Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Iran Media Celebrates the Great Islamic Victory in Rescue of F-15 WSO; Joe Kent Spreads Iran Propaganda Lie That US Was Attempting to Kill the Weapons Officer Rather Than Rescue HimWho put forward Joe Kent's name? Whoever did should be fired. I'm guessing it was Tulsi Gabbard but I don't know that. He's a traitor and don't give me that jazz that servicemembers can't be traitors. Benedict Arnold was a capable commander until he turned over West Point to England. He posted a dishonest message that PJs (pararescue men, who I thought were Pararescue Jumpers, but no one seems to call them that) are "the best" while posting Iranian propaganda funneled through Iran's American agents at DropSite news that the US was attempting to murder its own man.American GIs, Tokyo Joe has a new message for you. The IRGC is having its way with your wives and girlfriends, American GIs. Oh I'm getting to that, below. American warplanes and drones released, a former pararescue man reports based on his insider knowledge, "violence of Biblical proportions" in the "FAFO box" around the downed airmen. No, Tokyo Joe, it wasn't to kill the wizzo. It was to eradicate hundreds of Islamic Occupation Army thugs hunting him and rushing to his position. You know, most traitors believe they're doing the right thing by championing a foreign country over their own. Plus, traitors tend to be enormous egotists, narcissists really, who always know better than everyone else. Here's some background about the foreign propaganda mill "Drop Site News." The madwoman that Tokyo Joe leaked to instead of doing his actual job has some thoughts as well: ![]()
Outstanding work, guys. Give yourselves all a bonus. The bitter communists are celebrating the loss of the planes and helos as a big Win for Iran:
Peter BakerIf it sounds to you like a giant commie lie that it's a war crime to target military-used infrastructure in war, that's because that's exactly what it is. This bitter communist professor says the US committed war crimes by targeting "military aged males" rushing to capture the downed pilot. He claims they might have just been civilians racing up the mountain towards the pilot so they're all war criminals. "Age and gender," he intones, are not enough under International Law to establish that someone is a combatant. How about context? Seems to me the only people racing up a mountain where a downed pilot is hidden are going to be people trying to capture him, not Recreational Armed Speed Hikers.
2) He said there was an intense firefight -- "violence of Biblical proportions" -- between ground Basij and IRGC forces and lots of American planes and drones sent to protect the area where the downed pilot was hiding. The American forces created an "FAFO box" around the pilot's position and anyone coming with in it got the FO. Planes and drones were bombing open road just to slow down the approaching Islamic Occupation Army forces. (Which the left tells me is a war crime. But then, so was targeting the Occupation forces rushing to capture and torture the pilot.) 3) Unfortunately some of the rescuers were wounded by bullets and shrapnel in the firefight. I expect this will be the subject of intense press curiosity over the next months. They will turn this Anti-Benghazi, where we actually committed all the forces necessary to achieve a rescue, into "Trump's Benghazi." 4) He does not estimate the number of Islamic Occupational Army thugs killed by from context it sounds like it could be in the hundreds. 5) Because the C-130s were stuck, they had to send in more C-130s to pick up the special forces operators now out in the open in Iran and surrounded by Islamic Occupation Army forces. 6) He says he was leaked the information -- actually he pretends he's speaking "hypothetically allegedly" -- that some of the joint chiefs did not want to mount the rescue at all, considering it too dangerous, but someone with the handle "SecWar" overruled them. Hello! Happy Tuesday! Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1
So, the Democrat 2028 platform is going to be "give everyone deported full citizenship" "arrest all Republicans" and "try Trump for war crimes."

Iran had a full day head start. The colonel was injured and only had a sidearm and a locator beacon. Iran NEEDED this victory. They NEEDED to parade the POW around and torture him. They offered a bounty of roughly 20-30x the annual Iranian salary to catch him in addition to getting direct reports with experience to go. And they fucking failed miserably, getting slaughtered in the process. "Please, children, protect our power plants," makes a whole lot of sense. Running around a battlefield shooting at uniformed troops while wearing civilian clothes and no identifying mark such as an armband or brassard to show that you're part of a lawful military/paramilitary unit qualifies you as an unlawful combatant. If Iran strikes Saudi and Gulf states energy and desalination facilities this thing probably becomes a massive Sunni-Shia war with Saudi, Gulf states, Pakistan on one side and Iran and Iraqi Shias on the other side. It's possible that with AI drone swarms aiding local uprisings and with air support from the US and Israel the currently unarmed local resistance could do something against the regime, but we would need like a million drones. Not knowing where he stood I sorta gently broached the subject of the current warfighting, and he just shook his head and said "You don't need to pussy-foot about this around me. Fuck those assholes, we should be bombing them more." Message received. The Shia Mahdism cult in Iran has nothing in common with Venezuelans.
They'll have to be blasted out of existence in their last bunkers like Hitler and his die harders. The cultists in control are not a majority of the Iranian people, so in principle the people could overthrow them, but the weapons are in the hands of the cultists. Also, people in the West are really underestimating the inventory of ballistic missiles and drones they still have in these supposedly 27 deep hardened underground facilities and apparently Iranian manpads as well, which supposedly took out the F-15E. It should be a wake-up call for our military strategists how Iran was readily able to destroy US radars, aircraft and base facilities with missiles and drones and even now we are still in distant stand-off mode from our targets because of this threat. Posted by: Pete Bog at April 07, 2026 12:58 PM (XB9yx) This operation was more complex than the bin Laden raid. It took place in unknown territory instead of a compound we'd duplicated for months of training, against a theoretically unlimited OPFOR. There was functionally no lead time. One minute the -15 was fine, the next there were two Americans on parachutes. Instead of a unique, homogenous, specialized force, we used combined arms which - while we're all on the same team - complicates things more than none. This rescue was absolutely bonkers, and the more you look at it, the crazier it gets. Posted by: Washington Nearsider: Gotterdammerung at April 07, 2026 01:03 PM (FmapG) 240

