The Morning Report — 5/ 5/26

Morning Report intro.jpg

Good morning kids. Lots of ground to cover today so let's dive right in. Well despite the repeated attempts on our President's life most recently less than couple weeks ago this still happened yesterday:

Gunshots were fired near the White House complex and the Washington Monument Monday, prompting the Secret Service to lock down nearby locations.

United States Secret Service confirmed that law enforcement shot one individual at 15th Street and Independence Avenue during the incident, and a bystander was struck; both are alive, authorities confirmed at a press briefing Monday. Agents reportedly engaged in a heated confrontation with an armed man near the White House and National Mall before President Donald Trump’s event in the East Room of the White House began, RealClearPolitics national correspondent Susan Crabtree first reported... The suspect is currently in custody and no Secret Service agents were harmed. He is reportedly recovering from his gunshot wounds at George Washington Hospital, and Secret Service agents recovered his firearm.

You may well ask, given the fact that President Trump and his entire cabinet and really all of us who support and voted for him have a big fat (literal, not Mark Kelly imaginary) target painted on them, how could something like this happen, yet again?! Well how about this for starters?

Secret Service Agent Arrested for Alleged Public Masturbation in Miami. John Spillman, age 33, had been in Miami to work exterior security for President Donald Trump’s appearance at the PGA Tour’s Cadillac Championship on Sunday, per CNBC: The incident involving Spillman occurred at the DoubleTree by Hilton Miami Airport & Convention Center on Sunday night, according to WSVN-7 News Miami, which cited an arrest report by the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

Well, that's bad enough but if we want to talk about root causes, let's get down to brass tacks:

Joe Biden, the last Democrat to occupy the White House, said it was “time to put Trump in the bull’s-eye.” Five days later, Thomas Matthew Crooks evaded the Secret Service and fired seven shots, one wounding candidate Trump in the ear. Jump ahead to April 25, 2026.
By all indications, Joe Biden issued no post after Cole Thomas Allen aimed to assassinate Trump. Take Obama’s post as another admission that, as David Samuels acknowledged in “The Obama Factor” in 2023, the hapless Biden was a puppet and the “fictional character” created in Dreams from My Father was still running the country and “responsible for the disaster that we are living through now.”
For all but the willfully blind, leading Democrats are now all-in on political violence. Obama serves as a pro-bono attorney for assassins like Cole Thomas Allen and jihadists like Nidal Hasan. The mass murderer was sentenced to death in 2013 but remains alive at this writing.

And that's how someone like Spillman gets to spill his seed while on duty. But the institutional rot predates even Obama/Biden. As horrendous as this creep may be, how is it that a known and avowed communist like John Brennan was able to become a CIA agent let alone was able to rise to become its director? I will never understand that one.

Elsewhere, and in a not necessarily unrelated story, President Trump is disrupting and dismantling the global order. With all eyes still on Iran, there are still rumblings about potential moves to at long last liberate the tropical island gulag 90 miles to the south of Florida.

Trump Goes All In On Regime Change In Cuba: The Trump administration just slammed the door on an effort by Cuba’s communist government to secure an economic lifeline while appearing to embrace reform. A May 1 executive order expands and sharpens longstanding American sanctions on Cuba, and appears to deliberately target a recent gesture at partially opening the Cuban economy. “All property and interests in property that are in the United States,” the order says, are barred from operating “in the energy, defense and related materiel, metals and mining, financial services, or security sector of the Cuban economy, or any other sector of the Cuban economy,” under the penalty of economic sanctions.

Fresh off the exposure of the Great Somalian Simoleon Swindle real journalist Nick Shirley is once more entering the breach:

If you'll remember, in March, a group of far-leftist folks from the U.S. and Europe — including members of Code Pink, commie activist Hasan Piker, and Ilhan Omar's daughter — flew into the crumblingly communist country and stayed in five-star hotels, enjoyed fancy meals, held concerts, and recorded podcasts, all while the Cuban people starve and live without electricity or water much of the time. They took photos with "president" Miguel Díaz-Canel and came back declaring that all was well on the island.

This crew spent some of their time riding around the city and viewing the Cubans as if they were on some sort of poverty safari, and Piker said the people just had an "island mindset" and that's why they just hung around in the streets all day. They came back reporting that things were just groovy down there and would be even better if Trump and Rubio would stop bullying them.

