The Morning Report — 4/ 15/26

Morning Report intro.jpg

Good morning kids. As if, I suppose, you needed any reminder, today is tax day. if only you were a violent jihadist, illegal alien or legal immigrant from Somalia scamming us out of billions, you'd have it made in the shade and living the American dream just like our Founders intended. Exceptionalism indeed.

Exceptionally tolerant beyond all logic in tolerating "a long train of abuses 2.0). God bless and keep Donald Trump and his loyal/competent advisers for doing what they can to try and turn back the tide of a swamp the size and depth of every ocean on the planet. In spite of some setbacks and disappointments over his two terms, at the barest of bare minimums, his greatest accomplishment has been exposing the forces of darkness and evil of the Democrat-Left and Deep state out to not just destroy I'm but all of us, as he had so eloquently and perfectly stated almost from the moment he stepped off the golden Trump Tower escalator nearly six years ago.

Referring to an impeachment reversal, Dershowitz admitted, “It's never been done. I don't see any reason why it couldn't be done. Impeachment is a quasi-judicial procedure, whether you have to go back to Congress and ask them to expunge it or go to the courts.”Referring to the new exposure of the key source for the accusations, who met with top Democrat Adam Schiff before filing his complaint, Dershowitz added, “But I have to tell you one thing, history will expunge it already based on your work, because what you've done is you've created so much doubt about the credibility of the main accuser that it's hard for anybody to sit back now and say that was a just, a just impeachment, but I don't know that there's going to be any remedy. Maybe we should try to create one.”

And from the exceptionally all-too tolerant American people, we go to the exceptionally stupid people of Spain:

Spain’s Socialist Workers’ Party has authorized plans to grant amnesty to 500,000 illegal migrants in the country, authorities said.

Pedro Sanchez, Spain’s prime minister and general secretary of the Socialist Workers’ Party, said in an April 14 statement shared on X that the Council of Ministers would approve a move to grant amnesty to migrants. . . The move will provide amnesty to 500,000 illegal migrants and allow them to be formally integrated into the Spanish workforce, according to the BBC. The government will offer migrants a one-year renewable residence permit. Migrants seeking amnesty must apply between April 16 and the end of June. They must also prove they have been living in Spain for five months and have no criminal record, the outlet reported.

PS: Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants thinks all those colored dudes look alike: At least Barack was "clean and articulate, that's a storybook, man!"

Have a great day!

29 Youth unemployment in Spain is already at almost 25%. Spain should address that before introducing even more competition to a job market that alredy has far more workers than it can absorb.

Govts pumping up the low wage market for their corporate overlords. Seems to be running theme in all countries atm

many of these migrants are from Latin America - and that is why Spain (and to an extent Italy) buck the European trend of mass immigration costing more than it generates in most of Europe. Latin American immigration into Southern Europe is relatively successful.

They're Spanish descendants going back to Spain. I don't know why it doesn't appease the "go back to where you came from" crowd?

The government's plan will offer a one-year, renewable residence permit to undocumented migrants. In order to be eligible, applicants must prove that they have already spent five months living in Spain and have a clean criminal record.

For everyone who doesn't want to read. Which part of this is objectionable?

It may be a clever way to get them to all register, so they can be tracked and deported later?

That said, Catholics who are devout are still in Trump's corner...but not all of us are happy about this week. An apology (vs I thought I was a doctor - don't double down on unbelievable stupid) for the picture would have been and would still be nice...but it's not Trump's way.

33 The all but certain political move by the commonwealth’s leftist governor was announced Tuesday, when Spanberger revealed that she had sent the bills in question back to the Democrat-run General Assembly with amendments she claimed “strengthen commonsense gun safety laws.” Monday night was the deadline by which Spanberger had to decide whether to request such amendments, sign or veto legislation, or allow bills to become law without her signature.

It was kind of a ridiculous move. She took the assault firearms bill which set a limit of 15 rounds on detachable magazines and defined assault firearms by a set of features, and merged the concepts together - if the magazine has more than 15 rounds, its an assault firearm.

Which is legally more of a mess than what it was. A Ruger Mini-14 which almost is never considered when the gun grabbers go after guns, becomes an assault firearm with a 20 round mag. Replace it with a 10 round mag, suddenly its legal!

