Southern Poverty Law Generational Wealth Center Says It's Being Investigated by Trump's DOJ; Democrat Fundraising Arm ActBlue Takes the Fifth Amendment Rather Than Answer Questions

The SPLC says the DOJ is investigating them over their use of paid infiltrators who supposedly tell them about extremists' groups plans.

That's silly. There's nothing illegal about that. Sounds like a big bag of bullshit to me.

I imagine the SPLC is putting out spin ahead of the actual news coming out. They're being investigated, I would guess, over criminal conduct, but they want to get all the lefties (and I guess all the Rand Paul, Thomas Massie, Marjorie Taylor Space Laser, and Tuq'r Qarlson fans) on their side before the real news drops.

The Justice Department is allegedly investigating the Southern Poverty Law Center in connection with the group's use of paid informants to infiltrate extremist organizations decades ago.

...

Bryan Fair, CEO of the SPLC, said that the organization doesn't know all the details, but the Trump administration has launched an investigation, which may lead to charges. Fair said the SPLC worked with informants during the height of the Civil Rights Movement, when violence against activists was running high.

Yeah I have a feeling it's about self-enrichment and embezzlement.

Or about, say, sexually harassing/coercing female staffers and then demanding they remain silent for "The Great Cause."

At PJM, Matt Margolis says that ActBlue is "toast" and doubts they can survive taking the Fifth Amendment on almost all questions about how they raise money -- and from whom, and from where.

A damning interim staff report from the House Administration, Oversight, and Judiciary Committees paints a damning picture of widespread illegal foreign donations flowing through the platform with the full knowledge of ActBlue's leadership, followed by a massive cover-up in the hopes of preventing Congress from finding out.

Two ActBlue officials -- including former Vice President of Customer Service Alyssa Twomey, who oversaw the fraud-prevention team during the 2024 election cycle -- and three former lawyers refused to answer a single substantive question from investigators. Combined, ActBlue employees invoked the Fifth Amendment at least 146 times across depositions with the three committees between July and December 2025.

...

Then there's the legal and compliance team. By March 2025, every member of it was gone -- resigned, fired, or on extended leave. According to the interim report, "this mass exodus was a direct consequence of ActBlue's failure to deter illegal foreign political donations" and the CEO's prior misstatements to Congress. The report states that every member of the legal and compliance team "appears to have left the platform after the 2024 election because of its 'knowing and willful' acceptance of illegal foreign contributions, and the subsequent cover-up."

18 Every investigation into ActBlue showed they were committing massive amounts of fraud with their donations. How long have we known that they were taking names and reusing them as Betty McMullin of Butte, Montana had donated 3,426 times for a total of $86,335 when she actually gave a one time $25 donation.

Nothing happened.........And nothing will.

The ONLY Thing that might come out positive is the lawsuit that Ken Paxton of Texas filed against Act Blue. THAT might actually lead to something, I would guess.

25 My theory on Act Blue is that they use a bunch of straw donors to launder money from illegal sources.

So, for example, a European oligarch wants to send $5K to some candidate - Act Blue then gets the money but passes it through a bunch of accounts they control and the official report to the FEC says there are 1,000 $5 donations.

They explains why there are so many small, irregular donations going through Act Blue, why the people who are supposedly donating have no idea they donated, and why they are so secretive in their records...

The SPLC could hire a white guy to join the KKK and then have that person report back to them on what he saw and heard. No crime would be committed. Hence there is no conceivable way the DOJ would investigate this.

The GOP's shift into grifter-central was well under way in the middle of the last century.

I come from a family of GOP office-holders. It is 110% about the grift, 24/7. A solid 3/4 of the GOP is as dedicated to grifting as the Dems are dedicated to closing ranks.

The primary difference between the RINOs - at least the ones that aren't undercover progs - and the Dems is that the GOP focuses on smaller scale individual fraud, because they're driven by money. The Dems are driven by *power*, understanding the money will follow naturally. As will raping their staffers, murdering leakers, and various other sorts of depravity.

Yeah the IRGC will pick up some small arms they have no use for (they already have them) but the vast majority will be picked up by citizens.

