Women of The New Religious Wars

universal remote control w.jpg

So disappointing to some . . . .

I woke up this morning to the following trending news item on X:

Carrie Prejean Boller Challenges Bishop Barron Over Commission Firing

Boller, a recent Catholic convert and former evangelical, said the text supported her belief that modern Israel does not fulfill biblical prophecy, a stance she links to her February removal from President Trump's White House Religious Liberty Commission. Barron acknowledged the text but attributed her dismissal to disruptive behavior at a prior meeting, like browbeating witnesses and hijacking discussions. He affirmed the Catholic view condemning antisemitism and supporting Israel's right to exist while rejecting prophetic fulfillment, a position less common among evangelicals. The public clash highlights tensions in conservative circles over theology, religious authenticity, and coalition unity.

This story is a summary of posts on X and may evolve over time. Grok can make mistakes, verify its outputs.

Prediction prompted by a bit of earlier communication from Prejean Boller to the Bishop:

*

It appears that she is keeping up her attacks on those she wants to support her.

Here is an interchange in which Seth Dillon was able to tone her down during the meeting after which she was removed from the commission:

* * * * *

Speaking of Candace Owens, she spoke at a Catholics for Catholics gala on the 19th, where she talked about learning to love Mary, the mother of Jesus after her conversion. And where she also did this:

Yahoo News ran a dark piece about Catholics for Catholics after their gala, Candace Owens, Joe Kent and generally others viewed as conservatives. The piece claims that Candace was supposed to interview Joe Kent. But I was struck by the characterization of Kent as having "proximity to" white supremacists and neo-Nazis. And characterizing Candace as "MAGA Right".

For the conspiracy theorists

* * * * *

Carrie Prejean Boller has posted memes on social media suggesting that she, Candace Owens and Ana Kasparian will always be there to support the people of Gaza. Whether or not they are actually from Gaza.

* * * * *

There is also an evangelical woman in the news, namely Insurrectionist Barbie, who wrote a long essay which Ted Cruz recommended that people read. This led to some people calling him anti-Catholic.

The Long Game
How a Network of Catholic Integralists, Russian Ideologues, and Media Provocateurs Are Systematically Dismantling the Evangelical Foundation of the American Right

Insurrectionist!

This is a deep piece that takes some time to read. You may agree or disagree with part or all of it.

Juicy Ecumenism wrote a much shorter piece about the essay. It has some typical leftist academic slant, but gives you an idea what the arguments are about.

Another womanly thing to think about:

WEEKEND

The Week In Pictures: Gayatollah Edition

As the “endless” conflict in Iran neared third weeks old, it continued to dominate the news and, to a large extent, the memes. Reports of a gay Ayatollah prompted a great deal of meme-merriment. Of course there was other news: the Democrats’ shutdown of DHS continued, freedom for Cuba glimmered on the horizon, Chuck Norris died. Allegedly. And, finally–Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Oh wait, one more thing–reportedly there was some kind of party in Hollywood last week, but I don’t know anything about it because no one watched it.

6 Carrie Prejean Boller is far more a narcissist, maybe even Borderline Personality Disorder, far more than she is Catholic.

I don’t understand how reading something from an evangelical is anti Catholic. I really enjoy Insurrection Barbie, people have tried to attack her past, but isn’t that what being Christian is about? Recognizing flaws, seeking forgiveness and doing what you can to be better. I only know 1 perfect person.

16 Sure, the Left turned on Chavez at least a decade ago. But I don't buy that this is an op. Why bother? There isn't a single Aztec revanchist organization or Democrat politician or SJW who would ever say a kind word for him under any circumstances, prior to the accusations.

Chavez and UFW had both already gotten the bell, book, and candle and been convicted of retroactive apostasy, so there's really no point.

I think it's just a couple of clapped out old Communist scrunts who sense that they can capitalize on that hatred for Chavez on the Left, whether their allegations are true or not.

28 Judas Priest. I have no idea what this means.

Dispensationalism is
an evangelical theological framework interpreting history as a series of distinct,7-period,divine-led dispensations—such as Law and Grace—characterized by a sharp distinction between Israel and the Church, a literal interpretation of prophecy, and a premillennial, pretribulational eschatology. Developed in the 19th century, it emphasizes that God has distinct plans for Israel and the Church, with a future millennial kingdom.
Core Beliefs of Dispensationalism

Distinct Peoples: A fundamental separation between Israel (earthly people) and the Church (heavenly people), with God's plans for each remaining distinct.
Literal Hermeneutics: A consistent, literal, grammatical-historical approach to interpreting Scripture, especially prophecy.
Historical Periods (Dispensations): History is divided into periods (often seven: Innocence, Conscience, Human Government, Promise, Law, Grace, Kingdom) where God manages human affairs differently, typically ending in judgment.