I believe that this is performative gaslighting by Virginia's sweetheart governor. I think it is lib version of failure theater. I hope.

I was in the UK in 2003 or so - Tony Blair times. I was listening to the radio and they had a debate in the Parliament I think about the pros and cons of immigration.

I was impressed at how reasonable the discussion was. And that there were people who could actually say that immigration was bad for the economy, and bad for Britons. Not like in the US where racist was casually thrown around to shut down debate.

Oddly, the outcomes were no different....

91 Pedro Sanchez, Spain’s prime minister and general secretary of the Socialist Workers’ Party, said in an April 14 statement shared on X that the Council of Ministers would approve a move to grant amnesty to migrants. .

Not revealed by Kaus. He was never brave enough or out of the cocoon enough to report on it. The irony seemed lost on him.

The Swalwell thing, while satisfying, is a pretty local event that most won't care about for more than a moment. Trying to drive a wedge between Trump and his supporters is a much bigger effort.

Does nobody find it odd that Obama righthand man David Axelrod, a liberal Jew who has never met with the Pope before, had a meeting with the Pope and then days later a coordinated attack by the Pope and cardinals against Trump over the war in Iran? Then the Pope goes to Algeria to flirt with Muslims leaders instead of commenting on the Nigerian slaugheter of Christians or supporting Israel?

Obama/Biden wanted to make Iran the regioinal power in the middle east and empower China. Trump is destroying that plan and the far left of which this Pope is a part hate it.

Iran murders tens of thousands of its own people and the Pope says dick. Trump takes out Iran's leadership and the Pope criticizes Trump.

NEW: CA gubernatorial candidate Tom Steyer (D) releases an immigration platform that is radically left of Gov. Newsom. It includes:

- Abolish ICE
- Put ICE agents in jail & “treat them like the mob”.
- Bring those “kidnapped & detained by ICE back home.”
- Give CA AG power to imprison ICE agents & their leadership.
- Taxpayer funded legal representation & support for illegal aliens.
- Ignore a SCOTUS ruling that allows ICE to utilize to use race, language, job, and location to contribute to “reasonable suspicion” for immigration arrests, and instead, “California should take matters into our own hands and extend legal protections to its residents, despite the federal governments failure.”

“This is about our right as a state to protect our residents,” Steyer says.

174 >>The Russia collusion stuff is not only bizarre in the way it came about, but because we have completely open knowledge of China/Saudi/European/Ukrainian collusion with other politicians and that's never been grounds for any sort of sanction.

One of the key elements of a Color Revolution is control of the media and the narrative. That's why the left worked so hard to censor us through the media and social media. They created the narrative that Trump was colluding with Russia and any evidence to the contrary was buried and often so were the people who tried to report it.

Some of the smarter people on X like Fool Nelson and other researchers had 90% of the plot figured out in real time and guys like Sean Davis used much of their information in their reporting. They were a fart in a wind storm.

To this day a very large part of the left still believes Trump colluded with Russia because it was ground into them and no amout of evidence to the contrary will convince them. Musk pretty much saved the country by saving free speech.

179 Took a semi-blowoff class during college about "politics and the press" ages ago.

Taught by a godless commie former SDS member.

I actually learned something. He talked about how words used in articles can influence the story. He went on about how the government was always "the authorities" and protesters were "protesters" and "dissidents", etc., putting the gubmint in a better light than those opposed.

He also claimed that you will get the actual truth by reading the business papers, since those running the country were the corporations.

He was a radical, big time. He was still involved in trying to beat up Nazis in Chicago, under cover of playing softball, then using the bats to attack them. And this was the late 90s.

I got an A. It was super easy, barely an inconvenience.

I just spewed his party line.

189 observing people I ordinarily respect accept media lies without a single critical thought

Not only that, somewhere along the way a great mass of people stopped thinking at all. Has something to do with Epistemology, or the “how do we know what we know”; if that makes sense.

We can’t know a lot about everything, maybe a lot about a narrow field of study, but regardless of our level of intelligence or aptitude we as individuals need a certain skillset to gauge the veracity of the information given us. This can be developed to a high degree, even without a formal education.