Well, independent journalist Nick Shirley recently visited Cuba and attempted to do the same thing... but he wanted to tell the real story of what's happening after decades of failed and corrupt communist rule. As you can imagine, he didn't get quite the welcome the others did. Not only that, but according to him, his equipment was seized, "spies" followed him around, and he barely escaped without being "kidnapped."

It is my fervent hope and prayer that Nick Shirley is not a one-off and that there are growing numbers of millennials and the younger generations that while not perhaps as open and brave as to put themselves in direct danger at least will become the next literal "Silent Majority" that will reject the insanity of Democrat/Leftism and once again secure America's future as the shining city on a hill.

On that unusually positive note for me . . .

Have a good day!

10 Cornell's President, a very sour guy imo, ran over a couple of kids promoting free speech at the university last night. Cornell Police (and they are actual, real police!) released video showing Kotlikoff (the Prez) tried to back out of his parking spot after a speech but the students surrounded his car. Usually its the lefties who do this stuff. No big injuries, but he probably should have let the cops clear a path instead of driving over feet. I'm sympathetic to him though, even if I'm not a fan.

23 For months, I’ve been a bit confused about “affordability,” the latest Democrat meme. Then, early last week, I read a piece about “affordability” and realized: “of course.” Affordability is just the Democrats’ latest excuse for giving out free stuff to their supporters, paid for by you and me.

That became obvious back when all the social media drones were pushing it. As Bonchie from Red State says: Know the op when you see it.

His closed body language when he's pressed for answers, to me, matches up with him say continually, "I don't know", when she pressed him for specific names and acts. He cheerfully asserts "this is a big thing" and then withdraws, turtle-like, into his shell when pressed for specific evidence.

He's a bloviating circus clown: "All blow and no show".

🚨🧵 BREAKING: Former DHS Chief Miles Taylor's prank site collected death threats against the President and 4,000+ people's personal data. Then exposed them through all an open API. 🚨

Two days ago, I showed you how Miles Taylor's GTFO ICE site exposed 17,000+ people's data on an open API. That site halted sign-ups and is still "under construction."

But Taylor's organization DEFIANCE[.]org didn't just build one leaky site. They built two. On the same server.

UndoTrump[.]org — launched April 1, 2026 as an "April Fools' joke" — collects names, emails, and political messages from people signing up for fictional "Removal Parties" at government buildings. The White House Ballroom. The Kennedy Center. The DOJ. Battleships.

4,000+ signup records. 3,300+ unique people. Same vulnerability. Same API. Same zero authentication.

And this one has death threats against a sitting President in the database.

The man who was deputy chief of staff for the department that houses the Secret Service couldn't secure a sign-up form. Again.

111 Newsweek: Donald Trump Says US Will Take Over Cuba ‘Almost Immediately’

The damage to the US from this presidency is immeasurable. The president isn’t supposed to be able to unilaterally cause all of this damage. The GOP in Congress has fully ceded their responsibilities and duties.

It doesn’t help that literally brain damaged Fetterman is helping stop efforts to curtail Trump's power.

He's bored with Iran and wants to move on to something new. He finds Iran frustrating and unsatisfying. He needs something new to excite his very small attention span and continue the distraction from the Epstein mess.

"On the way back from Iran." Like it's a grocery store run? "Yeah, let's just swing the USS Abraham Lincoln by Havana, pick up some cigars, and manifest some destiny." The casualness of suggesting a regime change via a pit stop is peak 2026 timeline.

All it will take is a phone call from Ronald Lauder and the carrier group will be heading to Greenland after killing a load of Cubans. I wish the rest of the world would sanction the fuck out of warmongering fascist America.

The world should be sanctioning the US at this point.

Obama serves as a pro-bono attorney for assassins like Cole Thomas Allen and jihadists like Nidal Hasan. The mass murderer was sentenced to death in 2013 but remains alive at this writing.

How come the press does not cover the true victim of that incident? I mean, of course, the schlub who was in the same meeting as O'Bumbles and for whom Barky just had to deliver a shout out for his excellent participation in said meeting. All this before SCOAMF said a single thing about Hasan's killing spree.

How is the shout out recipient faring these days? How is his self-esteem? His mental health?

Box plow will be coming soon, I hope.

