Anime is Suicide Squad Isekai, the recent anime adaptation of Marvel's Suicide Squad. Song is Go Getters by Hololive's own Grim Rapper, Mori Calliope. Not an AMV, exactly. The studio hired Calli to perform the ending theme for the show. Disclaimer: Pfft. Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

from the strike article:
The ProPublica Guild’s strike vote is just the latest example of a newsroom collective bargaining agreement becoming a battleground for debates over AI adoption in journalism. As of September 2025, 43 contracts negotiated by units of the NewsGuild-CWA, the largest union for journalists in the U.S., included language that referenced AI in some form. Posted by: Colin at April 12, 2026 05:06 AM (e8qy3) related (from the ONT): 320 Another funny space toilet thing from splashdown night. I watched it live on NASA's stream, but then watched the re-run's of FOX's coverage. From Laura to Hannidiot, they had quite a few astronauts on as guests. Hannity managed to get Charlie Duke (who is 90) on. The toilet thing came up, and Charlie told a story of when he splashed back down after Apollo 16. They got them all back on the carrier and he was able to shower and shave and clean up and all that. By the time he was all cleaned up and feeling fresh, they had hoisted the capsule into the hangar deck, and he went back inside to fetch some of his stuff. He said the smell was so bad he gagged and he could hardly stay in there. Hannity didn't understand why it would stink, asking was it a "burned smell" for the heat. Charlie explained, no it was us.... Posted by: publius, Rascally Mr. Miley (w6EFb) at April 12, 2026 01:39 AM (w6EFb) Posted by: m at April 12, 2026 05:10 AM (fNISR) 23

The left has been going after Trump for 10 years and he's still smacking them upside the head. It took the left 10 minutes to completely wreck Swalwell's life.
They knew all along Swalwell was a scumbag but they didn't do squat as long as he was somewhat useful. Posted by: JackStraw at April 12, 2026 08:40 AM (viF8m) 109

85 I have yet to find any good insights into what the hell this Islamabad thing really was. Vance made it sound like a good-faith attempt. Again. Posted by: San Franpsycho at April 12, 2026 08:19 AM (RIvkX) I have no doubt it was a good faith effort on the part of the US; however a good faith effort does not require you to compromise on your goals, and clearly we did not. I suspect there was a need for an operational pause to rest and rearm driving the temporary halt uo hostilities. Now it’s time to see if there is truly a plan to reopen the straits. Morning, 'rons and 'ronettes. 47 degrees here at Stately Poppins Manor. A clear blue sky and a high of nearly 60 predicted. My little pup is outside barking at everyone who walks by and I'm waiting for the kettle to boil so I can have tea for the Book Thread.

I'd bet they put about a 10% chance would accept a deal and even less that they would honor any deal. It did give the war planners a chance to rest, rearm and assess the next steps including the best way to open the Strait and protect it and now Trump can say he gave Iran every opportunity to end the war but they chose otherwise. Bwahahaha! I remember the old days when you only had 640K of executable space, and your drivers had to use it, so you loaded all your drivers contiguously in the high area of memory...so that your other programs would have the most available space to run... Glad to be kicking it on a Sunday.
Here was Saturday: 1.) Woke up and performed my ritualistic payment of tribute to my inbred Somali master class. BMWs and size-16 ball caps all around. Enjoy them, Ilhan, and send my regards to whatever warlord I'm subsidizing. 2.) Light fixture in dining room went kaput a little while ago, so I was up on a ladder wrangling the expensive and stupidly designed new one into place. 2 minutes after completion, the whole house loses power. Uh oh! I start freaking out for several minutes before ascertaining that this is a totally coincidental massive power outage. 3.) Elderly, recently widowed aunt is staying with my parents until she can get her house sold and buy a new one out here. So we went over and I moved her truckload of disgustingly heavy furniture down the bumpy slope into their basement. Productive day, but glad it's over. Odd. My primary OS is based off the linux kernel versus the bullshit coming out of Redmond, WA. My primary machine lost its windows partition a while back and I haven't bothered to replace/fix it. My favorite Linux distribution is handled by a guy in Minnesota (he's a native versus a Somali) who has doing that since ~1993. I don't know his political leanings, but he is extremely conservative about what goes into his distribution. Posted by: Richard Cranium at April 12, 2026 09:44 AM (u5xQp) 139
