Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report — 4/7/26![]() Good morning kids. This morning it's all about miracles and wonders. on the last episode of the podcast linked here and in the sidebar also available on the popular platforms listed at the bottom of the post I poo-pooed the Artemis moon mission but colleague and cob CBD observed how the mission was yet another confirmation of, despite all our many and serious problems, the greatness of this nation in being able to send a sophisticated piece of technology and an incredibly skilled and brave crew on a half million mile journey to the moon and return safely please God. it was plain for all the world to see. while I do question the necessity of the government to be funding and involved in space technology and exploration, the Artemis mission and most especially the free market enterprises such as SpaceX are engaging in the necessary task of giving America the edge in securing the ultimate high ground for our national security and future prosperity. So consider me duly chastised in this regard. I hope that despite it being yet another DC Bureaucracy, perhaps Nasa and its partners in the private sector and the War Dept. can overcome the typical pitfalls of bureaucracy and make great strides in the aforementioned. Maybe I'm being more than a bit Pollyannaish, but still, here we are 53 years after the last lunar mission and making history again. “You’ve made history and made all America really proud, incredibly proud,” Trump told the four astronauts just hours after they emerged from the far side of the moon. “Humans have really never seen anything quite like what you’re doing in a manned spacecraft,” Trump marveled. “It’s really special.” The commander in chief was introduced to the crew by NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman, who noted the president “wanted to be the first person to greet you after your return from the far side of the moon.”As awe-inspiring as this is, for my money there is nothing more inspiring and incredible as the bravery and daring of our men and women in uniform. U.S. special operations forces rescued the second crew member from a downed F-15E fighter jet in Iran after a “heavy firefight,” successfully extracting both airmen and all rescue personnel from the country, according to multiple reports. “The CIA executed a deception campaign to confuse the Iranians, who were desperately hunting for our airman. On Saturday morning, we achieved our primary objective by finding and providing confirmation that one of America’s best and bravest was alive and concealed in a mountain crevice, still invisible to the enemy but not to the CIA,” Ratcliffe said. (RELATED: Israeli Airstrike Takes Out Top Iranian Intel Chief, Officials Say)Well, I imagine if John Brennan was still running Langley, he'd have guided the IRGC right to the downed airmen. The same Brennan who helped concoct the deception campaign known as the Russian collusion hoax. hopefully now we can finish the job or at long last the Persian people can rise up and finish off the Mullahs. President Donald Trump said on Sunday that the United States attempted to supply Iranian protesters with weapons this year so they could defend themselves against another massacre, but the effort was not successful because Kurdish intermediaries decided to keep some of the guns for themselves.I and doubtless many of you had contemplated this kind of move. well to be fair the Kurds have been the targets of the mullahs, Saddam Hussein and the Turks because of their national aspirations and so arming them I suppose was a bridge too far for the Foggy Bottom bottom dwellers. That said to play devil's advocate do we really want to arm a potential insurgent force that could carry out terroristic acts in the same vein as the Basque separatists of Eta or the Ira? then again the Kurds are not fanatical islamists. but if they can destabilize and counter the IRGC and mullahs maybe it's missed opportunity. with that... Have a great day! And lastly, a quick shout-out and a huge thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know. Have a great day! From the article about the Dems' view on the working class:
But to Kimmel, all that was condensed to being a “plumber,” as if his left-wing audience would likewise see a plumber reaching the highest levels of government as a joke. Sorry to say I disagree with your NASA assesment. NASA lead the way to DEI decades ago and it is so entrenched now it can never be removed.
NASA is collection of massively corrupt, over-grown sandboxes that was doing great pulling the wool over everyone's eyes until Musk found a way to make money in space. Goodbye NATO. An update on a prior post:
Trump & Co released a report on US global strategic priorities: 1. Fortress Americas with a latter-day Monroe Doctrine 2. The Far East. We'll try to get China to play nice, but if not see #1 3. Europe. Has lost its way. If they don't find their way back, it's on them. See #1 4. Africa. Benign neglect. See #1 On #1, we have Venezuela, Greenland and soon Cuba On #2, witness Japan's PM hugging Trump yesterday On #3, see Europe's open hostility to American interests in Iran. Europe has similar interests, but they fear their imported Muslims Trump will have us out of NATO by the end of 2026. Posted by: Ignoramus at April 07, 2026 07:52 AM (dtajH) 25

It would be insanely foolish to give ANY group in the Middle East weapons in the belief they’d willingly turn them over to someone else. Powerline Blog has a follow up on the South African refugees Trump has taken in.
