Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Rant![]() On the Left, people point to January 6 as well as data purporting to show that most political violence comes from the Right. After Charlie Kirk’s assassination, The Economist ran a piece claiming to explain “what the data show,” which suggested that most political violence was a Right-wing phenomenon. Other publications cited studies from the Center for Strategic & International Studies or the CATO Institute. The problem is, the “data” that these outlets have been relying on is deeply flawed. One of the major sources is the Prosecution Project, an initiative of the University of Cincinnati, which analyzes felony criminal cases involving political violence and sorts them by ideology. “The project examines criminal complaints, indictments and court records, looking for crimes that seek ‘a socio-political change or to communicate’ to outside audiences,” per The Economist. “Its data show that extremists on both left and right commit violence, although more incidents appear to come from right-leaning attackers.” Yet if you pull up the data center yourself, you can see immediately that it is deeply flawed.Read the entire thing, and check her work! Because that is what sane people do. This is a vitally important analysis, for the obvious reasons, but also because it proves that what we all suspected was in fact the truth...we cannot believe anything the left says...and the left is everywhere. There's a clip on X or a woman who delved into the numbers, and yeah, totally manipulated. Of the three main sources for alleged conservative crime she found:
-- Did not include 9/11 deaths -- classified ALL anti-semitic crimes as done by whites -- included non-political/"hate" crime for whites, such as shooting at a meth lab Then there's the fact that one of these three most cited organizations is the SPLC, who we now know was in the business of creating "nazi" hate crimes to goose their numbers. Of course, once you're to the point of saying take this job and shove it, you may as well tough it out, steal materials and build yourself a car one piece at a time. Old country music was the best. 48 What we lack in actual political violence, we make for in inspiring hoaxes about our political violence. One of my favourites was Pelosi's garage door being spray-painted. She was one of the most powerful people in the nation and her house is unguarded. And they only spray paint the garage. Not the bricks, or the windows or anything else that could have EASILY caused much more financial damage. It could have been worse. We could have sent some guy into her home to bang the crap out of her husband... Posted by: Stateless at April 30, 2026 11:18 AM --------- And a hobo took a dump in the driveway. Unless one classifies Muslims and troons, and BLM and pantifa, and etc. as "right wing" virtually all political violence (i.e.: terrorism) is left wing. Even what little 'aryan national socialists' does is left wing.
Contrary to what Progtards claim virtually all racist groups are socialists' because there is no point in a racist group to demand to be left alone and let those 'others' live like commies, so long as they leave US alone. Posted by: Itinerant Alley Butcher at April 30, 2026 11:33 AM (/lPRQ) 87

Nothing close to these two that I can recall and 9/11 was an order of magnitude worse than OKC J6 doesn’t even belong in such a discussion (even though cops killed Trump supporters that day) OKC even that I wouldn’t call right wing but okay put it there if you must 9/11 was Muslim terrorism which is by definition political. It's not even close to both sides for one simple reason. The Right starts from the point of morality, predominantly a Judaeo-Christian one, which in turn shapes our morality. By contrast, the Left's starting point is their world view, predominantly ego and love of self to the point of narcissism, which shapes their morality. Those leftists who shared the Right's morality-based starting point famously abandoned the Left following the public celebrations coming from the worldview/ego-based leftists. Everyone remaining in the left is either a useful idiot who believes anything that conforms to his worldview (i.e., a narcissist) or a serial liar who deliberately manipulates data for his own benefit (i.e., a sociopath).
It's also another reason it isn't even close to both sides: violence is hard-coded into the left's political DNA. When your worldview is Power No Matter the Cost, morality must be flexible enough to allow any viable means to gain that power. Of course, the core problem underneath it all is that they unwittingly serve the Father of Lies, who didn't have to work terribly hard at gassing up their self-love. A confidential Canadian Forces Leadership and Recruit School report has revealed a complete breakdown in basic officer training following a surge in permanent resident enrolment.
Saw that yesterday. Canada really is a banana republic. This is pathetic. "Our Managing Editor, Cosmin Dzsurdzsa has obtained a secret, internal bombshell report from the Canadian Forces Leadership and Recruit School. This 15 page document exposes shocking military secrets that Mark Carney is not sharing with the public. One critical platoon was revealed to be 83% non-citizen residents – many in Canada for just three months – and it descended into total dysfunction. Cultural infighting between Cameroonian and Ivorian factions within the CANADIAN Armed Forces. Repeated allegations of racism flying between squabbling tribes. A shocking lack of respect toward female members and instructors. (Continued) Posted by: rickb223 at April 30, 2026 12:00 PM (C732X) 193