Then to make things more interesting put a bounty on verifiable videos of IRGC and Mullahs being ambushed and killed. People can collect their awards when they overthrow the government.

Do this in the top 5 cities one one evening and there would be instant chaos.

The cost of these Ak's are trivial compared to the high tech missiles we are using daily. You can buy 20,000 Ak47's for the cost of one THAAD missile.

129 In the old days the party used to take in the money, and the party selected the candidate. So, they needed way less money, and the candidates were not responsible for raising funds. Now they not only raise funds, but they also need to raise many multiples of what the party needed to account for competing in the primaries.

The primaries are the underlying cause of the problem. We need to go back to an older system, where the party greenlit 4-5 candidates. They went around the country, giving speeches and gaining support. At the convention, the delegates vote for the candidate they want. Each round of voting, one person is eliminated, till the last person gets the nomination.

It was blatantly obvious that ActBlue was deliberately breaking up big-money donations into smaller donations that wouldn't meet the $201 dollar threshold above which donors had to be identified. There would be tens of thousands of odd-dollar donations and the sum of them for any individual name that was reported as having "made the donation" would usually come to between $190 and $200.

Posted by: Skip at April 21, 2026 05:16 PM (Ia/+0)

157 Slightly off topic, but Biden is out telling folks the Constitution is being trampled upon. What do these idiots mean by that? They never seem to be able to point the parts of the Constitution that are being trampled upon, and if they did, wouldn't most of their own bullshit fit that category?

Long on flinging poo, not very long on facts and figures.

4hBREAKING - MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD WAR PLAN EXPOSED
We Have Obtained the Muslim Brotherhood’s Secret Blueprint, “The Project,” to Capture America, is Operating UNTOUCHED from Their Virginia Command Center.

It was created in 1982, seized right after 9/11, and has been executing with ruthless precision across America for decades while our elected officials do absolutely nothing to stop it!

Roadmap…

✅ Reject ALL assimilation - build parallel Islamic societies instead

✅ Use “Palestine” as the keystone to fuel global jihad

✅Form temporary “Red-Green” alliances with Marxists and leftists to destroy the West from within

✅ “Nourish a sentiment of rancor with respect to the Jews (Christians) and refuse all coexistence”

✅ Infiltrate institutions, seize control of local power centers, and impose Sharia step by step"

Are we not seeing this plan in action TODAY ???

159 Also, I'd imagine that Iran is being resupplied during these talks, correct? Not by the Straight of Taco Don but there are other routes available.

Cool. Take too long and we have a bit of a hill to climb.

I'm praying for a bigger picture to appear from the fog here....but I think we are going 1D currently. Paki's dealing. Kiss stealing. Wheeling dealing.

163 Seems like no more ActBlue funneling tens of millions of illegal campaign cash to Democrats would be something to start with.

165 I have therefore directed our Military to continue the Blockade and, in all other respects, remain ready and able, and will therefore extend the Ceasefire until such time as their proposal is submitted, and discussions are concluded, one way or the other. President DONALD J. TRUMP

The Blockade is costing them, and China a lot of money and not many others very much. We already see 2 factions in the IGRC and some unknows offing street thug heads here and there.

166 Then SLPC says it's about their use of paid "informants", you can bet it's really about their use of paid "agitators" - people they paid to infiltrate conservative groups and encourage others to commit crimes.

Think about the Michigan governor kidnapping case where the feds paid about 12 informants to encourage the 8 or so non informants to conspire to commit kidnapping.

167 Do this in the top 5 cities one one evening and there would be instant chaos.

The cost of these Ak's are trivial compared to the high tech missiles we are using daily. You can buy 20,000 Ak47's for the cost of one THAAD missile.
Posted by: hatethedeepstate at April 21, 2026 04:58 PM (2Nfh9)

we don't necessarily want chaos. But I do think we are moving supplies into the country to our own contacts there.

168 Their living bresthing Constitution that is interpreted to the Leftists.

The living breathing Constitution they all squall about is literally - and I mean this quite literally - that the MidWest and SouthEast support them.

That's the entire grift with deducting your State Tax against your Federal. That's the entire SALT deduction.

We all ... if you don't live North of Ohio or Philly ... support these fucks. Literally.
