There's a weird online trend lately of posting videos of Indians dying in incredibly stupid ways. I don't know where it came from, but it's been all over lately. A lot of western folks wonder why bystanders in the clips often just stand by and don't try to help.

I dunno man...it's a great place to visit but retiring there??? It's very rural, very expensive and not much to do.

I should have retired at the end of last year, but they put an informal 'stop loss' on me...
Maybe I'll set up a small feral hog ranching operation on the Big Island. Own some land there and I need to go check up on it. At one time wanted to make a simple 2 BR 1 Bath post & pier house and cut a straight line out the back side down about 1000 ft for popping pigs. I think it would be very relaxing low key lifestyle.

I rarely nap at all in my entire life. As a kid when it was forced I stared at the ceiling or, in later years, read a book.

Since I had a virus that wiped me out in February I tire easily. It could be due to getting older. Some people like naps and take them happily. They make me more stupid afterwards and discombobulated. I think I slept about one hour today at 2pm. Up at 7am after a decent (for me) sleep.

The older you get, the less you sleep. Worked first shift 20 yrs. Can't sleep after around two am. Fall asleep during the ONT most nights, but if it's too late, can't sleep again. During the day when I'm alone, couple short naps, then awake.

The older you get, the less you sleep. Worked first shift 20 yrs. Can't sleep after around two am. Fall asleep during the ONT most nights, but if it's too late, can't sleep again. During the day when I'm alone, couple short naps, then awake.

There is a crane safety vid out there with a (obviously too small) crane on a dock going into the drink.
Then the larger crane sent to pull the first crane out goes in too. Then another.
I think they brought a big muther for the forth and final try. Success.

I also liked the food chart above, created by someone ticked off. It did not cover the food I was craving when I used to sample Play Doh in kindergarten to see if the colors tasted differently.

I don't remember much about kindergarten but apparently I rocked my poem for parents, "Pussy Willow." The teacher chose it for me, Morons.

The only other memory in the private Kindergarten run by Mrs. Nelson I have is eating Vanilla Wafers. A girl liked me so much she gave me half of hers that she'd taken a bite out of and gross mushy!

A girl in PreK4 at school today liked me so much she showed me all of her work at Grandparent's Day. She either had no grandparents come or just liked me a whole lot, but she was not my granddauhter. Granted I was sitting at the little art table on a little wooden chair as I was tired.

You can blame MSFT.

They realized they could get cheap developers from India...cheaply. India in turn quickly adapted and started churning out tech workers. They speak a version of English and work for pennies on the dollars compared to US workers.

And...the poison is...Indians hire other Indians. 20 years after it started, they have taken over. And, to be nice, on average, they are not very good at technology. They are cheap. Some are very nice. But I wouldn't trust my life to anything developed by Indian devs.

I don't get anywhere near that. Fall asleep in chair reading ONT about halfway through, get in bed, stare at ceiling or wall for one to two hours, get up and start reading websites. A few hours later, maybe fall asleep watching YT vids in early afternoon, then nothing until ONT.

They have a lot of hits, and I managed to find this live performance in a record store on the eve of the release of their second album Siamese Dream (1993). This song was not actually released as a single until 30 years later, as an album anniversary thing, long after it was already popular. A nice thing about this recording for my purpose here is that, since Billy Corgan and James Iha were basically forced onto acoustic guitars by the noise constraints of the venue, D'arcy's bass really shines through without even trying. It's an accidentally great showcase:

I am watching a series, "Unforgettable," on Amazon of a homicide detective who remembers every detail instantly. Poppy Montgomery is very pretty but I have a new obsession of anyone with a mole next to their lips. I have a history of skin cancer and an imaginary degree in dermatology. I look at people's moles in public for decades. Usually for melanomas.

I guess with it being on screen, lips are my focus vs eye contact in real life, altho I don't recall meeting anyone with lip moles. Now I probably will and have to restrain myself.

Another show that puts me to sleep once a week is Hope Valley: 1974.Canadian. Corny but ok and I sort of like the lead actor. Lead actress has several lip moles really in need of my scalpel, way more than Poppy Montomery's.

I know if I had one, benign or not,it would drive me insane to lizard behavior as IT's RIGHT THERE and my tongue would mess with it forever.

241 What scares me about imported Indian engineers is that, in my experience, all Indians cheat in college. A lot of foreigners do ( and native born, too), but all the Indian ones that I went to college with cheated without batting an eye. And got very upset if you didn't cheat for them.