Graduation rate? A catastrophic 48%.
The report, authored by Lieutenant Colonel M.R. Kieley, is devastating. It likely crossed the desk of Prime Minister Carney, and now, I am sharing with you what he does not want known. Instructors watched cultural blocs clash constantly. Older permanent residents arrived expecting a “technical college,” not military discipline. Many couldn’t read training materials without help. Fitness levels cratered. Language barriers crippled communication. (Cont) Posted by: rickb223 at April 30, 2026 12:00 PM (C732X) 196

This wasn’t one bad platoon. It’s the direct result of rushed policy changes: scrapping the aptitude test, gutting medical standards, and fast-tracking non-citizens with zero security screening. Basic training success rates have plunged from a steady 83-87% to 77%. Failure rates are skyrocketing. Instructors are overwhelmed and furious.
Some training officers are now openly questioning whether non-Canadian citizens should even receive officer commissions. This is what happens when you trade standards for numbers. Canada’s military is supposed to defend the nation – not become a fractured social experiment. The full report, which was never supposed to see the light of day, lays it all bare: the ethnic fractures, the plummeting competence, the warnings ignored.” Posted by: rickb223 at April 30, 2026 12:01 PM (C732X) 200

WASHINGTON — The lawyer for White House Correspondence Dinner shooting suspect Cole Allen gave an absurd reason for why the CalTech grad should be allowed to walk free pending trial — despite charges that he attempted to assassinate President Trump.
Defense attorneys claimed that Allen, 31, was not prepared to carry out a mass shooting in the room where Trump, first lady Melania and most of the top members of the administration were in attendance — because he had a pump-action shotgun. the logic: a shotgun is a poor choice when planning an assassination, so obviously my client wasn't really serious about carrying out the attack! But it's still a commuter school. They only house about 20% of the kids. Their philsophy is to admit almost everyone, and fail out those kids who don't care or try. I think that should be every college's concept. Real grades for everyone in every subject (one of my neighborhood kids failed out this year - didn't bother doing homework - at Yale as a disabled kid (b/c he does have some learning disabilities), he'd still have had an A). Defense attorneys claimed that Allen, 31, was not prepared to carry out a mass shooting in the room where Trump, first lady Melania and most of the top members of the administration were in attendance — because he had a pump-action shotgun.
“Mr. Allen has no criminal history — not even prior arrests, which alone would rebut the presumption of detention,” they wrote in an 11-page filing on Thursday. Posted by: SMOD at April 30, 2026 12:32 PM (O7XEN) 302
People don't understand Medicare unless they know someone who is on it and has explained it to them or they are about to get on it themselves. It's complex with different parts to it. Part a is free but pays practically nothing. The other parts are not free. They cost and still do not pay for everything. You are still going to have to dig into your pocket.
I'm tired as shit hearing people say I'm on some kind of welfare. That is a lie. They do not know what they are talking about about. On top of that I've been paying into the system for decades until I retired this year. Posted by: Case at April 30, 2026 12:39 PM (9lqZe) 303
72. It's the money sinks that are Medicare and Medicaid that are the actual problem.
Now, who wants to cut old people and poor people off from free healthcare first? Oh, not nearly 50% of the nation? Much less 51% of elected officials? Then it's not getting fixed. Posted by: TheJamesMadison --- The fraud & mismanagement by the government (all levels) are often thanks to programs enabled by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) through the expansion of supplemental benefits, particularly under the CHRONIC Care Act of 2018. Non-profit food distribution, home healthcare 'resources' on every other block in urbanized areas, free meals for Medicare Advantage 'customers' w/dietary restrictions, now including Medicaid, via state Medicaid expansion. But it's not universal, nor is it necessary benefitting a great deal of eligible seniors on Medicare Advantage but rather it - and similar programs - have turned into much broader, highly subsidized money makers w/little accountability & often found in urbanized areas. See VA programs, too. Shapiro Administration Highlights Governor’s Proposed Budget Investments to Provide Healthy Meals to Medicaid Recipients, Apr 2026.
