I had this one tenderizer I really loved for grilling or baking cuts of meat, with razor-sharp blades stood up in a row on a spring-loaded brace. You grab the handle, and the blades are not exposed; you push it into the meat, and the brace compresses while the blades continue on to pierce. Wham wham wham wham! Then marinate, and it soaks in deeply.

The problem was, with the plastic case and fiddly bits, unfixable breakage was inevitable. It was a very disposable tool, and the more such I outlast, the more I would rather get durable ones. So I never replaced it.

A bunch of the obscure stuff is B side tracks never released as a single. I was too broke to afford records or much in the way of cassettes, so my audio experience dates from the CD era plus whatever was on the radio. Since I lived in a college town, I got to hear more variety than most.

Once I was out walking our dogs and the crazy one started attacking a yellow jacket nest in the ground. Before I could react I had a mess of the little f'ers attacking me and both dogs. Once I got away and the bugs killed, yes they followed us back home, we called the vet and asked what to do about their stings. They both got stung a bunch. The vet said to give them Benadryl which I did.

They got totally hopped up on goofballs. One just sat in front of a wall staring at it for two hours. If it could talk it would have been saying, "oh wow man, do you see that? Oh wow. Oh wow...."

Rearm? With what? I assume they'll have difficulty getting Chinese or Russian equipment in, they have major financial shortfalls, and their national industry has been impacted. 2 weeks isn't very long, and what could they possibly obtain that would be an issue for us? There had been some evidence of them being in the Pacific Northwest, but then, not much else. it was a click-bait thing a few years ago. All I know is that any hornet that is as big as my thumb must be avoided.

Yes, I don't usually get to chime in on the cafes or the ONT; I post on the Tech Thread when I first get up, sometimes on the Morning Report, and often on the Art Thread. Thanks for your good thoughts. There are properties on Realtor in my price range, and more turn up (and some drop off as they're bought) every day, so I hope that when I start actually looking in person around 4/20, there will be something I love.

We already have hand-sized wasps called "tarantula hawks." What's a thumb-sized hornet compared to those?

Tarantula hawks also have one of the most painful poisons known, based on that psycho who intentionally got stung by everything to rate them. He thought a couple kinds of ants were worse.

125 Gotten stung by yellowjackets a couple three times back in the day. It's not just that they hurt, they're fucking vindictive little bastards. They aren't like bees which will usually leave you alone if you leave them alone. Oh no, they spot you and it's game on.

I'm very allergic. They and their children and grandchildren know where the picnic tables are and never forget.

Long story with much drama I won't get into, but one flew up my maxi sundress the afternoon Princess Diana died. I was supposed to be supervising our son in the garage using a table saw. I was there but drinking wine and reading a magazine.

When I screeched into the house his father thought son had cut off a finger, but it was just me running down the hall asking for Benadryl, baking soda, vinegar and meat tenderizer...stat. From one bite I had a huge bite, bigger than my hand. Painful. Had the tv on at midnight when she had the car crash.

Woke my husband to tell him she died and he said,"Well, that's sad but I really don't care."