Was dutifully informed by Ventura County that my vote by mail ballot for the upcoming primary should arrive in about seven days. Problem is, I've not lived in Ventura County since last July, and have since become a registered voter in Florida. 291 How can you not love Heather MacDonald?

The video’s most memorable feature is the visual contrast between the participants’ studied downtown chic and their professed identification with what Piker calls the “masses.” Tolentino’s makeup is flawless, accentuating her exotic feline beauty; her nails gleam with shell-pink lacquer; her carefully styled waves glow with tawny highlights; her low-cut denim tank top, jeans, and high-heeled boots signal urban sophisticate. This outfit may not be ideally suited to organizing the proletarian “sabotage and, sort of, engagement with property destruction” she evokes with wistful nostalgia. But it fits perfectly in the all-white Brooklyn loft where the interview was filmed.

Piker sports a powder-blue, long-sleeved Ralph Lauren shirt, complete with polo pony logo. His tennis shoes are by Adidas, the very embodiment of the “system of global capital” that he claims to want to overthrow, complete with allegations of labor abuses in its Chinese, Vietnamese, and Indonesian factories...

330 Good morning, all, and thanks, J.J.

From above, 'Philadelphia Museum Marks America’s 250th By Dwelling on Its Faults'

Pope Leo XIV will be awarded the 38th annual Liberty Medal in Philadelphia on July 3, 2026, during the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations. The National Constitution Center will honor him for promoting religious liberty, freedom of conscience, and human dignity, with the Pope accepting via a virtual broadcast from Rome. The award is part of the 2026 Wawa Welcome America festivities.

This could be the worst celebration of Independence Day in the Philadelphia area ever, and it seems so in-your-face including the following, especially given the Roman Catholic Church's 'treatment' in the region:

Within just one collar county of the city, some examples:
Delco officials began eminent domain proceedings in 2021 to acquire roughly 213 acres of land in Marple Township from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia & an alleged developer to create the county's largest park. The site, the former Don Guanella Village, was targeted for preservation, preventing its development. The county tendered only $21 million as "estimated just compensation." Absurd and still open.

Posted by: L - No nic, another fine day at May 05, 2026 10:29 AM (NFX2v)

331 Little Flower Manor (Darby & Upper Darby), originally owned by the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer, this 37.5-acre property served as an orphanage and nursing home until its closure. Delaware County purchased the site for $1.7 million in 2016 to prevent commercial development and create a public park.

Sisters of St. Francis Property (Aston Township) transaction involved land formerly owned by the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia, located near Neumann University. Aston Township purchased 46 acres from the religious order for approximately $1.9 million and intends it to become a passive-use township park featuring hiking trails through meadows and woodlands.

2025, Brookhaven closed the purchase of the former Our Lady of Charity school property located on Upland Road. The 7.4-acre parcel was appraised at $1.55 million.

In September 2019, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia sold the historic Archbishop Prendergast High School building and 8.5 acres in Drexel Hill to Delaware County Community College (DCCC) for $3 million. The new campus is designed as a $66.5 million project aimed at providing education, workforce training, and community resources.

Posted by: L - No nic, another fine day at May 05, 2026 10:29 AM (NFX2v)

332 (Note, the new community college campus also sits on the border of Philly while the entire county community college system is now supported by far fewer school districts than the original 21 county signers/supporters decades ago.)

AI - These actions reflect a trend of the cash-strapped Archdiocese selling land, while local government seeks to convert large, open Catholic tracts into public, green space.

And it is shocking to see the Roman Catholic Church so cash strapped in PA - it HAS done a lot of good - now joining many of the historic, mainline protestant denominations rapidly fading away.

And in county, rather than Greening, the true goals seem to be for Democratic county council - and pals - to control large land buffers that also keep certain schools at desirable educational levels, local taxes manageable, and any residential building appropriate for the surrounding towns.

After all, it's quite the deal as ALL the county is taxed to pay for county parks & security even when they're just sitting with little to no park development.

Democrats 🤬 but they give away diapers, tampons, Narcan & lots of $ to hinkey non-profits.

334 Bruce Springsteen’s Philadelphia concert ('Land of Hope and Dreams' - for BFF Obama - and 'No Kings' - for the Indivisibles and Occupies) on May 8, 2026, at the Xfinity Mobile Arena is rescheduled to Saturday, May 30, 2026, due to NBA/NHL playoff conflicts.
