Hell yes!!!! In fact, when they do their first orbit of the Moon, that colonialist Canadian Astronaut is going to have to make a Land Acknowledgement to the original moon landers (the United States of America) or he gets tossed out the hatch.

In fact, any future moon landings by countries other than the US will require a stipend tribute (there will be a collection dish) as well as a heart felt Land Acknowledgement to the original occupants. My brother is a contractor. He got called once because a woman with a multi million dollar house had a friend of her's stay over and brought her stupid daughter. The stupid daughter overflows the toilet and it kept running onto the floor in an upstairs bathroom. Doesn't tell anybody, and goes to bed with it still flooding over. I don't even have to finish the story, other than say a ton of nice shit got trashed in the floor below.

Women shouldn't be on long space voyages.

One reason is that the female body doesn't handle being dirty as well as the male body. (Private parts being interior rather than exterior makes cleanliness both more important and more difficult to do.) Also a reason women shouldn't be in the military.

With a round earth, the plane flies a reasonable 450mph or so. With a flat earth, suddenly they have to fly a LOT faster to make the distance in time. Flat earthers have no reasonable answer for it.

Also of some amusement was the Flat Earth "Final Experiment". Somebody offered to fly some of these guys to Antarctica to see the 24 hour sun. They had agreed that would be impossible on their flat earth disc map.

Trump's pardon is another one challenging recent practice like the reading of the 14th allowing anchor babies. Apparently the early belief was that the President's pardons DID actually cover all criminal prosecutions whether state or federal.

And it makes a sort of sense. Kings had absolute pardon power as it was simply a circuit breaker to prevent injustice.

One cannot become a tyrant by pardoning people in a world of negative liberties. Only by putting them in prison unjustly.

The risk is that a Dem in office would simply pardon all of their criminal supporters simply to get votes.

How much the people understood about this is uncertain, but the Bible does not definitively describe the earth as flat. IT contains poetic passages that talk about the "four corners" of the earth etc, but that's like saying "sunrise" even though we know the earth spins and the sun is static relative to earth.

Sounds like nonsense. The Mercator map, for example unrolls a sphere onto a cylinder. Its advantage is that if you sail a ship using the bearing gotten by drawing a line on the Mercator map, you actually get there on the real sea. If the Earth was not a globe, this would not work.

The fact that different stars show as you move N or S also is hard to explain if the earth is flat.

Not necessarily so. States themselves are limited by their own state constitutions and not following those in mostly blue states is debatable whether those states are actually fulfilling the Bill of Rights. Notice that even the Colorado appellate court threw back sentencing based on Colorado's violation of federal free speech rights.

The normal resort is to the federal courts via a habeas act but that is very difficult until appeals go all the way up to final resolution in the state court system.

There is an old maxim in law--every right must have a remedy and a right with no remedy (redressibility) is not a right at all.

A presidential pardon is simply another remedy for a rights violation. FWIW, you might want to read Madison's Federalist 46 regarding state versus federal relations. Inevitably, he holds that the PEOPLE of the US, not the states, determine who is to be superior in disputes.

There was some sort of resurgence of it online with the Internet starting around 10 years ago or so. As was mentioned above there is speculation that it was born out of "They're lying about everything, even the most basic stuff".

I read the original Hollow Earth Theory book (not sure if I own it) but I remember it saying early on: "Scientists say that the earth weighs 6x10^24 kg. This is much too large" .. well OK then.

The real issue for the world inside the hollow earth would be that gravity inside the shell would be virtually 0, it all cancels out

They did but given history is often more filled by gaps, I suspect other civilizations came to the same conclusions. That is the value of true science, its findings are verifiable by repeated observations, cultures, and civilizations.

They did...Ancient Greek astronomer Eratosthenes proved the world was round and calculated its circumference (c. 240 BCE) using shadows cast by the sun. By measuring the angle of a shadow in Alexandria while knowing the sun was directly overhead at noon in Syene (where no shadow was cast), he calculated the Earth's curvature

If the walking surface of the inside of hollow earth were on the underside of the outer surface, one would think that centrifugal forces would keep critters' feet on the ground.

Read an SF story about a world where peeps lived at the base of a huge wall. One guy built a way to climb it, found out that the space there had the properties of a Moebius strip and he walked in one direction and got back to his starting point.