Posted by: Archimedes at March 21, 2026 11:41 AM (Riz8t)

29 And the Devil working to divide Christians is nothing new. Neither is the rejection of modern day Israel, which is just old school jew hate wearing new clothes.

Anyone who does not see the hand of Almighty God in the 1948 establishment of Israel is deliberately blind.

43 This is unfortunate. There are a number of nominally right wing media and political jackals looking to cash in on hatred of Jews, and this is hard to do among evangelicals. So they are donning the garb of other Christians, since the Leftist cant about the Eternal Jew doesn't sell on the Right, and they need some religious angle to work.

This is going to be an ongoing problem for these denominations, and it's particularly sad for the Catholics, since they set aside their antisemitism long, long ago, and have been a group the WASP elites have historically hated only slightly less than Jews.

Neither Boller nor Osteen are noted for their theological credentials and thus rely on cherry picking the Bible and tradition in order to make money from the foolish.

The political/media world is a Left-Liberal monoculture and "our" "side" is just a pile of fresh meat for them, since we are completely unrepresented save for Donald Trump, which makes us pathetically thirsty and willing to believe in literally *anyone* who makes even a desultory pretense of being on our side. 75 It has been this way my entire life, and no matter how many times these avaricious cretins screw us, we bite the next hook greedily - and often when it's set by the same exact fisherman who put one through our eye the day before.

The left is no different. It is a universal human condition and summarized in the Who's, "Won't Get Fooled Again". Meet the New Boss, Just the Same as the Old Boss indeed. Also see, Rudyard Kipling's "Gods of the Copybook Headings."

All we can do in this vale of tears is our part to make things better around us, we have no control over society.

76 The job of a subversive is to undermine an organization from the inside. Their deception depends largely on giving the appearance of being a member of that organization or group, then using that position to subvert and corrupt its fundamental tenets.

Remember that when you watch Tucker, or this buffoon, Boller. Especially when they continue to use fallacies like the appeal to authority, that is their own fabricated authority, to try and defend their arguments. Truth is their biggest enemy.

These people are organized, well-funded and are becoming more prevalent in liberty oriented organizations. Guess where that’s coming from?

It’s about time we not only better screen and are more cautious about who enters these forums, but when they’re discovered, we should be beating them with a shovel.

77 There are a number of nominally right wing media and political jackals looking to cash in on hatred of Jews, and this is hard to do among evangelicals. So they are donning the garb of other Christians, since the Leftist cant about the Eternal Jew doesn't sell on the Right, and they need some religious angle to work.

There was a recent analysis of Joe Kent I ran across, that had an insight to put the split, or at least the reason for the split, in a different light

"The deeper split is over whether Jews are intrinsic to the American civilizational body or extrinsic to it. If extrinsic, fusion looks like capture, subsidy, or entanglement. If intrinsic, fusion looks like self-defense, continuity maintenance, and home-system consolidation. Everything downstream [ . . . ] reads differently depending on which definition of America you inhabit." (@BryantMcGill https://tinyurl.com/e9hkku3u)

This would indicate a strange alliance between neocons and people who support Israel for other reasons against isolationists and people who want everything to calm down to let things go on for trade and security

79 If you get the wrong end of a problem, then you can never fix it. The simple answers don't work because they don't apply, and the extended solutions don't work because they don't address what the problem is.

Unfortunately, there is that part of us that makes us stick to a solution once we have defined it according to our needs. Even if it is destructive.

See Covid shots and shutting down restaurants, churches and stores for a good example.

Early church history circa is replete with tales of all sorts of rascal heretics as those that actually witnessed Jesus and his life died off as did their successors. So by the time three generations had passed, you start getting the truly bizarre amalgamation of elements of Christianity but turned toward dark practices. You can be theologically well-educated. Which can appear smart, but usually uses a lot bigger words to obscure things. And define those important words using other important big words.

You can be theologically wise, too. These are the people who can actually point you to God through Scripture. A lot of them are also theologically smart. Some of them are even theologically well-educated. Their faith is usually a bit easier to see.

135 Well, this is a deep subject.

Romans explains a lot about JC fulfilling the OT law. Whether there are different "dispensations" or not, hard to say exactly. But JC was the one time human sacrifice, so Galatians 3:28 "There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."

imo this may well be true even in the OT, not the one in Christ part, but there were plenty of evil "Jews" in the OT, and often only a remnant were faithful. And JC spoke to the Gentile when she said even the dogs can eat the scraps from the table (or something like that).

On the civil/social level, our fight is more against globalist tyrants and Islamic "supremacists". Fighting for "Western Civilization" is the rallying point that should bind us together (and mostly it has).

I have some disdain for any "group" (headed by earthly men) that claims "Join us or you are going to hell, and (usually) we will treat you like the infidels you are if you don't submit to us". Even outside the body of Christ, the only other raisings from the dead are the resurrection of the just, and the resurrection of the unjust. (not counting miracle raising of Lazarus and such)