The plan included taking a helicopter and intentionally crash landing in the middle of the POW camp after hosing down the guard towers with miniguns at virtually point-blank range. One of the most complex special ops missions ever attempted by the US, and despite several hiccups and such during the mission, it was executed perfectly. The cost analysis on the lost equipment is missing the point.
I was worth billions to prevent Iran from dragging one of our men through the streets like they have in the past. Not just for the loss of an American serviceman, but for the propaganda value. The only reason to hesitate is the fear of making it worse and losing more men. The equipment cost does not enter the equation - it is trivial. The thing is, these were career risking decisions. Hegseth would have been in a world of shit had he pulled a Jimmy Carter and the mission failed. He put his career on the line for the rescue. Trump DGAF, but he too would have paid a high price. The win here is that we have leaders willing to put their careers and reputation at risk because it is the right thing to do. What a change. It should be a wake-up call for our military strategists how Iran was readily able to destroy US radars, aircraft and base facilities with missiles and drones and even now we are still in distant stand-off mode from our targets because of this threat.
Huh? Were our bases in Bahrain and Qatar destroyed? Posted by: Cow Demon at April 07, 2026 01:17 PM (E6xSb) 303

Posted by: bob (moron incognitus) at April 07, 2026 01:15 PM (513IY) This. Obama/Clinton used a political calculus in Benghazi. Trump/Hegseth used a moral calculus here. Posted by: Anonosaurus Wrecks, Damn It Feels Good to Be a Trumpster! at April 07, 2026 01:14 PM (ndZc7) This was posted by someone in San Francisco. Instant deal breaker. They don't really have single, conservative women there. I'm out. Posted by: Washington Nearsider: Gotterdammerung at April 07, 2026 01:20 PM (FmapG) 306
268 The biggest trick was to fool some people that they were inside the tent, and now ,after being exposed, they are trowing hissy fits, using the same tactics and verbiage, word for word, that triggered leftists used forever to browbeat the right. lol
Posted by: runner ==== They are squealing because their chance for power after Trump is dying. The relatively few Groypers and online engagement with bots, etc. are not enough. And Vance best have a Sister Souljah moment with his internal staff or Rubio is going to get the nod for 2028. Posted by: whig at April 07, 2026 01:24 PM (E4rtv) 307
They didn't send in more C-130's to bring everyone out.
They send "Dash 8's", which are DeHavilland twin turboprops with less lift capacity, but enough to work with. These are Army aircraft, not AF. They didn't need 130's because they weren't going to carry the MI-6 helicopters, which is why they used 130's to begin with. Posted by: ed in texas at April 07, 2026 01:26 PM (aRhta) 308
294 Cuckson was totally triggered by Trump refusing to take his calls, and the rest. And now this private all boys school cucksucker is acting his best bunny boiler self. Ranting and raving. He was always a shallow, vindictive little shit, with massive paranoia and delusions of grander.
Posted by: runner ======= Substance abuse behavior of a dry drunk. Brother is still in the throes of it. Reminds me of the funny moment involving Rob Schneider 1st Lt. in Down Periscope (Kelsey Grammar). Rob's character at one point demands that that the Captain (Kelsey Grammar) surrender control of the ship so the Captain lets Rob make his speech, the crew laughs at Rob, and the Captain tells the 1st Lt. that he is now guilty of attempted mutiny. The rest of it is a spoiler. Posted by: whig at April 07, 2026 01:29 PM (E4rtv) 309

"Yeah, I seem to remember back in 2020 having your property destroyed wasn't a big deal." It wasn't a big deal when Biden left billions of dollars of equipment and the dead bodies of 13 American soldiers when he bailed out of Afghanistan. Or when Hilary was complicit in the tragic debacle in Benghazi and brushed it all off by snarling, "At this point, what difference does it make." Posted by: RM at April 07, 2026 01:39 PM (n/1Oj) 311