A bullshit detector, if you will. Seems like a lot of people accept uncritically anything that comes from on high. The public schools stopped teaching people to think for themselves. I’ve even noticed people get really pissed off at times if you even suggest it, which is sort of comical. It isn’t that difficult, but intellectually it’s a “Here there be Dragons” kind of thing. It frightens them. They might have to re-examine deeply held beliefs. Can’t have that.

229 Keep your perspective. The main op underway here is to create chaos among Catholic and Christian voters. The primary aim of Democrats is to keep them from voting and separate them from MAGA. The real evil objective is to separate them from Jesus Christ.

The pope is a man. Period. He has obvious flaws and biases. The problem is not that they apply the gospels to current events. It is that he has applied them seemingly selectively and with a political purpose. Politics should be outside the church mission, and if it was one would see a more evenly distributed set of like criticisms. Unfortunately we do not see that, and the popes obvious biases prior to his ascension doesn’t help.

My father taught me only three things worth remembering. "Anything worth doing is worth doing right"; "If you're going to drink, do it at home -- it's cheaper and safer"; and "Always get off the carousel in the direction it's turning."

To be fair, the first covers nearly everything in life. And I suppose he did have a few other things spot on. But Twain's comment . . . I dunno.

The Soviets weren’t suicidal, they would gain nothing getting rid of Kennedy. The Cubans were psycho, and didn’t care. But if it got out, it could still result in World War III. The Cuban missile crisis was barely a year earlier and had come within a red nether hair of total nuclear war.

Oh no! What will we do without the fatwas that were apparently keeping us safe from the murderous Iranian regime?!! I feel so UNSAFE now!

More seriously, as if this mattered at all:

In Islamic jurisprudence, a fatwa is a religious ruling from a qualified authority (marja’, and while it can be reinterpreted or rescinded by a successor, it does not vanish simply because the issuer is no longer alive

Traitorous douche-canoe Crow is an idiot.

408 - Free will?

The "will" of one who is dead in sin and at enmity with God will never choose God.
It is the work of God, through God the Holy Spirit, that opens the ears and eyes of one who is lost, and replaces their heart of stone with a heart of flesh.
Struggling with a doctrine? Look to the easiest passages to understand that address that doctrine.

When writing to the church (believers) at Ephesus, see Ephesians 4:6.
See also we are saved by grace, through faith, which is a gift. Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Anand, willowed.

On a less than positive note:

The deadliest terrorist bombing in Spanish history occurred on March 11, 2004, when al-Qaeda-linked terrorists detonated 10 bombs on four commuter trains in Madrid, killing 193 people and injuring ~2,000.

The attack is one of two that occurred just before a general election and caused major political shifts.

414 A van was driven into pedestrians on Las Rablas, followed by another similar incident in Cambrils, leaving 16 dead and over 100 injured. The attacks were linked to Islamic extremists. This August 2017 Barcelona area planned attack also caused a political shift in Spain.

The Basque separatist group ETA (reported to be disbanded) targeted Spanish authorities with civilians with car bombs and explosives. A 1986 Madrid car bombing by ETA killed 12 Civil Guard officers.

And a bomb, believed to be aimed at American personnel, killed 18 people at the El Descanso restaurant, near Madrid, in 1985.

Yeah, that was then and this is now. 🤨

How does one, especially a surgeon, confuse a liver for a spleen?...

It started when he misidentified the artery to the spleen and tried to ligate an artery to the liver. The patient was obese, but the surgeon started the operation as a laparoscopic procedure, then converted to open procedure. The poor patient never should have been operated on, it appears the surgeon was misdiagnosing him either due to negligence or greed.

417 Just as a matter of historical record, President Andrew Jackson was censured by the House, but later in his presidency, the House voted to expunge the censure. That created a great deal of controversy at the time, on the grounds that one cannot expunge an historical fact, and the censure was something that actually happened.

For that reason, I don't think that Dershowitz's proposal works. Frankly, what needs to happen is for the facts of the case to be publicized, to make the impeachment a mark of shame for the impeachers rather than the impeached.
