bias of Commitment Tendency latches on, lending its strength to the incentive power of her emotional salary.

Admitting that her countrymen opposed to immigration may have had a point becomes impossible, and I have no sympathy, since it started with the self-congratulatory error of scornful pride.

198 The Army tested Camels in the desert southwest, Arid Zone A just prior to the Civil War. The War Department imported quite a few dromedaries and handlers.

They did find they can go long periods with little to no water, and can eat just about anything, but they are a pain in the ass and difficult to handle and weren’t too popular with wranglers. Even if the Late Unpleasantness hadn’t curtailed testing prematurely I don’t think Camels would have been utilized.

A wasted life in my opinion.

Maybe I read they cut ‘em loose, and so wild Camels were seen now and then for a few years.

Now Mules were considered useful, and I’ve read they would trade for more money than horses amongst the Injuns. I always thought it might be fun to load up hiking gear and take a Mule. If one is not used to riding a horse, it is not all that great after about 15 miles or so.

IIRC - Image near the hump resembles rodin "the kiss"

A couple others in there too.

239 Oh jeez, sirens again tonight.

We go months without hearing sirens here. It sounds like the police and fire department.

We have a severe drought here. I pray that it is not a fire.

240 Why is CBS announcing “Showers in the vicinity”? Can’t everybody just clean themselves at home?

Posted by: NemoMeImpuneLacessit at May 12, 2026 12:18 AM (ZVgZ4)

241 206 They did find they can go long periods with little to no water, and can eat just about anything, but they are a pain in the ass and difficult to handle and weren’t too popular with wranglers. Even if the Late Unpleasantness hadn’t curtailed testing prematurely I don’t think Camels would have been utilized.

They imported a Arab camel wrangler, too, guy named Hadji Ali. He was quite the character, it seems. Christian when it seemed politic to be one, and muslim at other times. Became known in Arizona as "Hi Jolly". There is a gift shop in Mesa by that name, now.
Posted by: Alberta Oil Peon at May 11, 2026 11:53 PM (utfVc)

There's also a Hi Jolly monument in Quartzsite, if you're ever out that way.

That was also the camel's name in the Grizzly Adams episode I reference above.

244 Camel.cigarettes...a blend of fine Turkish and American tobaccos.

Gag me! After living in Turkey, there is no such thing as a fine Turkish tobacco.

Don't you have a line for liberals, and emergencies? I'm a liberal... in an emergency. Can you patch me through on that line, please?

California passed Propositions, which are amendments to the state constitution, dealing with illegal immigrants and another defining marriage as between a man and a woman and the US Supreme Court nullified both as I recall.