Known a few South Africans recently arrived in America, Afrikaner and English. Uniformly, they’ve said, what a joy just to be able to walk around freely. Without fear of attack. One young South African guy, when I raised the security issue, just blurted out, “I had a gun put to my head.” A South African woman said an American told her, we have home invasions in this country, too. She asked, how many people do you know who have been home invaded? None, he said. I don’t know anyone who hasn’t had a home invasion, she told him. Her elderly parents were tied up at gunpoint. She was grateful they were only robbed. My Afrikaner exGF carried a gun as a young woman out on the town. Explained cheerfully, you don’t stop for red lights in South Africa. That’s where they’re waiting for you. Welcome to America. More immigration like this please. Afrikaners just want to work. Contribute. 44 Trump’s claim that some Kurdish intermediaries kept weapons intended for the Iranian resistance is disturbing if true, mainly because if true it means whoever pushed that program has a disturbing naïveté about the entire region.
It would be insanely foolish to give ANY group in the Middle East weapons in the belief they’d willingly turn them over to someone else. Thats not how anyone in the region, even those who we think are receptive to us, thinks or is capable of doing. 1. They're hand-wringing if Trump is bluffing. TACO! Wait, TACO? "He seems serious this time." All the progtards simply view Trump as impulsive, volatile, no plan whatsoever, stupid and my new favourite pathological, narcissistic mysogynist. 2. Iran is threatening to no longer restrain itself. Because when the bombing started, their first impulse was to hold back. But now bridges, foreign piwer and desalination plants are on the table. 3. Irans calling on civilians to act as human shields and form human chains around power plants. I'm sure their going to get right on that Mo! You first.... I'm not sure what's going to happen, but I don't want this going on until 2069. And if President Trump can help the Cubans before the mid-terms, this all goes down the memory hole. Kharg Island is one of the largest oil refineries and terminals Iran has. Deep water for large tankers. If the US controls Kharg, the US controls the oil processed and shipped for there. A huge amount of oil that Iran exports moves through Kharg.

And it is an enclave that would consume a lot of resources for force protection coupled with logistics struggles. A new government will need the revenue to rebuild. But I think what it really shows is that right of center people prefer discussions, not hierarchy and honestly there are way, way more right of center people at least in the US. The left is competitive due to fraud, LIVs influenced by the media, and people voting for who is giving them $$$ - none of those three groups is going to go to twitter to ask Brian Allen if the Democrat's take on the Iran war is good for the country. Democrats Plot Impeachment of Trump a Third Time
Why stop there lol? Rep. Yassamin Ansari (D-Ariz.) said she will introduce articles of impeachment against Hegseth next week for "repeatedly violating his oath of office and his duty to the Constitution." The list of reasons is endless. Let's start with him touting America's "air dominance" just before one of our fighter planes was shot down by Iranian air defense and two of our soldiers had to be rescued behind enemy lines, and openly defying a federal judge who ruled that the Pentagon violated the first amendment by restricting press access to his "department of war." Should impeach him for restricting women and minorities from being promoted to top general positions, because Trump doesn't want to stand next to them in a parade. Whoever authorized bombing a kindergarten needs to be tried as well as the one that actually did the bombing. We need to make it crystal clear if you are military and don't disobey a illegal order you will face punishment. Just a reminder that the current “Secretary of War” was kicked out of military service for theft, substance abuse, and sexual misconduct. But they can play havoc with parked aircraft (one of them may have taken out that E-3C at a Saudi airbase) and randomly hit schools, apartment buildings, and other non-hardened mil and civvy stuff. China likely has similar cluster IRBM warheads aimed at Guam and other US Pacific bases. I saw a police cam video a while back.
Cop is called to a domestic disturbance. He parks his car and starts walking up to a house. When he gets about 10 feet from the door a woman comes sprinting out with a knife charging at him. He started backing up and reaching for his pistol but he had maybe a second and shot her as she landed at his feet. Now, what happens if that is an unarmed social worker? Also if you find threads on this sort of thing you will find the left complains BOTH that the cops arrest to many people when going to domestic disturbances AND that they don't take them seriously enough. This is caused by the conflict between the left's pro-crime side and its feminist side - something like what happens when you drop a cat with a slice of peanut butter toast on its back onto a carpet... "U.S. hit dozens of military targets on Kharg Island overnight,” the official told Fox on Tuesday. The U.S. middle class is shrinking, but not because more Americans are poorer. Instead, more households are climbing into the echelons of the upper middle class due to income gains in recent decades, according to research from the nonpartisan American Enterprise Institute.
About 31% of U.S. households earn enough to be considered upper middle class, a roughly threefold increase since 1979, making it the nation's largest economic group, the research found. Meanwhile, the share of Americans in the "core" and "low" middle class segments has declined over that time, primarily because more households in those income groups have jumped ahead economically, AEI found. The "Hello World" photo is actually of the Earth's dark side. The glow in the lower right corner is the obscured Sun while you can see both auroras.
