He can't do it. I just pulled up the NYC rules and by-laws, and he would have to declare Executive Law 24 (only under a State of Emergency). There is no state of emergency. It would have to fall under disasters, rioting, or public health crises. He has none of these.

The other way to do it is under NYPD Operational Closures. And, that can only be done under IMMEDIATE Public Safety issues.

Pretty sure it is a standard 'Willieism' from when he introduces female performers who join him on stage.

I have only seen him use it for Emmylou...but, most performers have their canned lines for occasions.

Damage to the crop appears minimal to me. Treating the field with a sprayer probably kills hundreds of times more stalks of crop.

But racing down the shoulder on the wrong side of the road definitely puts other motorists' (and passengers, and pedestrians) lives at risk. Cops should have been shooting at him at that point.

I was talking to a friend yesterday (also recently retired) and we agreed that the ceasefire was purely to allow us to refit and reload. Negotiations are fine, but after 30+ grueling days, our troops needed to rest, do some deep maintenance, and bring in MOAR BOMBZ.

The fact that China, which had goaded and equipped Iran was now begging them to quit was just icing on a delicious classy, Trumpian cake.
