Putin has been sending his illegal sanctioned "Shadow Fleet" oil tankers through England's bathtub -- or its former bathtub, as you'll see -- the English Channel.

Keir Starmer told Putin to stop using the Channel for the illegal transport of sanctioned oil or he'd seize the shadow ships. And you know that when Keir Starmer acts tough, people take notice.

So Putin sent his own warships into the Channel to protect the ships.

Vladimir Putin has openly defied Sir Keir Starmer's threat to seize sanctioned Russian vessels by sending a warship to escort them through the Channel.
The Admiral Grigorovich, a Black Sea fleet frigate, accompanied a pair of shadow fleet ships on Wednesday while a British naval vessel followed behind.
Positioned on the Royal Charlotte, a boat almost 10 miles from Dover, The Telegraph observed Putin's flotilla cruising past the south coast while RFA Tideforce, a Royal Fleet Auxiliary tanker, trailed in their wake.
Last month, Sir Keir gave special forces the authority to capture the armada of rusted ships illegally ferrying oil to support Russia's war in Ukraine, saying he would hit the shadow fleet "even harder" if they sailed through British waters. However, Britain is yet to seize a single Russian vessel.
The Prime Minister has repeatedly faced criticism regarding the state of the Royal Navy and Britain's Armed Forces. After an Iranian-made drone hit RAF Akrotiri, HMS Dragon, Britain's only deployable destroyer, was sent to the Middle East, but took three weeks to arrive and has already had to return to port as it suffers water supply issues.

They have one (1) deployable destroyer, which is a light-middleweight warship. This should be a class of warship England can deploy dozens of.

In a speech on Saturday, Kemi Badenoch, the Conservative leader, is expected to pile further pressure on Sir Keir, urging him to publish the long-delayed defence investment plan. She will state that there is "no plan for rearming Britain".
Donald Trump, the US president, has previously described the Navy's two aircraft carriers as "toys" while his defence secretary, Pete Hegseth, mocked Britain's "big, bad Royal Navy".

Admiral Grigorovich -- a 3,620-ton frigate armed with anti-ship, cruise and surface-to-air missiles -- sailed between the two 600ft tankers Universal and Enigma shortly after 9am on Wednesday as they headed west toward Plymouth.
Universal reportedly departed from the Russian port of Vysotsk on Jan 18.
The Russian-flagged tanker is believed to be on a mission to deliver crude oil to bolster the Kremlin's coffers, which are straining to fund Putin's war machine.
In September, she was outlawed in British waters for attempting to "destabilise Ukraine or undermine or threaten" Kyiv by exporting oil from Russia to fund its invasion.

Starmer and the UK just allowed 2 Shadow Fleet tankers and a Russian frigate to sail right by the UK in the English Channel and didn't lift a finger to stop them, even though Starmer said weeks ago that the UK would start seizing Shadow Fleet tankers. If Britain can't even defend the English Channel these days, do you honestly think it can defend the Falkland Islands? The Royal Navy is no longer fit for service in NATO.
In August 2022, HMS Prince of Wales sailed out of Portsmouth to cross the Atlantic for joint exercises with the US Navy. She was the pride of the modern Royal Navy. A four-billion-pound aircraft carrier. The flagship of Global Britain.
She made it about 20 miles.
Then the propeller shaft coupling sheared & one of only two carriers in the entire British fleet limped back to port and spent the better part of a year in dry dock while American carriers did the work Britain had promised to do.

I've called the Canadian Navy a glorified Coast Guard but the UK can't even keep migrant boats off its shores.

I saw an item claiming that only five of the vaunted British surface fleet is seaworthy.

It sounds marginally ok but any given day, a significant percentage are in dry dock, undermanned, or waiting for spare parts.
And China launches more tonnage in a quarter than the Royal Navy possesses in total.

Side note, MIL had to go to the ER Wednesday night, and for the last 25 years, the ER waiting room and treatment rooms were packed every night with multihour waits just to get into the ER. The treatment rooms were half full, and from the time the ambulance dropped her off to when it took her back to her facility was about 5 hours. She had xrays and a cat scan and stitches in that time frame.

We did not have it this bad, but there were times I thought I'd stroke out with anger with our #1 son in college. He burned out a car engine by not checking oil. Brought a girl to our house when we were out of town. Toured universities on our dime then student loans. Many, many girlfriends. It seemed to go on and on, our agony.

Over time and with the luck of us not murdering him, he's a good married man now and votes conservative. But he put us through the dual hell that we gave our own parents in college times 100.

Prayers. Try hard to stay healthy. No one else was hurt, including your daughter. May she learn from this mistake.

Our boy was lucky at the time to be 2.5hrs away in Tampa and we were on the Atlantic. He had an oil leak he ignored as he drove all over the state to play his sax in gigs while in college.

This was his second car after two accidents, one totalling his first car. Neither accident was his fault.

That black cloud did hover over him for a couple of years and we dealt with it with much anger and angst. And he was the "smart one" from kindergarten to 12th grade. College upended that title. Our second boy sailed through in 4yrs of engineering and bloomed in college.

You never know which way your kids will go. Thankfully ours were so afraid of us they did not do drugs and told us when they started drinking (at party schools,no less, UF and FSU) at age 20yrs. The fear of parents works along with the love that you have to continue (well, the liking him at those times part, we always loved him).

Poland is pretty much the only thing keeping putin from rollinig into europe at this point.

Do not provide Europe or Britain with our oil or natural gas. Let them work it out. They will have a 'Coming to God' moment.
Israel is not politically monochromatic.
They have a conservative faction that is hell-bent-for-leather defending their sovereignty. The other faction is traditional Jewish socialism. The Jewish Socialists believe themselves to be superior and hate their conservatives. Those Jewish Socialists will do/say anything to undermine the conservatives, even at their own demise.
