“In honor of the King and Queen… I will be removing the tariffs and restrictions on whiskey,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, pointing to trade ties between Scotland and Kentucky’s bourbon industry.
He said the decision would benefit “two very important industries within Scotland and Kentucky,” including longstanding cooperation tied to wooden barrel production. “The King and Queen got me to do something that nobody else was able to do, without hardly even asking!” Trump added, calling it a “wonderful honor” to host the couple in the U.S. King Chuck seems to be a bit of a business person. in other rhino news, there's footage of them wandering into cities in Nepal. Nepalese don't hunt rhinos like the Chinese do, and apparently some invasive plant is choking the rhinos' normal feeding grounds. so they're moving downtown in case some pet store owner or vet has spare feed.

My favorite Kid in the Hall is Dave Foley. And he is partly why I believe News Radio is the best sitcom ever. He was the straight man, but he did it like no other.
The one where he wore Lisa's dress for a costume party was friggin' hilarious, because she got so pissed that he wore it better. Also, when they learned he was from Canada. Also, I have the entire series on DVD, and the out-takes are even funnier. man, I love that show. Posted by: Pug Mahon, Rock 'n' Roll Martian at April 30, 2026 08:41 PM (0aYVJ) 91

Charles is quite the businessman. As a prince he had a private estate , the Duchy of Cornwall. Which he developed quite a bit. Investment of all kind, land, stadium, vacation rentals, supermarket even. He has business managers who work for him. Now this holding is worth way over a billion. Not like the old days when they owned everything, but not too shabby. It went to William as he inherited the crown.

One, it doesn't know. Two, it knows and can't tell me, because They won't let it. Three, it can tell me and it's just basically the Ruling Class and Clerisy, as expected. Four, it can tell me and the answer will upend my worldview. On the surface, that's only a 50/50 chance of disturbing, not bad odds -- but I can get the two okay results without asking. The results that I can only get by asking are ones that would wreck my mental equilibrium, without being able to do anything about it; so, therefore, logically, I'm better off not asking. Q.E.D. NEW COURT FILING — OpenAI's own solicitation emails to Musk
For three days, OpenAI's lawyer Savitt has been framing Musk as a founding donor who broke his pledges. Today Musk's lawyers filed the receipts to show what actually happened: ... ... Under California law, when a charity solicits and accepts donations, a fiduciary relationship forms between the person who asked and the person who gave. A legal duty to use the money for the declared charitable purpose. Altman and the CFO solicited. Musk donated. OpenAI accepted. Then converted the charity into an $852 billion company. So I had a commercial C-130 overfly the house, and a quick check online showed it was part of the fleet of Coulson aviation, which is a wildfire fighting company.
This led me to wonder if there were any fires in state, which apparently there were not, again from the internet. I checked the global map for chemical signatures that are indicative of widlfires, CO and SO2, and I took a quick look at the global map for Patagonia, which had fires recently to check if I had anything similar. No fires there, but a plume of SO2 from one of the Sandwich Islands East of South Georgia Island, which may be an indication of volcanic action on one of the small cindercones down there. So this is my life, now. I have assets on my PC from the Internet that the NSA didn't have when I was ten, and I find it vaguely boring and irritating.
